How, how had this happened?! LaVey couldn't tell a person really how he'd been the one that said that Valens needed to go outside for a bit of fresh air and breathing and room and it was HIM that ended up having to take the kid out. Wasn't Lamiah the devoted and loving parents? Wasn't she the one that was so head over heels for the little horse? So why was it that HE was the one that had to come outside and watch the kid as he ran around in circles? He had no clue... LaVey reached into his pocket to retreive his pack of smokes, took one out and lit up. He was gonna go through a half a pack trying to watch Valens and remain calm he just knew it...
He lifted his hand to take a drag and looked around, oh for the love of... he'd looked down for two seconds! Getting to his feet he headed forward to try to figure out where his son had wandered off to so quickly. If he didn't find Valens then Lamiah was gonna skin him alive, not a prospect that he found to sound like much fun...
****
Kick, kick, kick, kick... nothing... kickkickkickkickkickkick!! Nothing still...
Valens whinned at the treed and ran couple of circles around it before he started to kick at it once again with one of his strong, hooved feet. The red fruit though that was hanging out of the branches above him just refused to give up the fight and fall down into his waiting hands and belly, truely if he'd ever seen anything so unfair it was this! He wanted the apples! He started to run circles around the tree again, "Apple! Apple! Please!" The magic word taught to him by his mother and yet still the tree refused to share...

Silen sighed and attempted to detach her stubborn child from around her leg. She had wanted him to come out for some fresh air and as usual the little mole had agreed being rather fond of the fresh air and the genral nature around him however there was two conditions at that current time which meant that given the choice he would have preeferd to stay at home and hide under his bed of pillows. A) it was sunny, thr bright light hurt his eyes and made it even harder to see. B) there were (heaven forbid) other people around enjoying the pleasent weather.
Taren clung on even tighter. "noos" he let out a gurgling whine of protest at the prying hands trying to make him let go of his hold. Also clutched in his hand he held his Blue blankie, another comfort token. Well it was needed in such a scarry place, the mole suddenly jumped and burried his face into hs guardian'sleg again as a loud thumbing sound reached his ears, he could feel the vibrations through the ground as well. His mummy was going towards it, he registerd in alarm and no amout of pathetic whines and whimpers and tugging at her leg made her turn.
Silen had a perfectly good reason for heading in this direction, she had spotted Valens and of course hadn't failed to noticed the animal adiitions to his anatomy, a d-corp child, maybe she could get Taren to go play and stop dragging on her leg. "come on Tarry, We'll just go say hello." the only reponse was another squeak and whimper.

LaVey wasn't one to panic really he wasn't but when things involved Lamiah for some reason his feelings took a U-Turn, he had a cool exterior that hid the feelings raging below the surface. Where was he! The kid couldn't be more then two maybe three and he had vanished without a trace! He wondered if he would have ever even found him were it not for the sound of banging that caught his attention, drawing him in that direction. He gave a sound of relief upon seeing the boy rushing around the tree. He then looked up, ahh... that made sense. The tree's branches were full of ripe red apples and the one rushing circles around it wanted them. LaVey shook his head and started forward towards the boy, slower now that he knew where he was, even pausing to drag off his cigarette. That kid was going to make him go grey he was sure of it. LaVey was lost in his thoughts, failing to see the others that were heading in the direction of Valens until they were rather close. This prompted him to hurry forward, just in case. The woman seemed to have a child of her own but one couldn't be to careful. Valens paused as he saw someone out of the corner of his eye, turning around to smile at the two new people and gave them a wave. She was tall, taller then him at least. Maybe the lady would lend her tall to him so that he could get one of those apples? He put on his best smile and his best, big, hopeful eyes and pointed up, "Apple! Please?" He asked of her, hoping it would work. (( LaVey Just to show what he looks like, well his face at least since hes got a rather odd branding ))

Silen smiled at the boy, well certianly he did't sem to have the same problem as her son, timid was the last discription she would use to discribe the brazen way he had made the request, he was cute to and charming. Taren was peering out at the oy now, studdying his owlishly through the thick glasses, he looked quite cute since he was wearing one of his mothers soft cotton t-shirts he still refused to wear most of the clothes Silen had brough for him, too itchy or to rouch on his skin.
"Of course I'll get one for you, If you keep my little boy company while I do." Taren looked up paniced, what?! She was going to leave him with the other boy. In the open with other people around. She wouldn't surly? But she did. She picked him right off the floor to detach him from her leg but it worked. He hugged the blanket more tightly to himself as his guardian hoped over to the tree, even she had to jump onto the lowest branch, to reach the red fruit but then it was easy to knock down the treats to the waiting child below, "tarry do you want one?" She asked. He paused thinking about it then nodded grudgingly, he didn't like apples all that much but somtimes if he was lucky the wild grown ones had worms in them.
She pulled down a few more, Taren easily catching them in his blanket then hoped down, only then did she notice the blonde male aproching them, who so far both the children seemed oblivious to. "is that your dad?" Silen asked pnting the man out to the boy, good she had been wondering where his parent was.

