Starry was outside, bathing in the sun. She was laying under one of the trees in town. She'd taken advantage of the shade and was reading a book. Every now and again she'd take a break from reading and watched the hustle and bustle of busy town life. Starry would watch the horse drawn carts come and go. She'd smile at the children playing in the fountain. Starry sighed and returned to her reading. Zef sprawled himself upon his Mistress's long legs. He didn't want to go out of the shade, he'd get too warm. So Zef just lazily slept upon Starry without a care in the world.
Nanaki was taking the most advantage of the shade. He gained warmth abit too quickly on days such as this, and reclined by Starry. Every now and again he'd survey the area, and then rest his head upon the cool shaded ground again. The flame upon the end of his tail seemed brighter, due to the fact that Nanaki was in the shade.

A girl named Kaju, was walking through town. A huge bird was clinging to her head as the bird squaked, afraid to be dropped. "Huff-huff. Taka stop holding onto my head!" She said as she tryed to free her head from the birds grasp.
Taka chriped in upsetment as Kaju got him free and he was now cradled in her arms. He tryed to free himself but with no luck. He frowned and sighed.
Kaju grinned, "Silly bird." She said as she kissed the top of his head as she continued through the center of town. She stopped by a cart that contained fruit. "Ooh." She said and spyed huge, perfect looking peaches. She grabbed a few gold and bought on and munched on it. She stopped by another cart that had meat. She bough a pound for Taka and contiued to walk. She didnt noticed the other Gryphon or Starry, that was slightly out of town.

Starry didn't move her head, but she raised her eyes in time to see a young girl. With, what she could tell; was a newly hatched Gryphon. She snickered to herself. Starry could remember when lil Zef was that little. He was still just a juvenile, but he was still older and bigger than a hatchling. Starry gently rubbed said spotted gryffins' fuzzy belly. She could feel Zef lazily kicking. Zef made a light purring noise, he LOVED having his belly rubbed.
Nanaki lifted his head. He'd smelt another gryffin, it smelt different than the small spotted one. He looked in the direction of the scent and spied the small brown hatchling. Nanaki fluffed his neck feathers.

Kaju grinned as she opened the cheap looking bag like object and showed Taka the meat inside of it. "This will be for you." She said and cloesed the bag with her one free arm. She tucked the bag back into her backpack and ate the rest of her peach.
Taka groaned, he was hungry, he wanted the meat. He lifted his head as he heard the small purring noises comming from Zef. He cocked his head and looked in thier direction. He made a confused chirp. Soon he eyed Nanaki, he liked how Nanaki looked. Nanaki looked tough, but kinda friendly, Taka instantly wanted to go meet him and Zef. He squirmed and got out of Kaju's grasp and ran over to Star, Zef, and Nanaki. He chirped in hello.
Kaju felt Taka get out of ehr grip. "Taka?" She said and followed after him quickly. She saw the other two Gryphons, and a girl holding reading a book. "Hello there!" She said cheerfully as she approched the others. "Sorry about Taka, he is unusually hyper today." She said and grinned, she didnt notice the book Starry was reading.

(( Heh, actually it won't be Starry who'll have Kiwi. Kiwi will be with a male character of mine[ his name is Zero ]. But I may change my mind.... And Kaju, Starry was reading^_^; ))
Starry looked up from her book to see the dark brown hatchling quickly approach her and her gryffins. She was alittle nervous about Nanaki. She hadn't socialized him THAT much to younglings. Starry glanced over to Nanaki and sighed, atleast for right now he wasn't doing anything but looking. Right NOW anyway. Zef was still sleeping, which; was alittle amazing. Starry glanced again back at Nanaki, whom, his ears were starting to swivel backwards. She saw his neck feather ruffle. Starry sighed again and scratched him behind the ear, just to calm him down. Starry heard a voice and looked up and smiled slightly. " Most hatchlings are hyper..."

Kaju looked at her book. "Oh I am sorry, was I interrupting?" She glanced over at the big Gryphon, the Gryphon didnt look very happy.
Taka sniffed Nanaki from a distance cautiously, but backed up when Nanaki started to get tense. Taka stopped next to Kaju's feet and glanced at the others from behind her.
Kaju patted Taka's head. "Hey, I couldnt help but notice, you have two birds too. Gryphons am I correct?" She said and looked back up to look over at Star.

Starry held up her hand, " No no, you're not interrupting. " Starry noticed the girl look at Nanaki. " Don't worry about him. He won't hurt you or your youngling, he's just not very social. " She started scratching Nanaki again. Starry could tell he was starting to calm down....a little bit any way. Starry returned her attention back to the girl. " Yup. These two gryffins are my boys..." Zef was still conked out, despite what was going on.

Kaju grinned. "No, dont worry I was looking at your Gryphon because I was thinking how good looking he is. He looks really tough." She said and sat down, cross legged, infront of Star and her Gryphons. "They are so cute! This is my little boy, Taka." She said and picked up the hatchling and placed him on her lap. (Kaju's lap)
Taka chirped and happily rustled his feathers when he was placed in Kaju's lap. Taka looked at Nanaki and did a small gesture that ment hello. It looked like he pulled his head back in suprise but that was what hello ment for them.

Starry nodded in agreement. " Yeah, he really is tough..." She watched Kaju sit down infront of her. Starry looked at the dark brown hatchling in the girls' lap. " He's adorable. " She offered a smile and pointed to the sprawled spotted juvenile on her lap. " This ones' Zefirino, but I call him Zef for short," Starry then pointed to the flame coloured gryffin; " That one's name is Nanaki. "
Nanaki huffed at the hatchling. It was his preffered form of reply.

Kaju chuckled at Nanaki's greeting toward Taka. "Nanaki huh? He is cool! Zef looks so cute too! Are they bird based? Zef looks like a zebra or something." She guessed as she turned her attention to Zef.
Taka chirped and cocked his head. He got out of Kaju's lap and slowly approached the big Gryphon. He strained his neck foward to get a closer look at him.

Starry shook her head softly. " No, they're not bird based. Zef is just spotted, and Nanaki is...well Nanaki..." She offered a weak smile. Starry didn't really know HOW to describe her flame bearing gryffin.
Nanaki watched the brown youngling, his flame bearing tail twitching every now and then.

Kaju chuckled. "I think this little one looks like a hawk." She said and looked at the little brown youngling. She looked back over at Star. "Oh by the way, my name is Kaju." She said and stuck her hand out infront of her.
Taka cocked his head again and inched closer. Nanaki was so cool, he wanted to be taught things by him. Haillu? He said with a small accent, like he came from somewhere else. It sounded like Greece or Rome, somewhere far away. He looked curiously at the tough Gryphon.
(How about Gryphons talk to each other in Italics? humans cant understand them though. :3)

Starry shook the girls' hand. " Nice to meetcha. I'm Starry..." She looked at the brown hatchling trying to ineract with Nanaki.

Kaju grinned. "Hiya Starry! Do you live 'round here?" She asked curiously as she grinned at Nanaki.
