Family was something Ezeoha appreciated greatly, but there comes a time in a lion's life when a thought could strike his head. One family was obviously so perfect, why would two, or even three, be much different? The thought was not considered seriously, but still it floated around on his head, always there to nag him at times when he was alone. Ezeoha was a young male, and as a young male he was inflicted with a very bad case of 'hormones'. Ever since meeting Chinara he had been doing a wonderful time at keeping them under control. He had a keend devotion to Chinara, and did not want to do anything to upset her. But there were times when he longed to just walk away and flirt with the first female he saw. These urges were being kept under strict control, but they were shaking him up from the inside, and it was unsure of when he'd kick control to the side and indulge himself a little.

Earlier he had visited Chinara and his son, Nunda, and the visit had put him in a considerably good mood. His family always seemed to make him smile. The young male lion was wandering just outside of the border of the Pridelands, wondering briefly if he could find anything interesting to bring home to Nunda. His son had taken quite a strange interest to any animal that was unique. Ezeoha should've been disappointed that his son had not even attempted to flirt at his age, but surprisingly Ezeoha was happy just with the way Nunda was. The cub had quite a few interesting quirks, and Ezeoha loved walking along side him as Nunda explained to him everything he knew about animals. Most of the things Ezeoha didn't care about, or knew about, but he just simply enjoyed listening to Nunda's voice, his enthusiasm, and simply enjoyed just observing him.

He was such a very proud father.

Continuing on his way, his vibrant red jewelry flashed underneath the glare of the sunlight. It was obvious that he prided himself on how he appeared. His ear was pierced thrice times, red studs and one loop poking through the holes. A necklace dangled from his neck, bracelets from his limbs and tail. The jewelry accented his red eyes, which seemed to be the most striking feature about him. Everything else was natural, brown and gold tones. But his eyes were different, bright red, and hinting at his flirtatious nature almost bluntly.

Nuhusi was more of a leopardess of the night. And with her sleak black coat, who could blame her? But weather conditions had prevented her from being up and about the previous evening, so she was up in broad daylight today, against her preference. She moved along through the golden grass like water flowing over stones, smoothly and silkily. She had no intentions on hunting today, but that didn't mean she couldn't gain some ground on her travels. She never had a destination, but she always wanted to wake up somewhere new.

She paused a moment, lifting her bright orange eyes to peer into the distance. Something kept catching the rays of the sun and shining back its light. She couldn't see what it was from this distance it was so shiney. Perhaps it was a spirit? She pulled out a claw on one paw and drew some runes in the earth to ward against it if it were evil. Next to those she offered welcoming ones in case it was friendly. You didn't get to meet good spirits often, after all!

A black form contrasted sharply against the golden stalks of grass, and his red eyes narrowed, trying to make out the identity of the form. But, the distance was too great, and Ezeoha could not guess what it was. He knew it was living, knew that it probably was not a Pridelander. When a little intuition came into play, though, he figured it couldn't be all that dangerous of a creature. It had stopped moving, and made no threatening advances towards him. Who knew? It really could be something friendly. After a few minutes of pondering, he shrugged his sleek shoulders and moved forwards, his movements graceful, his body seeming more rich and vigorous than the land before him.

As he came closer to the figure, he slowly began to realize that it was a feline. It was too large to be a cheetah, but certainly smaller than a lion, and thus he concluded that it was a leopard, and from the scent floating in the air, it was a she, and Ezeoha couldn't pass up an opportunity to have a friendly chat with a female feline. He wouldn't immediately flirt, but if he begun to forget that he had a family, he could easily slip back into his old habits and start flirting with her.

He stopped about five yards away, making sure to keep his distance so he did not appear as an imposing figure. "Greetings, I am Ezeoha," he said, his voice rich and warm. His red eyes were cast downwards briefly, and he gazed at the figures in the ground in puzzlement. "Do you mind if I ask what you have drawn into the ground?" Ezeoha was perfectly polite, seemingly harmless... exactly what he wasn't was.