Valens nodded his head rapidly, "Yes!" He said, turning his attention to the other boy, waving to him, "Hellos." He greeted him. He stepped closer to looking over, especially interested in his glasses. Daddy had classes like that! His tail swished back in forth in an excited sort of way, what were the glasses for he wondered, "What they for?" He asked of Taren, pointing to the glasses in question.
He gave a squeal of delight as some of the knocked to the ground, he stooped down to scoop a couple of them up, "Ah! Apple!" He said excitedly, watching more rain down in delight. She was the perfect person to as to get the apples he decided he would have to thank her with... Daddy?
He turned and saw his father coming towards them, lifting a hand up to wave an apple in the air to show off what he had gotten, "Apple!" He told his father, excitedly as if they were the most wonderful treasure in the world. He then recalled that he had been asking questions of the other boy and turned back to him.
LaVey gave a sighing sound, lifting a hand to adjust his glasses, "Thank you." He said in Valens' stead to the women that had knocked down the fruit for his son.

Taren looked over at the boy, his lips parted to answer the question but ten he snapped it shut as the male was distracted by the falling apples. He picked one up and took a bite out of it, chewing slowly althrough he made a face, it wasn't very nice, he started prying it apart looking for bugs and other wriggly treats. His claws made that easy, still he moved stright back to his guardian's side when he spotted the man.
"ups." He demanded holding up his arms, "please" he added as an after thought thinking that the magic words his mother had taught him would make her more inclined to give in. He let out a purr of satisfaction when she did indeed lift him up and hug his rund body to her then sit him on her hip s he could turn and watch the two strangers.
Silen smiled at the man in greeting as she pulled a twig out of her silver white hair with her free hand. "it's quite okay, I just wanted Taren to meet some more of the children from D-corp, he's to shy for his own good." She explained to the blonde.

Valens trotted over to his father's side holding out one of the apples to him, it must taste better then what his father currently had. The thing smelled bad to him so it couldn't taste all that great right? LaVey reached down to take the apple, looking it over, "Ahh... thanks." He said, a little surprised. He'd never really been the sort to share anything so having someone offer him something without wanting anything in return was a little different. Good, maybe he would end up more like his mother then?
"Shyness isn't always a bad thing, I almost with this one had some." Then he would have the smarts to stay away from people he didn't know. Or at least not run headlong into a conversation without being a little cautious first.
Valens set to munching on his apple, gaze on the boy that was now out of reach of him. That wasn't much fun, they couldn't play if the other kid was up there, "Hey! Play?" He called up to the other boy, giving him a smile. He didn't know if the smile would work as well though on other kids as it seemed to workon Mom's though, both his own and this one.

Taren now had some of his atention focused on the apple, only occasionaly glancing at the strangers, feeling relatively safe in his mothers arms. He dug out a bettle from the apple and eat it throwing the rest onto the grass. Silen grimaced at the display but eating the insects seemed to please the child and her house had become surprisinly infest free recently, she knew mles ate that kind of thing so it was most likely just natraul. even if it was a little creepy. At being adressed he peered out at the horse boy. But it was his hooves odly that caught his attention, he looked down at his own feet and wiggled his toes experimetaly then looked back at the hooves, he smiled back shyly. This child was strange, like Nibal, he perked up even more and his nose twitched couriously. He had liked Nibal.
Silen smiled seeing Taren perk up an become more intrested in the otherchild she was able to set him down, althrough he still stayed close to her legs he went without protest, a relief.
Meanwhile the guardians yes drifted to the cigrette. Damn, she really tried not to somoke around kid but they were outside so it would proably be alright. She pulled her own pack free of her pocket and pulled out one of the white sticks. Hmm, tucking the packet back into her pocket she looked over at the male. "Well, too much shyness can be bad thing to, means they never make friends or try new things. Taren could do with a littlle boldness. Got a light?" she finished looking over him hopefully.

Valens gave a happy sound when once more the other boy was back on his level. He stepped a bit closer to him, "Play?" He asked of him again, his tail swishing back and forth rapidly. The horse was hopping back and forth, Zyanya had been good at tag and maybe that meant that this boy would be good at it too? Well once he came out of his shell to play?
LaVey gave a bit of a smile, "Nice to meet someone who isn't gonna get on me about my habit." He said, reaching into his pocket to fish out his lighter, flicking it on and held it out to her. Fellow smokers were always the easiest to hang out with when he needed a cigarette himself.

