Oy, anyone else ever had surgery? For any reason, it doesn't have to be something serious.
I had surgery on my wrist at the end of September... Fell on it last summer, sprained it and stretched the ligiment... they also realized that I tore the ligiment away from the bone, as well. XD
Any takers? <3

I had surgery on my wrist when I was like... 8. It was a compound fracture; both of the bones in my right forearm broke through the skin. It was gross. To this day, I avoid all and any means of Chin-up bars (I fell off and landed on my wrist (I was copying my older brother)).
And then I was swinging on some parallel bars in the waiting line at a Taco Bell (like my older brother was doing) when I was Seven. It was lunchtime and the day before my family was going on vacation to see my grandparents in South Africa. Anyways, I was swinging on those when my hand slipped and I fell flat on my face, breaking my two front teeth completely. Mum rushed me to the dentist where he had to operate and pull out what remained of my real teeth and make plaster molds of the root. I now have porcelain front teeth and I have to go get new ones sometime because these are starting to chip for some unexplainable reason.
Ooh! And then I went under knife when I was thirteen over Christmas break to get my tonsils removed. That was nasty.
Another mouth one-- I had my wisdom teeth pulled... Ow.. the thought of it makes my mouth hurt...
enough about me. What about everyone else? Or am I alone in the hurting myself business.

Lets see, when I was 4 I had surgery on my ears to have them pinned back because they stuck out really bad, then the summer between grade 8 and 9 i got meningitis
meningitis - a disease that may be either a mild illness caused by a virus (as the coxsackievirus) or a more severe usually life-threatening illness caused by a bacterium (especially the meningococcus or the serotype designated B of Hemophilus influenzae), that may be associated with fever, headache, vomiting, malaise, and stiff neck, and that if untreated in bacterial forms may progress to confusion, stupor, convulsions, coma, and death. Infectious disease characterized by inflammation of the meninges (the tissues that surround the brain or spinal cord) usually caused by a bacterial infection; symptoms include headache and stiff neck and fever and nausea
I had the non deadly one but they kept me all drugged up on morphine for the better part of a month because of the headache I had. Think of the worst headache you have ever had then x10. It was like a non stop migrain for a month.
When I was 15(grade 10) I was on the school wresting team and broke my arm, there was talk of surgery but instead they left it and it took like 6 months to heal.
When i was younger i was hospitalized numerous time for asthma (llike probably at least 20 times).
Oh! I have a problem with the tendons in my right wrist because it was dislocated playing airplane(that game when an adult holds on to your hands and spins you around in the air?). We were on the way to the hospital when i put mywrist back in myself, I was like 5.
Hmm that's all I can think of right now.

I can top you all, not that i'm trying to. sweatdrop Resantly this January I had a surgery on my back for a difformity called Kyphosis or hunch back. Having this i was unable to be active because my spine was pushing on my lungs and other organs. Last year i was suppose to have it july but the doctor had to reschule it. I was scared and unfimilar with wiht what i was walking into. crying I ened up getting an infection from the hosptal and still recoving from it but at lest i'm not dying from it anymore. If there is anyone here in the guild who has to go into major surgery in the near future, my advice to you is to look up your opptions and know what your going through. I don't regret having my surgery because it's changed me a lot, i see things different and i push my self to do better.
Kyphosis - Abnormal rearward curvature of the spine, resulting in protuberance of the upper back; hunchback.

I had to get 4 staples in the back of my head when I was about 12... because I was on my scooter going over a puddle and then I slipped and fell backwards... and my head hit the road... it hurt, but I walked home and then I noticed I was bleeding when I got there, so my mom took me to the hospital and I got staples. neutral
The End.
