Recent updates in this post will be highlighted in red.
Welcome to the Seraphic Gate. The new and improved version of the Official tri-Ace guild. We strive to provide you with a new home, away from the n00bs, the vs threads, the repeat topics. While at the same time we aren't very harsh. To take off your shoes, equip your armor and shields and have fun.
Rules:
1. Respect your guildmates. 2. Try to keep it under control. 3. You must be somewhat active or get banned. (1 post per bimonthly minimum) 4. Advertisements of this guild is advised to be kept in your signatures instead of posting about them... possibly for the safety of your account. Some people may find this as an invasion of their threads, and some will possibly report you for such an act. If you have an ad of this guild in your signature, those that are interested will contact us. 5. No comments regarding another guildmate's race or gender will be made. The first time is a warning, the next will result in being banned from the guild
The exception to Rule 3 is when the admins in this guild are contacted ahead of time for a long absence.
Just because we're an SE guild does not mean you cannot discuss other stuff. The limits are endless, but what keeps us together is the fact we appreciate the same things. So don't be afraid to expand your horizon. No one will hold it against you.
Leadership
We are an equal leadership. No one holds any power over another and we all work together. The leadership will always be shared between Chaotic Seraphim, Locke Trufeld and I ( Neo X-Death ), Anorhc. Iseria Queen is a shared account.
All announcements will be held on this thread. Please do not post in this thread, unless you are of Crew or Vice status.

We're getting off to a good start. People are starting to work together. We've hit 6k in the guild bank which got us the Crew forum, thanks to Hiroy, and so far the grand opening of the guild looks like a success. All thanks to the great members of the guild. So far we've managed to get over 30 members already!
The Home Page has been updated to show the leaders and crew of the guild. I think it looks pretty neat.. I'm not really sure how I could update it anymore, except for editing the crew list.
We NEED a graphics person. Anorhc would be up to the duty had she had more time on her hands. It would be nice if the graphics person, rather then asked what to make, just made banners and sigs that HE thinks looks appropriate to the guild.

Art Hall added
One of the two additions I thought was needed in the Gate. Those who have art they want to share, contest or just show off can go there.
Contest Chambers added
The other addition to the Seraphic Gate I thought was needed. My minions ( Mooq, Locke and Syn ) shall be the ones taking charge of this addition. Please respect the contests, and remember I have the power to remove you from this existance.

1/2 Anniversary of Seraphic Gate
The Biography of the beginning...
Wow. These 6 months have gone by quickly...
It all started with me getting really damn tired of fearing a ban from some highly stupid reason. So I PM Locke Trufeld about my idea of making a guild, but not wanting to spend the money for it. He replies to me explaining to me that he has a friend with a guild that no longer uses it, which back then was the "Official tri-Ace guild". Only had like 5 posts in it. Very dead. So I go ahead and PM this person, who happened to be our lovely Syn.
Syn feared me on many levels. Thought I was annoying, and was scared of me because I was a meanie head. And didn't trust me with her guild, but eventually she learned to trust me, and just went ahead in giving me the guild. But to make things fair, I just went ahead and had us all three be equal leaders.
Syn - Provided the guild. Locke - Provided Syn Me - Actually put the effort to making the guild.
Each had equal reasoning to why they deserved this, and I thought it'd be better to have 3 leaders, rather then just one leader. But of course, I had my issues at first with appearance. We had no graphics person ( Funny too, since we still don't. ), and I hated the idea of having some generic looking guild. No one wants that. Eventually I just found this Seraphic Gate banner on some picture site and used that as my temp banner. Luckily, our members stayed loyal to the guild and never left.
Seraphic Gate is not a tri-ace guild, it's not a Square Enix guild, nor is it a PS2 guild. It's a family guild. I believe that a real guild is only as strong as it's relationship. If I just limited this guild to just topics about tri-Ace... no one would be interested in posting, because no one cares about FF7. So I didn't want any rules in the guild other then present yourself in a somewhat intelligent way. A successful guild where the members share the same interest, and not restrict it to that.
Along the months, the main concern was inactivity. For some reason, most jackass members seem to join and never post. Why they did this was beyond me, since it's just silly to join a gym, school, church and then never even show up for it. Or people just forgot about it. So I tried to make a rule to keep people in here, but that ended up being futile... So I just stopped caring about this.

