[[Our last post in the thread]] Anthro!Sparky Illya couldn't see the blush due to Obsydien's dark fur. "I want to. You're lending me a book, so I want to do the same for you. I had never even heard of this book before." He says with a small grin. draechaeli The ebony boy buried his face in his hand, practically mortified, "...Any book, even if I already read it... your favorite book. I would like to read your favorite book."

"My favorite book? Alright. Let me think for a moment on that one." Illya said softly, looking over to the bookcase behind him. "My favorite one would be... This one." He said, pulling out a book titled 'Introduction to Alchemy'. "Will this one do?"

Obsydien took the book hesitantly, silver eyes quickly scanning the front and back cover. The cat curled back into the cushions of his seat and opened the book to the first page of the introduction. In less than a minute he had flipped the first page and realized that he should not be reading. Closing the book slowly the dark boy hide his face in embarrassment, "...No, this is umm... great, thank you," Obsydien managed to squeak out.

Illya smiles, watching Obsydien with the book. "You're quite welcome, Obsydien." He said, taking another bite of food. "And thank you for lending me this book." He said, a hand lightly touching the cover of it.

the dark head tipped to one side obsidian spilling over his shoulder, the cat's curious nature coming out especially now that he was a bit more use to the angel's presence, "So what ancient culture do you like to read about? Or does it not matter?"

Illya smiles again. "It doesn't really matter. I like reading and studying about all of them and how they worked. I then get to thinking about how those cultures could have been wiped out."

The cat nodded, "Well the 24hr Books where I work is having a 'Fall of Rome' sale next week, and currently we have a few books on Homo sapien neanderthalensis on sale but those predate civilization."

Illya tilts his head and blinks, listening to the feline. "I'll have to check that out sometime then. The Fall of Rome is one thing I haven't been able to read about yet." He said with a small smile.

Obsydien nodded almost enthusiastically, "Great stuff, the Romans. And the Fall, gorgeous. The Goth's very tactful, but you know the Romans all blood and sex the whole empire, even the Christian bits."

Illya blinks, then smiles a bit. "Sounds like my kind of history then. Alot of the others are very dry, to the point, and boring, even though you do get some useful information out of them."

"Books... really. Any book and all books. I try to stay away from cheesey romance novels, but will read them when the mood strikes or there is nothing else," replied Obsydien sheepishly.

Illya thinks for a moment before listing off his favorite categories. "Well, I love the history texts, but I'm also a fan of Sci-Fi/Fantasy and cheesey romance novels. I like how the authors take people that seem completely incompatible with eachother and somehow manage to make a working relationship out of them."
