Hey folks,
I thought like making some kind of 'thread' when showing that I exist. The thing is that I've started a project that I hope to finish, I have a tendency to never finish projects. I do think I'll finish this one as I play Stepmania alot. Yes, the project is to make a fully customized theme for Stepmania for the stylus/game DDR.
I'll be going to use this thread as guideline for my theme. Oh btw, so I don't forget, the theme I'm making will be called Casual Dancer (for now). So, I'm trying to make it for the everyday dancer at home and so on. It's hard to explain, I hope you understand what I mean.
Now to the topic. As I want to have others more than me using this, I would like to have some tips of what to have and not to have in the Theme. For example, I was thinking when you get your results you'll have a background representing your score as in the DDR9:RED (IIDX RED-flavored SM theme by k//eternal). Another example is "Techno or cuteness". I'll have my own made backgrounds and stuffs there. Anyway, I hope you get the point. What have you liked and disliked with different themes, graphic-wise or sound-wise.
Most things will be made by me, as some people have seen I ain't too good at graphics so there will be alot of work to do for me. Yes, I'm going to make the graphics. domokun
Now, give me ideas and/or tips. Discussions allowed. wink

Anyway, you might be better off asking around Bemanistyle. Not really sure of anyone here who's made an SM theme. confused

First of all I'm 99% sure that you'll never complete your theme or get very far in it since a good theme takes a longass time to complete and a lot of patience.
But, if you feel like wasting time, go to Bemanistyle and check out the Theme forum, all the info you'd ever need is there.

Not 'how' to create a theme. wink Original Z First of all I'm 99% sure that you'll never complete your theme or get very far in it since a good theme takes a longass time to complete and a lot of patience. But I'll still work on it for as long as I can. I'll guess I should use my account for other things than downloading DWI's on bemanistyle. mrgreen

Suggestion: Please stay away from the ugly a** straight down song wheel. Its flat, its boring, there is so much more you can do with it.
As for the special results background on the evalutation screen, that's cool and all but you can probably add a few more options like to add an animation for a full combo using conditions.

I'll definitely stay away from the straight down wheel. I saw it in Super Step Brother's and it sucked arse.
About animations for full combo and such on the evaluation screen sounds really good, I'll have to remember that. 3nodding
