Pugs are the greatest dogs ever. Seriously. I want one so bad. ;o; Even more now that I've been looking up hilariously cute pug videos on youtube. Why don't I have a house yet? I want a pug! Ben doesn't like them, but I think he secretly wants one just as bad as I do.
DISCUSS. scream

Of course I love my pug. He is a sweetheart, and hardly barks at all. It doesn't sound yippy, it's actually endearing. Kinda muffled sounding. When I come home and he's excited, sometimes he makes a little baying sort of bark that's quiet and almost like he's trying to talk. whee
The only times he barks really, besides his "I missed you" playful noise, are if 1) he hears a dog from inside the house that he can't see, 2) someone knocks on the door, or 3) there is something 4-legged on TV. The door thing is actually useful if someone knocks quietly when I'm in another room, and as soon as the door opens he is all about "play with me!" And it's funny when there is so much as a giraffe on TV or even a monkey, because he will bark at it. He doesn't care about the people! It's weird.

I was wondering when you would finally pipe in on this one.

I used to think pugs were ugly, but then I met like 3 of them 'cause people in my class brought them to school for labs and stuff. And then I realized how awesome they are! I love them so much. ;o;

But like Ve said, they're really not like the typical small dog, so I'm really not sure what that has to do with it. They can play tough, just like big dogs, and they're really not yappy.
