Could someone please help me with my homework?
Theres some sentences that I've tried to translate into Japanese but I'm not sure if I've done it right...The words within the paranteses (or however it is spelled ^_^) are the ones we're supposed to fill in...
1. My friend will come to my home at 1 o'clock tomorrow.
Translation: Tomodachi wa 1ji (ni) uchi (ni) (kimasu).
2. Ms. Sato studies at the library each morning.
Translation: Sato-san wa maiasa (de) toshokan (o) (benkyooshimasu).
3. Mr. Anderson eats sushi with fork and knife.
Translation: Anderson-san wa fuooku (to) naifu (de) sushi (o) tabemasu.
4. Mr. Tanaka, how do you go to the university?
Translation: Tanaka-san wa nan (de) daigaku (e) ikimasu ka.
5. Did you read the newspaper this morning?
Translation: Kesa (wa) shinbun (o) yomimashita ka.
I hope there's someone out there who can help me!
though corrected, i ll just tell you what you did wrong so you can know why its not right
xd 2. maiasa de- you do not use "de" with time. thats is "ni". even if you did, the ([w]o) would still mean you re studying the library, which could make sense if youre studying its history, but otherwise very odd. you would use "de" because it shows the way the verb is done--in the library.
4. though i didnt correct anyhting, are you sure "NAN" and not "NANI"? because "nanide" means how, "nande" means why.
5. i already told you "ni" marks time, so i guess you know. but "wa" is expiclictly marking this morning, and saying that it read the newspaper.