As he drew near she noticed it wasn't a spirit at all. It was a relief and yet a disapointment. Ah well, better to have missed a possible evil spirit. She rolled her shoulders in a silky shrug, her gold eyes half open and her whiskers lifting slightly in a smile. "They are runes, of course," He murmured, her voice a warm purr of a tone only a matured woman could produce. Her tail swished gently to the side, but her eyes never wavered from his form, "I am called Nuhusi."

A skeptical eyebrow was raised, but he peered down at the runes in what seemed to be acute interest. Truly, he saw nothing special about the scribbles in the dirt, but Nuhusi seemed too wise to overexaggerate whatever importance the runes had. There had to be something special about them that he could not see, and this was only polite hope, for it would simply be too rude to call the runes 'stupid' in front of the leopard whom had drawn them. "Would you mind telling me what they mean? I am not familiarated with runes."

He flashed her his normal grin, though to consider it normal would be idiotic. It was engulfed in warmth, invitation, and had a little quirk that almost made it flirtatious. The smile was one he had used many times before, and as many things, it had become habit and he didn't realize it could be interpreted as anything but a greeting. "It is a pleasure to meet a fine lady such as yourself, Nuhusi." Now, that was just being polite, but politness could always be turned into flirtatiousness. Fortunately, he at least hadn't fallen into the habit of verbally flirting non-stop.

Nuhusi was rather amused. Another non-believer, it seemed. Well, he certainly was lucky he had that handsome coat of his and not something in the colorless shade of white. Gold was an earth tone, and while not humble, it wasn't so much to attract the attention of bad nor good spirits. The red, however, was another matter. It was a bold color, one that who bring blessings or curses. He was daring to wear it so openly indeed.

"Well," She purred, settling back comfortably on her haunches, "this one is a ward against evil spirits and this one is a greeting to good ones." She gestured lazily with a paw, still keeping her brilliant eyes fixed upon him with a knowing grin. "From a distance I admit I mistook you for one."

His rich laughter filled the air, amusement flickering in those red eyes. Nuhusi believed that the red jewelry he wore was a daring statement, but to Ezeoha it was more of a fashion statement then anything else. His red eyes stood alone against the world, and the golden color of his pelt sometimes dulled the color of his eyes. He had chosen to wore the jewelry to be a little more flashy, so that his eyes looked even brighter than they were.

"An easy mistake with me carting around such flashy items." He told Nuhusi after his laughter had died, though his eyes still reflected his amusement. "Oh, but now you've got me dying to know. Did you mistake me for a bad spirit, or a good spirit?" He leane forward a little, eyes flickering his intense interest in the stomach. There could be little doubt that if Nuhusi had believed him to be a bad spirit he'd laspe into his flirtatious manner and make some witty comment.

Nuhusi could not give him the answer he wanted to hear, for spirits were no laughing matter at all. They were probably the one thing in life that Nuhusi did take seriously. But even so, she didn't miss a beat. "That depends...your defintion of good and bad might be...mm...very different from mine," She purred in a smooth, low tone. It was not the answer he sought, but it could be interpreted...mm...however he liked.

It was apparent that Ezeoha had taken some hidden meaning out of the words that were purred out of Nuhusi's mouth. Perhaps it was merely the fact that the words were purred, and that some seemed to be slightly articulated differently than the others. Whatever the case, an eyebrow perked up even higher, and he stared at her, carefully studying and trying to make sure that he hadn't misinterpreted. Honestly, the poor lion had no idea what to do at this point. Nuhusi had almost darn well sounded flirtatious... and that hint of flirtatiousness was drawing heavily on Ezeoha's own resevoirs.

