"Never again!" The young man moaned, swiping at his short, blue hair and taking off his leather jacket to flap it viciously, coughing at the dust and dirt that immediately attacked his eyes. Man, and to think he liked mountains better than deserts! Oh, sure, they didn't have all that awful sand lying around, but you couldn't exactly roll down deserts and smash into rocks, now could you? Massaging at a sore rib, Ven glanced up at the zoid towering over him, reaching over to pat one of its feet. "At least you just get to sit and watch, huh?"

Crystal BreakerImperial Force - Geno Type Improved Geno Saurer Length: 23.0m Weight: 137.5t Speed: 345km/h Statistics HP: 450 EP: 65 AM: 80 DF: 80 Weapons: Particile Cannons -AT: 110 -EP: 13 Grappling Hook Claws -AT: 100 -EP: 10 The sparkling fixed Crystal Breaker glided gracefully through the landscape, an almost leisurely pace for 137.5 ton zoid. The pilot inside, Eli, didn't bother dressing in her Crystal Comet getup for having no prey today. She was, as you could say... bored. So Eli, went on a little excursion with her dear blue deathmachine. The breaker growled lowly, bringing Eli out of another daydream and to notice a small blip on her radar. Looks like someone's out here... The metallic blue head turned to a hill, only to spot something shiny. "What is that..?"

There was a sound in the distance--something big and mechanical was moving towards them. Ven blinked for a moment, then warily pushed to his feet, curious, but not wanting to get caught off guard. No one needed to see him looking like an idiot after his tumble down the mountain. That was when he saw it. That zoid...Eyes widened with surprise, and Ven was suddenly scrambling to get inside the Rainbow Jerk, forcing the bird to elegantly drop its head so he could leap into the cockpit.
Curiosity, however, overwhelmed his 'Uh-oh, RUN AWAY' instinct. Tentatively establishing a com link, Ven leaned forward some. "Hey! You're that pilot who was fighting with Ryo, aren't you?" He'd remembered how he had shot at her--and how she had politely asked him to leave her battle alone. As long as she hadn't been trying to smash their zoids merely because they sided with the Empire. "Wow..." He continued, forcing the Rainbow Jerk to hop a bit closer. "I've never seen a zoid like that up close before..."

The breaker skidded to the stop just close enough for Eli to get a good look at it. A rainbow jerk. Almost instantenously, she thought of that one guy's rainbow jerk, back at the garage during her first time meet with Ryo. Aww.. Ryo... Yet again, she was sucked into her own daydream. Only to be snapped back to reality by an interrupting com link.
"Y-Yes.. " Was this the one who almost interrupted my battle before..? Most likely, seeing as how he seems to know Ryo... She smiled at his awe of her Crystal Breaker. "Uhh... mind me asking what you're doing out here, and are you okay?" When he first opened the com link, she was first surprised, but now.. she had the time to take in his picture, noting a leaf was protruding from his hair.

Wow, she was awfully shy, huh? Ven felt himself relaxing, pretty sure she wouldn't do anything like attack him without warning. She just seemed too gentle for that. Oblivious to his disheveled appearance, Ven grinned slightly, running one hand through his hair. "Not at all. Was just scouting the area out, since I've got nothing better to do. Took a tumble down the mountain, so that's why I'm a little scratched up." Not one of his most glorious moments.
"Hey, do you mind if we battle?" He asked, knowing how much he had regretted not getting to take on those outlaws from a while back--and while she wasn't an outlaw, she had a powerful zoid that had taken Ryo out. "I mean, I know I probably don't stand much of a chance, but I'd like to see what I could do against a zoid that powerful!" It'd be a good way to kill time, right? And if he won, which would be a miracle in itself, he'd have bragging rights over Ryo, riiight?

Eli giggled lightly at Ven's mishap, nice guy. He seemed like the type willing to defend his friends, or teammates. That would explain why he shot at me in the first place...
"A battle?" His idea peaked her interest, as her face lit up. She hasn't really fought anyone in a normal battle without her hunting the person in the first place.
Ven's next strands of compliments made her blush, not as much as seeing Ryo would, but a blush nonetheless. "I bet you can stand your ground quite well.. a zoid's power is so much, but with the right pilot.. anything can happen." She smirked, she really didn't like getting cocky, so leveling things out always made her beam past her timid nature.
"Anyways.. a battle sounds nice...Let's make it an official sanctioned battle, mode 0992!" With quick hands, the breaker's leg anchors deployed. "I'll give you ten seconds to fly that pretty bird." A devious yet playful smirk shone of her lips, as her personality had clearly edged partyway to that of the Crystal Comet's. Don't kill him.. he's nice and his zoid is with the Empire... The breaker's mouth began to glow as it kept a target onto the Rainbow Jerk. Ready to fire...

So the Jerk's health will now be..

A beam of power shot out of the deathmachine's maw, only to hit the Jerk...

