I love threads like this, every guild should have one... and it seems like Santa came today, as I got a smegload of parcels through the post, chock-a-block with cheap but delightful additions to my collection.

First up...

FIVE LIVE EP - george michael and queen with lisa stansfield

01. Somebody To Love [Live At Wembley Stadium, 20th April 1992] - George Michael and Queen
02. Killer/Papa Was A Rollin' Stone [Live At Wembley Arena, 1992] - George Michael
03. These Are The Days Of Our Lives [Live At Wembley Stadium, 20th April 1992] - George Michael and Queen with Lisa Stansfield
04. Calling You [Live At Wembley Arena, 1992]

I've had this on 7" vinyl for years, but never cd single - till now. Cost a measly 50p via ebay - kerboing! whee

RISE OF THE EAGLES - the eighties matchbox b-line disaster

CD SINGLE

01. Rise Of The Eagles
02. We Don't Rock
03. I Could Be An Angle (Demo Version)

7" GOLD VINYL PART 1

A: Rise Of The Eagles
B: Party Pooper

7" GOLD VINYL PART 2

A: Rise Of The Eagles (Hands Of Destruction Remix)
B: Alchemy

Fantastic release - the main song doesn't have the same appeal as their last few singles, but the bonus tracks, and the droolsome gatefold gold vinyl set make it all worthwhile. Set to be a MAJOR collectors item in years to come. whee

No picture of this one - but a MEGA exclusive, hand signed demo cd from DOG FASHION DISCO - the 'Day Of The Dead EP'.

01. Day Of The Dead
02. Rat On A Sinking Ship
03. Gardenia
04. Baby

Honestly - if this is the standard of the DEMOS - we could be looking at the greatest metal album of all time when the next album is completed. Every song is 10/10, A-grade utter bliss. NEED. MORE. DFD... heart

Had to rebuy this just for Disc 3 [already own Discs 1 and 2 in the previous boxed set] - I just hope the 90minute documentary is worth the extra pennies. smile

One of Britian's all time comic greats [who you may have seen recently completely out of place in Around The World In 80 Days with Jackie Chan], performing not just one - but two sell out live shows from different tours - the Live N Lewd tour in 1994 [featuring Paul and Pauline Calf, Duncan Thicket and Ernest Moss], and The Man Who Thinks He's It tour in 1998 [featuring Paul and Pauling Cal, Duncan Thicket, Alan Partridge and Tony Ferrino - as ever all played by Steve]. whee

A homemade compilation I just completed, and one that would be nigh on impossible to release for real without major cooperation between Safari Records (1979-1984), CBS Inc (1985), EG Records Ltd (1987-1991), Cryptic Records (1994), Going For A Song Ltd (1995), and Toyah's own Vertical Species Ltd (2002-present)!