What Happened Before the Beginning...
tri-Ace was a big part of me back when I first joined Gaia. It was the first, real forum that I've really bothered with. o.o I wasn't too big on forums before, since my friends and I usually just hang out in AIM chatrooms or something. o_o' I did go to GameFAQs under my uber old name that goes back ... too many years that it's not even worth mentioning, and still visit GameFAQs boards, but.. with there being more boards than there are video game titles, I honestly can't call it an actual community forum. XD
Being the gamer that I was, I naturally went for the Video Games Discussion forum. o_o And I wanted to talk about some great, fresh games. Perhaps too fresh. o.o I immediately made the Official Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time thread.. when it had only been released in Japan. XD There were few people who commented.. mostly on SO2 than SO3, since not many even knew about the game in the US at all. But to those whose interests I've perked, I was the golden source. o_o I had the game, and I was playing it. Not only that, but I understand it because I'm Japanese. XD Where else would you get complete description of a fresh made game that hasn't even been announced when it would be released in the States? Among them were quite a few loyal tri-Ace fans, including Hiroy. o_o He's probably the first loyal tri-Ace fan I've met, who's still with us today. There were others.. but I think they left Gaia or something. o.o Soon after, Syn jumped into our conversation. o_o ... Or much after. I'm not sure. This was like.. over 2 years ago. ._.; ... And then I got Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time Director's Cut. x_o; The first copy had too many glitches, which I'm sure most of you know by now, so.. yeah. Once again, had lots of information to share with everyone, and.. had a fun time doing so. o_o
Days continued, while I played and answered questions about the game, and the rest just anticipating the American release.. ... God, I feel like a d**k thinking about it this way.. D= ... and Syn suggest that we make a guild for all the people that's interested in tri-Ace games, so she did. o_o Unfortunately... there weren't too many people that was willing to join a guild to discuss about the games.. D= Due to lack of people, we didn't even bother trying to spice up the guild. ._.; So... the guild began to collect dust while more discussions were made in... my renewed, Official Star Ocean 3 thread, since Gaia had an archiving issue and.. killed quite a few old threads then. >_>; Eventually, Neo enters the picture.. and yeah. Things go the way he said.
When Neo came to me, showing his dedication to start a new guild for tri-Ace, I thought about Syn's guild. And... figured instead of making a new one that would become a rivaling guild, despite how it was buried in a mount of dust, that I should just hook him up with Syn's for the purposes of saving 20k gold, having.. a millimeter of a head start, and for finally using this guild for something. o_o ... I don't think Syn and I were really up to it, seeing how our first attempt failed even before it began. XD Somehow. But with Neo's dedication, he brought life into this guild.
Eventually, the topic spread from tri-Ace to Square Enix. Then to ... other games. And.. yeah. Just as its games of topic expanded, it brought us together to this family figure of a guild. I think this process of change was important for the guild in making it what it is today. o_o Also, I think the three of us make a great team as well.
Syn - Provided the guild, like Neo said, and helped raise the guild from the bottom up. Neo - Dedication, life, and restrictions for the best, keeping high standards for a high quality guild. I - Held the connections between loyal tri-Ace fans that started this, as well as maintaining order.
I wouldn't be sure whether if any other person could ever fill in any of our positions the way we do now. o_o And I'd also like to thank the rest of you, all the members of this guild.. except the inactive ones.. for being here and help us make this guild the success that it is. And as a long, experienced leader, from said years too far back to talk about, I know for sure when I say that every one of you count.

Avoiding Using Some Time Frame in Order to Prevent a Time Paradox...
Oh, what the heck. I wanna speak too!
Well, I must say that I'm surprised that the guild got this far. I thank Locke and Neo for that. I really do owe those guys. Some years ago, I decided to randomly browse the Video Game discussion, and found Locke's thread. Being a major SO3 fanatic at the time, I decided to jump into Locke and Hiroy's conversation about....female characters swimsuits. Yes, I actually remember. Though it was probably more of a fanart thing.
I talked to the guys, and got to know them a bit. I really came to like them, and hung out at the tri-Ace thread frequently, reviving it when needed etc. Eventually, I suggested making a guild for it. I did and well...it bombed. Both Locke and I didn't really bother with updating it or anything. Honestly, it was a lost cause. It was like this for awhile when Locke told me that he had a friend who wanted to help with the guild. Soooo, I meet this friend of his. He had some ideas for the guild, and wanted to be switched to Captain. I was a bit skeptic about the whole thing, and debated whether or not I could trust him or not. It actually took about a week before I actually gave in (due to his annoying pestering) and changed his permission to Captain. Not like I had anything to lose, even though I still really didn't trust the guy. Buuut, he was Locke's friend, so yeah.
An account was made to share between me, Locke, and Neo. I have to admit, I was surprised at this. I thought Neo was going to be some kinda control freak or something, but I guess he proved me wrong. Honestly, I didn't like Neo very much back then, and I found him intimidating....because he was a 'meanie head'. He did annoy me to a certain extent too. Heck, I even remember IMing Locke more than once because he was being weird or whatever. He grew on me over time though, and now I love him to death.
I enjoy being here. It's like my sanctuary. I know that if I'm having trouble with anything, I can tell you guys like I have before. Like I've said, the members here, all of you, are like my family, and I wouldn't trade you for the world. We've had our ups and downs, but we've gotten through it even though some things haven't gone exactly our way. It's all been for the best.
Locke ~ Inspired me to make the original guild from his official thread. Neo ~ Breathed some life into this place when it was dead. Me ~ Created the original guild. The members ~ Help keep this thing alive.
It wouldn't have gotten this far without you guys. Thanks. Now, let's try for another six months! ^3^!

Roleplay Arena has been changed to Roleplay/Literature.
If you have a story, put it there.
Also, rule 3 is abandoned. I just don't care anymore. If you wanna join to be inactive, then whatever. Rule 4 will still be called Rule 4 to make some Triskaidekaphobia effect, where the no. 3 is now evil and such.

Imperial Soulblade / Neo X-Death / Whatever the hell you want to call him steps down as leader completely and becomes just a regular member leaving Syn and Locke as main leaders.

I've taken down the contest and art forum since they were as dead as a door nail, and changed the Adult forum to extended discussion, which still can have Adult discussions, but mixed with rants/debates/commentary on politics.
I've also re-made myself an admin since none of the other admins seem to be doing a thing for this guild, and I suppose I'll try and get some spark back in here.

I have just recycled our unused sub-forums by creating the Solde Catacombs, and the Realm of Eastern Artifacts. The Catacombs will be used as an archive of all locked threads in there. As for the Realm of Eastern Artifacts, this will be the new place where all Anime/Manga/any other Japanese media discussions will belong. Hopefully some new theads of several good anime will arise within this realm.
Sorry if this sudden change has confused anyone. Also, if you think that there should be any other threads around that needs to be moved to its appropriate sub-forum, let me know and I will deal with them accordingly.