Ven gritted his teeth, the Jerk shaking badly underneath the hit. Holy CRAP. What just happened? Stunned for a moment, the man managed to yank the zoid into the air, furious with himself at having let his defense slip. "Wow," He finally managed to say, stunned at the damage. There was no use messing around with this girl, not when she was piloting such a ferocious zoid. If she really wanted to kill him, she probably could, and Ven was well aware of this. She wouldn't though, right? Piloting that zoid, who knew...
He didn't want to mess around, not with something like this. "All right, get ready!" He muttered to the Jerk, sending it spiraling downward for a landing, wings flared. How would that Geno type like getting slashed open, huh?

The wings...slashed harmlessly by the Breaker's head, and Ven blanched for a moment, wondering if that smack on the head from earlier had messed up his vision, or something...

She grinned happily at the hit, noting the fact that the bird did get the chance to escape into the air. So, this left her with only the particle beam, unless she could somehow get close enough to use her claws. No matter, the beam was more devasting.
She was busy contemplating all this in her head only to notice the immense speed of the Jerk as it came swooping down at her. The blades coming closer as it.. missed. "W-Wha... that was close.." The breaker turned towards the fleeting backtail of the Jerk and pushed forth on the controls to slowly keep up with it. Eli's eyes darted quickly to the temperature reading, then back onto the controls. Preparing once again for that powerful weapon.
The jaws of the blue breaker began to open once again. Eli made sure her boosters were prepared to turn on during the blast, as a substitute for the anchors and in a way.. to keep up with that Jerk. Making one last glance to the temperature reading, all's good... she fired, hoping to catch the Jerk before it had the chance to move.

As the powerful beam slammed into the Rainbow Jerk, it let out a keel of agony, plummeting to the ground to smash into the rocky surface below. Ven growled wordlessly, massaging his sore head with one hand as he gloomily assessed the damage. Yep. Frozen. His self-esteem dropping, Ven sighed, and decided there was no point in brooding on it. Establishing the com link, he smiled half-heartedly, soon grinning full out. "Got me good. Congrats."
With a groan, he popped open the cockpit and stumbled out on shaky legs, sadly staring at his smashed up zoid. "Nice try, buddy." He murmured, giving the beak a pat before sitting on the ground with a sigh. Great. Well. If he was lucky, one of his teammates would come looking for him soon. There was no way he was gonna be able to get down this mountain by himself--he didn't trust walking so far and just leaving the Jerk behind.

At the site of the Jerk crashing into the ground, Eli was brought back to reality and the Crystal Comet back to her subconsciousness. She instantly began to worry if the guy was alright. The Breaker rushed over in a hurry, only to slow down as Eli got a com-link from Ven. "Heh... lucky shots..." she grinned, slowing to a halt near the damaged zoid.
The blue chest of the breaker opened up, revealing Eli to the fresh air of the mountains. She edged out of her cockpit, and slid gracefully down to the ground below. "Uh.. sorry about this.. didn't think ahead of how hard it would be for you.. in that.. crashed state..." she chewed her bottom lip slightly, embarrassed at the trouble she's causing him. "I wonder... how much does your Rainbow Jerk weigh?"

Ven was surprised by the concern she showed, shaking his head with a wry grin. "Nahh, don't worry about it! I knew, I went ahead and challenged you anyway. They'll find me eventually." He hoped. Unless Devi thought it'd be funny to convince Ryo to leave him out all night or something...she might do something like that, after all.
That Breaker truly was an impressive piece of work...hadn't even taken a scratch. Ven rose to his feet, finding it inpolite to address her while sitting on the ground. "The Jerk?" He frowned thoughtfully, glancing over his shoulder to quickly assess it. "Mm...I'd say roughly 45 tons, give or take." A bit heavy for a bird zoid, maybe, but nothing unusual given the circumstances. "Why?"

Eli brushed a navy strand back behind her ear, still feeling that pang of guilt as he reassured his well-being.
"Hmm.. just.. had a whimsy thought of my breaker giving a piggy back to your jerk..." She laugehd to herself of that silly idea. "Well... if you have that much belief in your teammates, then I'm sure they'll come. If I run into them, I'll inform them... of your condition..." Again, she brushed back a strand.
Her breaker growled and she jumped, "Oh yeah.. er.. I have to go, sorry about this.. and well, it was fun. Bye!" The grey-eyed girl gave a wave and scurried back into her cockpit, "By the way, my name's Eli! Tell Ryo I said hi!" And with that, she was gone... disappearing in the vast expanse of this world.

Ven laughed as well, amused with the thought. "It might work. Who knows? But, they know I was in the area. If I don't come back, I'm sure they'll come find me. Thank you for your concern." Blinking, Ven listened thoughtfully to her request and grinned. "All right. Pleasure to meet you Eli, I'm Ven. I'll let Ryo know." Ah-ha, so she and Ryo had apparently gotten friendly with one another after the battle ended. Well, that was good to know.
With that, she was gone. "Hmm"ing loudly to himself, Ven settled by the poor, downed Jerk once more, leaned up against the scuffed, blackened metal. "Well buddy, it's just you and me again. Least we're out of that desert, huh?" Ugh. Repairs were gonna be costly for this...but at least Ven had gotten to experience just how powerful that Breaker was.