Taren looked out thoughfully at the other energetic child, he thought he was a bit to bouncy and evrytime he made those sudden moves he shrunk back but then peers at him again. "plays." he repeated with a nod. "hides and seek?" he questioned he liked that game, he was very good at it. The hidding part at least. Mummy had taught him how to play and he was so good somtimes she didn't find him for a long time, once he actaully fell asleep, poor thing was to niave to realise that Silen normaly knew exactly where he was and let him hide out as long as he wanted, because it kept him quite. Also made him fall asleep. She got tired of playing hide and seek before bedtime after all.
Silen leaned forward gratefully lighting up the end of the white stick till it glowed and the thin trail of smoke drifted up dissperted in the wind. She took a drag and hen looked back over at Lavey with a raised eyebrow. "I give myself enough crap about my own habit and I don't listen to me so I'm not about to try it on someone eles." She grinned and shook her head. "don't worry you're safe, " She waved the lit cigrette in an odd sort of greeting wave. "I'm Silen by the way, this is Taren." She motioned to the mol at her leg.

Hide and seek Valens thought to himself before nodding, the rules to that one sounded simple enough. He figured that it meant someone hiding and the other one seeking, he was sure that he could do that, "Yes! Yes, you... hide or seek?" He asked, giving his new friend the option of which side of the game that he wanted to play.
"Thats a sound theory." LaVey said, pocketing his lighter after she was through with it, there was nothing worse then your smoke break being ruined by someone who thought to save you from yourself. He knew smoking was bad, knew it would kill him, blah blah. Nothing he was worried about at the moment. After all he'd had a life and death experiance and came out on top of it, now he almost felt as if nothing could kill him, stupid thinking perhaps but none the less...
"I'm LaVey Sammael, thats Valens Sammael..." He gave a little muttering sound, "Black." Valens had both his father's and his mother's last name since neither would give in on that issue.

"Hide." Taren replied instantly to the question, stepped out towards the other male, still nervous clearly by the odd shuffling motion by which he approched him but now willing to play seeing he wasn't that much of a threat. His nose twitched couriously as he took in the others scent, memorzing him by other means than his eyes sence they had never been very reliable. "you find me, first count .pleasssse." he added the 'manners' to please his mother. He waited for the boy to turn his back before he went off to hide.
"Don't go to far Taren." His guardian warned before turning back to the blonde male. "Two names? So he has a mother and a father?" she smiled pleasently. "that's nice I guess, most of the D-corp kids I've met so far only seem to have a single parent." She spoke absently, thoughtful. She shrugged and took another pull on the cigrette.

Valens nodded, "Count." He agreed. Yes, he had done his letters and numbers with his mother so he was sure that he could do them again right? He lifted his heands to cover his eyes after turning, "Lets see... one... two... four... no... wait. No was... ah! Three! Then a four... five... six... eleven or was it seven? "
He nodded, "Lamiah and myself, shes like the primary parents for him though." Mostly cause he wasn't that good at this parenting thing, he'd taken Valens out once and already lost him.... NOT something he was about to share with her, "Shes having a blast doing all the Mommy things. I think she tricked me into taking him out today. She has been able to get me to do anything by asking me right." He shook his head, ever since they were much younger.

Taren waited, his pointed ears pricking forwar to make sure that the horse boy was indeed counting, and of course not peeking before giving out a mouse like squeak and scampering away from his parent, althrough he was still constantly looking over his shoulder to make sure he wasn't out of sigh, he almost ran right into his hidding place manging to stop just as he felt the leave tickle his face, a large evergreen bush, the leves still thick and heavy on the branches, they had an almost plastic look and feel to them. Still yjat didn't matter because there was a perfect crawl space under the bush. He lowerd himself and then edges his way under it, finding some leaves that had blow under there aswell he pulled them atop himself. his bottle glasses sticking out and his bright pink nose visable.
Silen nodded looking at him with understanding sympathy, she knew that trick. "yea, I'm looking after Taren alone right now. I've got family and kids living with my brother while I got some work done but I don't want to introduce him to them yet, don't want to mentaly scar the poor kid to early." She shook her head and blew out another reem of smoke after taking a deep drag. "bastards blackmailed meinto taking him orginaly though."

"Twelve... thirty... fourty.... fifty..."
"Teen Valens, thirteen, fourteen, and fifteen." LaVey instantly corrected his child. The horse boy looked over at him a moment before he nodded his head and recovered his eyes.
"Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen..."
"The family this is rather different then what we used to be do so I am floudering a bit." He admitted, lifting a hand to scratch at the dark marking on his forehead.
He then blinked a couple times and glanced over at Silen this woman had more kids? He couldn't imagining having a brood of them... well maybe that way he would have a chance? Sort of like a rabbit have a good dozen kids and figure out the parenting thing with at least one of them. That almost drew a smile to his lips until he caught the last thing Silen said.
"Yes, they do have a habit of sending out threating letters don't they? Not the best way to make friends." Though had they just sent a picture of Valens to Lamiah instead of the letter they had it would have made no difference in the end result.
