Kabichi trod through the Pridelands quietly, ears flicking in rhythym with her step as she looked around. Legeti was in a safe spot, hunting rodents, so she was checking the area out. The place seemed just teeming with life, though she didn't know how many lions were there. Her little tail was erect, but she didn't even come above the grass. The curse of being so small! Every so often the cub tired to get a better look, standing on her hind paws like a gopher, but this usually ended with her falling over, so she didn't do it much... Not like she could see very well anyway.
There had to be SOMEONE out there!

Aden skulked through the grass, pausing every so often to swat at a few tufts of it in frsutration. Verdad was out playing with one of her many friends, and he was sick of staying near the den with his mother. He'd show them! He could get friends, too. Or do something big, like hunt something. Or... something else important.
He could do something better than Ver!
So absorbed in his own little ball of self-pity, Aden didn't even notice his surroundings, much less the approaching cub. The tall grass obscured his vision enough that he fairly ran right into her, letting out a soft "oof!" and falling backwards onto his bottom. Glowering as he stood and shook dust out of his coat, he looked at what he'd run into and relaxed. Just a runty little cub.
"Sorry," He muttered gruffly, still not used to apologies. He looked at his paws to avoid eye contact.

Kabichi squeaked, toppling as well. She hadn't seen the cub, and wasn't focusing on scent, so she was quick to apologize.
"I'm sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going!"
She sat quickly, ears swivelling for and aft before blinking. Hey, this was someone new! He seemed pretty shy, but Kabichi wasn't bothered by it at all, as a smile happily plastered itself on her face.
"What's your name? Mine's Kabichi!"
Her tail began to curl, and uncurl as she watched the cub curiously. He looked nice, oh yes indeedy. Not like the meany, angry sort at all! She thought he might even be rather likeable!
This was the world according to Kabichi.
