the 2 most popular decks right now are the Alliance Hunter Rush based on Elusive guys + Bloodclaw/Fury and Alliance Warlock Control based on massive card advantage and plenty of removals.
Alliance is looking to have more power right now with Parvink, The Defias Brotherhood, and The Missing Diplomat all being very good card advantage machines.
I have to dissagree with you, there's a recent Horde Warlock deck that NO ONE can beat at my local card store.
Until I throw my new paladin deck at him that is
cool Ferocity is pretty devastating if you can't protect against it. Having no hand will automatically put you at an extreme dissadvantage (you NEVER want to depend on the next card you draw in this game). Damage over Time cards like Corruption and Curse of Agony will slowly suck the life out of you while you try to defend yourself. Hitting the opponent without any reprocussions will keep you on your toes as well.
All of these options are included in a Horde Warlock deck, and will put your opponent at a hard dissadvantage if you can't act against it.
The only way to stop this deck is by building a deck spacifically against it, which I've been trying to do but fail almost every time. Though with my paladin deck, I'm pretty sure I'll beat him this time.
Armor and Instant Abilities to protect against Ferocity.
Draw power cards to keep my hand full.
Ability dissruptions to stop his Damage over Time cards.
Direct Damage abilities to get rid of his grimdrons (annoying little buggers...)
Hopefully I'll stand a chance this time :3
