I need some clarification, here. The story went (as far as I know) that Inu's dad snuffed it while he was stuck to the tree, and thats why Sesshy hates him so much. But then in the 3rd movie there is another story, about some guy and Inu's mom, and I am so confused. Help!

What i no is that Inuyasha's dad died in war. sry i havent see the 3rd movie yet so i dont know that story.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but wasn't Inuyasha's father badly injured by Ryuukossei, and then the stuff in Movie 3 happens in which Inuyasha's father dies while battling Takemaru (sp?).

yes..i think it was the wounds that he got after he battled Ryuukotsusei. the show/movie says something about how he died because of inu's mom..... confused im not really clear about all this but i know it was partly because of the wounds he got.... myoga also said that he was wounded when he battled the panther demon tribe which probably lead to his death.....someone correct me it im wrong!!!!

He used the sword off the underworld and used it attack. He died by the burning house that Inu Yasha was born in. They set fires and the house fell on him and the guy.

yea,in the third movie inu's dad dies saving inu and his mom,(he was just born that night)i dont remember the guys name..but he kills inus mom,but his dad uses tensaiga to bring her back,so he tells her to run,and uses the sword of the underworld to protect them,i think sessy doesnt like him b/c he had inuyasha with a human..the movies goes into this whole thing about "do you have anything to protect"...so yea he dies in battle and a fire kills him..or the battle..im not sure which

i think what InuYashaismylife is confused about is that she thinks that inu dad died in the war while inuyasha was stuk to a tree, but i think inu dad died in the 3rd movie thing and the war was to avendge inus dad and seeshomaru hates inu cuz he wasent there to help with the avengeing does that sound right??

Ok so the general consensus is that Riocotsei (holy crap i can not spell) and the panther demon tribe wounded him, and he died the night that Inuyahsa was born defending his mother, right? Did I miss anything?

Okay,Ryuukotsei had badly injured Inuyasha's father.Then he had a talk with Sesshomaru about the swords...Then he went to save Inuyasha and his mother.He did die at that time,not during the war that Sesshomaru was talking about.He was already dead at that time.That was why Sesshomaru was mad because the cats wanted revenge on him and Sesshomaru had to fight the war for him.

I dont know but i think he died saving inuyasha and his mom because when inuyasha was stuck to the tree i dont think that his father was alive...I havent seen the 3rd movie yet but iwill biggrin i might get it for my b day because it is on the exact same day it comes out biggrin