In the end, he decided to go along with his assumptions, because coming up with some 'normal' reply seemed almost too much work. Slyly, his tail curled around his legs, and a lazy, partially seductive smile was pulled onto his maw. "Ah, perhaps I may have some assumptions that I will go on to believe that your definition of good and bad can be similar to my own." His voice came out in a low, husky purr, and he was quickly forgetting himself, falling back into what his mind and body had been trained to do all his life.

Mm...he wasn't a spirit, but this was sure turning out to be...interesting. Nuhusi smiled silkily, her eyes becoming near-closed in the very friendly glance she cast him. "Really...?" She thrummed in amusement, "If that's so...then you already know my answer." She turned a little as she sat, relaxing her position a little so her slim form could be more easily seen. This lion was a flirt, that was obvious. And she certainly liked to play that game.

Nuhusi was breaking him down, pulling away his defenses like they were nothing more than pebbles in the face of bricks. The muscles underneath his rich pelt tensed as he tried to resist the urge to throw away everything he had been working towards. The internal struggle did not last long though, for when Nuhusi relaxed and shifted postioins, exposing to him her slim body, proper reasoning was lost.

He relaxed, tilting his head to the side so that light brown bangs framed his eyes, the piercings in his ear being further exposed to the sunlight, glistening in red beauty. "Ah, but you are letting me hang by a thin vine. I have to wonder if you are more lenient than I in some areas where others would instantly place as 'bad'."
PostPosted: Tue Nov 28, 2006 4:25 pm

"Lenient?" Nuhusi mused with an elegent curl of her tail, "I suppose you could call it that. I've never been one to like...ah...overly restricting regulations..." She never took her eyes from his, no matter what precise movements she was performinsg. "Life is to be enjoyed, is it not?" She purred, her neary invisible whiskers lifting as she continued to grin smoothly.

The pair of them were all but bluntly talking about the topic. They seemed to dance around the meaning, every once inawhile dipping a tail into it, challenging it to a duel. So far, they remained on top, elegant words replacing those that would more easily be explained in a blunt manner. Ezeoha was one who liked a nice elegant use of words. Some creatures poor vocabularies horrified him, and he was thankful that Nuhusi had nice, wider range.

"I would have to agree, though my family would rather chain me up and have me remain monogamous." He nodded his head lightly, eyes stayed fixed on hers, as hers was fixed on his. A soft purr was barely heard above the soft rustling of grass underneath the wind. He was pleased; pleased to find a like soul. "Yes, life doesn't last long enough for one to restrict one's self for the sake of society. It needs to be enjoyed, taken advantage of."

"That is quite a shame," Nuhusi murmured, wondering what kind of family he meant. If he worried about them hounding him she feared he was going to end their game all too soon. But that was life, wasn't it? Such a pitty. "I have no family to speak of...so I suppose you could say I don't have that problem," She told him with a gentle, but eye-catching roll of her shoulders in a shrug. If there would be an end to this she'd let him choose. She was going to enjoy herself as long as she could. It was very rare to find someone as relaxed towards life as she.

Ezeoha was not going to let this end, not after finding what he could probably describe as a 'kindred soul'. He was not worried about his family, for he rarely spent enough time around them to let them restrict his way of living. If he wanted to spread himself around, he was going to, and no one would stop him. This was what could be called some fierce determination. Ezeoha simply couldn't imagine truly living the life he had tried to. Nuhusi had shattered his illusions, but not in such a violent way. She was easing the pain of losing his hopes by flirting with him mildly.

"Then you are fortunate, but I've never let my family get in the way before, and I won't let it get in the way now. Families are nice, I know that quite well, but my family seems to have some trouble uniting themselves." His mouth opened wide in a yawn, and he leaned forward to stretch out, claws digging into the earth, muscles flexing underneath a silky layer of fur, showing off the full extent of his well-designed body. If Nuhusi could show off, so could he. Once done with his little display, he flopped lazily to the ground, still keeping himself a little ways away from her. If she wanted him to come over, she would tell him, and he would not make a move before that.
