Niara moved into the ring, brushing a few locks of hair away from her face. She was fighting her sister's mate...this would be quite the interesting duel, especially since she was not experienced at all. She glanced over at her opponant with her emerald eyes, offering a half-smirk to him in luck.

Kenjin swallowed, his mind on his little sister Dawn at the moment. Having been dragged away the last minute looking for his brother Twilight to fight his sister in law. He gave her a nod in wishing her luck as well, even though his ruby rose eyes were full of worry and concern for others on his mind, and not on the battle that was infront of him.

Niara, though she hadn't expected much from the attack, was suddenly blown back a few feet. She landed on her bum and blinked before shaking her head. "Gods, what was that?" she muttered before she stumbled to her feet. There was no doubt in her mind that he was going to beat her...but maybe if she was able to freeze him...her tail lifted its head and opened its mouth, suddenly shooting out a beam of ice at Kenjin. "Sub-zero beam!"

Kenjin shook his head, his tail shivering. He shook it off and focused his mind once more. He then vanished and reappeared behind her. "Forgive me, but I cannot afford to lose this match, my sister Dawn is dying..."
He then touched her again. "Gentle Slash!"

Niara flinched as she was blown back, though not quite as far. However, she felt much weaker, and knew that she was going to lose yet again. The thought of going down to Dassan's Lair...she shuddered at the thought of it. She looked up at Kenjin with an icy glare. "I haven't even gotten to see my grandchildren yet, you know." She stood shakily to her feet again before her tail opened its mouth yet again. "Sub-zero beam!" she shouted, the ice shooting towards Kenjin.

She was blown back yet gain, this time nearly to the edge of the ring. She winced as she climbed back to her feet. Feeling like she was trying to bitterly one-up Kenjin, Niara looked at him. "I suppose you should be there for your sons. I've heard Linath is losing her match. At least I can be down there in the dungeons with her." Her tail opened its mouth once more, collecting ice. "Sub-zero beam!" The blast shot at Kenjin.

As Niara was weak, she could see that the freezing would not last long. She would have to do it again. She nodded to her tail, and it shot another beam of ice towards Kenjin. "Sub-zero beam!"

CRASH! In his rage Kenjin broke out of his ice prison, his red eyes glowing feircely. "GENTLE SLASH!" He roared charging her. But before he could do anything he was frozen again.
