Kale trotted over the frosted grass, his breath frothing in a gray mist. Winter was practically upon the land and many soquili were bunking down in their teepee with their families or mates. Kale didn't mind the cold, it was quite refreshing after the numbness set in. He continued on his way toward the forest to see if the small grove he had found a while ago was still unoccupied. He flicked his tail lazily as he trotted along, deep in thought over his recent encounters with other soquili.

Victor had made a break for it across the frosted grass the chill only making him more hyper then he normaly was. Today would be the day he thought as he ran ever faster over the land. His wings seemed strong enough and he was ever eager to fly like his father and mother could. Spreading his wings he ran as fast as he could towards a small hill, but yet again he wasnt watching his feet and he caught a hoof on a rock which sent him rolling. He had been running so fast that he rolled clear over the little hill and pasted by a black stallion before he finaly stopped when he smacked into a tree.
"Owww......... I wanna do that again!!!!!!!"

Kale stopped abruptly as a black form rolled directly in front of him and smacking into a tree. With a startled snort he realized that it was merely a foal, "What are you doing here?" He asked, stepping toward the colt. His eyes flicked over the colt's body, looking for an injuries. Only minor cuts and the colt would probably be feeling the effects of his tumble soon, "Are you okay? That must have hurt." He tossed his white briaded mane and watched the colt's movements. Perhaps he should go look for the colt's mother...? She would know what to do better then he, after all.

Victor wasnt hurt he did this sorta stuff all the time. He wasnt the most grace of creatures alive. After one more moment of laying on the ground as the strange stallion spoke to him and then Victor begain to move. He rolled to a stand and shook off the snow that had collected on him.
"One can ask the same of you. What are you doing here? And Im fine, that was nothing just alittle crash, fights with my sibblings hirt more. My name is Victor, nice to meet you stallion." Victor waggled his tail almost like a happy puppy before flicking his mane in a simular manner that to Kale.

Kale raised a brow at the foal, an incredibly outspoken foal it would seem, talking right back to him like that. He didn't kknow much about foals though so he really couldn't say if this was the norm. "A little crash, eh? Not so little from my point of view." He responded but let it go, the foal obviously wasn't terribly hurt from the tumble and so, Kale had no reason to dwell on it.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Victor," He replied genially, "My name is Kale." He registered the little colt's mimick of his toss of his mane, and was bit amused, "So what brings you to these parts, Victor?" He asked, providing a conversation to stave off the knowledge that the morning was cold and that the cold was sinking into his bones.

Victor was the hyper type of foal and couldnt stay still for longer than a few moments and the chill of the day wasnt helping his manners much either. So he begain to prance in place, while still listening to Kale as he spoke.
"Im a free stallion I go where ever the wind may blow. I almost flew....I think....no I know...of course I know, but to my sadness etc etc. my hoof hit a hidden stone in the snow and that's how I fell. As far as being in these parts, where are these parts?.....I mean I know....but do you? You look kinda lost, do you have a family??"
In truth Victor had no idea where he was, but he was the type that never let on. He much perfered trying to trick others into saying the stuff he wants to know about. In his eyes this made him look smart and wise about things that a normal foal would be confused about.

Kale watched the the little colt speak rapidly and in the back of his mind he wondered, Why was this colt asking and talking so much? he stamped a hoof awkwardly, unsure of how to respond. With a toss of his mane, he threw caution to the wind, "A free stallion, eh? You're a colt, not a stallion yet, Victor." He decided not to comment on on the colts explanation for his crash, it would only cause trouble.
Kale snorted, "A family? I have a brother, and I rarely see him so I guess I have a family, what about you?" He swung his head around, where was his mother? Shouldn't she be watching after him? He chuckled softly, "Of course I know where I am," he replied, amused, "But you probably don't, with that question, lad."

"Maybe I look like a foal, but mentally dear stallion I am a stallion much like yourself." Victor stood as strait as he could to try and look tuff and mature.
"Yes I have a biiiiiig family like everyone should. Even if mine doesnt always get along. I have a brother and a sister. A mother and father of course and recently I find out not only do I have a Grandmother and a Grandfather, but I have a Great Grandmother and a Great Grandfather as well as a Great Uncle and Aunt, and a regular Uncle and Aunt.And that doesnt count the non-blood family" Victor was proud of how big his family was and unknown to him he was about to have two more great aunts and or uncles that were going to be younger then him.
His mother Sgina wasnt the best for this type of job at the moment she thought he was with his non-blood Grandfather Rahu. So she had no worries to his where abouts.
"Aw but you see I like to test adults....well for once though you are right I am indeed lost....Hey you said you dont see your brother much right, well that's not really like having a family is it? Would you like to be in my family I dont have a big brother. Wanna be my big brother, of course you do?" Victor said with a large grin and a fast swishing of his tail.
Victor had now decided that Kale would be his older brother, now rather Kale wanted this or not it didnt matter, Victor's mind was made up.

Kale laughed openly, what a saucy colt! He flicked his tail, and looked down at the striped foal, amused by his antics, "I see, I see," He murmured, chuckling mentally. "You do have a big family, Victor," replied, nodding once.
His ears twitched as the foal acknowledged his lack of knowledge. At least the colt could recognize his lack. And his attitude was very amusing to deal with, though it might not help him if he ever tried to find a counterpart.
He blinked down at the colt, "Big brother?" he repeated lamely, unsure of what Victor had said. It was a tempting offer, he was the physical younger brother, something his older brother never let him forget. But did he know what he was getting into? The colt's mother probably wouldn't like the fact that her son had elected him into that role.
"What about your mother and siblings?" He asked finally, raising a brow, "Shouldn't you ask them if it's okay to elect someone as your big brother?" He wasn't agreeing to it and frankly, he had ni idea how to be a big brother.
