G U I L D - Q U E S T I O N S
Q.) So what do I do first?A.) The first thing you need to do, upon joining, is set aside some time to read through all of the information in the info subforum, as well as the battle system subforum. This way, before you start doing anything else in the guild, you understand Bleach, if you haven't seen the series, or read the manga, and, you know how our battle system works, since its such a heavy part of play. If you have a hard time with the battle system, check our FAQ for it in the info forum, that explains pretty much everything.
Q.) Okay, I read all of that, now what?A.) Now, you need to get started on your character. Character sheets are located in the Soul Society subforum, in the Records of Soul Society thread, and in the mortal world, under the Ryoka Profile thread. Here, you can find the character sheet format, aka template. Once you have your character designed, you'll need to post your profile. If you're a Shinigami, you'll also have to get your Shikai, and any custom Kidou you want to use, approved before using them in play. Shikai may not be posted to get approved until you reach level 4 in play.
Q.) Can I begin role playing even though my shikai isn't approved yet?A.) You can start role playing as soon as you have your profile up. Remember to make a journal in the journal subforum before you do any heavy playing, just because it lets the other role-players know what your character thinks about the current things happening to him and reveals storylines, etc. Even if a lot of the information can't be used in character, it helps other people work their characters in around yours.
Q.) Where does my character sheet go?A.) This question is also answered under another section of the General Questions area of the F.A.Q. Once completed, your character sheet, if your character will be in Soul Society, should go into the Soul Society Profiles thread. If your character will be in the mortal world, the sheet will go into the Ryoka Profiles thread.
Q.) How do I become a member of the crew?A.) Crew members are selected by Dischord and Kenkaru, and show extreme dedication to the guild, a desire to work together with the other moderators, a knowledge of the guild and it's inner workings, and are selected. Those who request these privileges are automatically denied. This status is offered, and only offered, after you've proven yourself, and been active in the guild for at least six months.
Q.) How do I become part of the Gotei 13, and do I have to be crew to do so?A.) This came up because currently only members of the crew are playing the Gotei 13. This is to keep the storyline moving along accordingly. People will be allowed to play Captain/Vice Captain eventually, as their own story, and the main guild story progresses. Captaincy/VC is given based on several things. Dedication to the guild, staying active, character development, character level, and proof that you won't abandon the guild.
Anyone who leaves, or quits, forfeits their right to play captain, even if they come back at a later date, they will have to go through the steps to become a captain again, and in the case of quitting the guild entirely, will once again have to build their character from level 1.
Becoming Captain requires at least level 40+. Becoming Vice Captain of a squad requires at least level 30-35+. We hope this answers all questions thus far, regarding the process. More specifics will be added as people approach the level of strength where they can step forward from a seated member, to a squad leader.
