After a long nap, she was finally awake and energetic enough to take a few stretches in the air. After a few hours, she finally settled down with a graceful landing in a nearby clearing, sweating slightly from her exercising. The air was getting really cold now, and all she could do to keep warm was to exercise.
It had been days since she last saw another Soquili, and she found that being by herself wasn't a great feeling. She didn't like this feeling of being lonely; she had had this feeling since she had fully matured as an adult, and frowned. She didn't quite understand why she felt this way, but she knew it had to be something, she just wasn't sure what it was.

Hooves on grass, drumming, drumming. Now a canter, now a gallop, as the earth flew away beneath the stallion's feet, a blur of green, a blur of interminable colours as he thundered through mud or flower patch, running for the sake of running, the joy of knowing his ability to make the world bend to his speed and float away in splashes of colour behind him.
His gold-tipped wings were pressed tightly against his flanks, mane unchecked and soaring about him as he moved, tail like a whip extending behind. Golden hooves splashed at sodden portions of the ground, splashing up latent water and sending it scrambling for a new place to idle until the grass drank it up.
His breath was coming heavy now, the black male having run himself too far for the moment, and slowly, slowly he eased himself to a trot, now a walk. With red eyes strained from the exercise, and hot breath puffing out into a chill wind, Malchai looked for some new amusement, some fresh sport.

She was nibbling a little on some grass when she felt the whoosh! of a sudden breeze. Looking up, she spotted a very handsome looking Wind male, looking around. She wondered why was looking around; the area they were in was only tall, soft, meadow grass, soon to be covered with the frozen water drops called snow. She also noticed he was breathing rather harshly; oh my, did he run himself overexertion?
She mused a bit about whether or not to approach; she was still very new to the Soquili world, even as she had been born to it a long while ago. She had also just recently hit her growth spurt about a month ago, so she was still getting used to being adult with more power in the legs and wings. Finally, she stopped her mental debate and made her way towards him... besides, it wasn't like she couldn't say hello or anything... right?
"Well, hello there," she greeted cheerfully. A smile graced her face as she observed the black male up and down. He had pretty markings all over his body, and gold tipped wings, how pretty. Oops... she better not say that aloud, or the male would probably not like her and go away. She was about to make another friend... and her feeling of loneliness was going away now that someone was here, so she better watch her words! No male would like to be called pretty... She stifled a giggle.

The noise of another alerted him a little from his reverie, eyes drinking in the female, hoof to head, almost inspecting her with that pride inherited from his mother. She seemed to meet with his approval after a few moments, as a sly smile was sent scuttling across his face, ceasing at the eyes, which retained somewhat of their usual idleness.
"Good day," he responded to her greeted, nodding that white-marked head, lending to the pooling of his dark mane on the wet ground. His own thought process was rather as it ever was, concerned largely with himself, and a sense of mischief also passed down from that discerner of discord, his mother Eris. He had taken after her in almost every way but looks, those Cassandra had inherited. He, instead, had taken her eye's mocking laughter, her love of disruption, and pride of self. Though not her equal in trouble, he was very much her son.

Wow, he definitely knew how to greet a mare. She smiled at him, not noticing that he was observing her, and also not quite realizing the sly smile that he had on, but then again, she had a very late growth spurt, so she also retained a small bit of her naivetee from childhood. "I'm Mocha," she introduced herself.
"And you are?" she asked, cocking her head. This was the first wind adult male she'd ever met, but not the first wind male, of course. She wondered how the others that she knew were doing for a brief moment, and then returned her attention to the one in front of her. She roved down his body, powerful... black, and very handsome (pretty!) but saying nothing more than a greeting and an introduction.

"Malchai," cam the answer, accompanied by another incline of the head. "A pleasure, Mocha." Ah, manners and charm, the great precursors of a rake or a gentleman. Which Malchai would turn out to be was yet to be seen, but a rake, he toyed himself with thinking, would be infinite fun.
Again his eyes danced over her frame, her name proving itself fitting for her colouration, that coffee-hue dancing in her mane, tail and wings. He had been named not for colouration, but for the deities, as his mother before him, for the chaotic and the fractious.

She hid the odd feeling she got from him observing her up and down; it made her shiver with a weird emotion she did not know. Mentally shrugging it off to think about later, she gave him a quick smile. "Malchai? What an interesting name. I like it," she quipped. Indeed, he had a very interesting name, not that she knew what it's meaning was.
But she did admit that when she said his name, she felt a powerful pull; she just wasn't sure about what. Again, being a mare who tended to adapt to her surroundings and go with the flow, she flicked her tail, wondering just what exactly he was thinking. "You're very polite," she commented lightly. "Does that mean you were raised--excuse me--"properly", with the flair and charm of a grand stallion?" She was most intrigued.

This question gave him the great urge to snigger. He quelled it- just. "I was raised to my mother's specifications. Always a pleasing attention." And always a silent laugh in the eye, apparently. He seemed to draw easy amusement from company, though the reasons were entirely his own, and almost entirely nonsensical at times.
"And what of yourself? Educated in the social arts, or learning as you go?"

She grinned. "Always a pleasing attention, eh? Hmmm..." She pretended to think hard a moment before answering his question. "Learning as I go, really. I've lived a sheltered life. I've never been outside often, only to stretch my wings and legs." Her long tail shone slightly as she shifted, the lights from the sunrays danced across her body.
Wings also shifted in the movement of slight discomfort, easily removed by movement. She cocked her head at Malchai, ears twitching slightly as she watched his eyes. "Amused, are you?" she said with a tone that stated "obviously you are", but saying it just because she was beginning to become entertained herself.

The rhetorical nature of that tone danced at Malchai's mind, lending itself to a burst of laughter that escaped him. A vague nod told enough of his agreement, and that light of laughter shone yet stronger from his gaze.
"And how do you find your education, Miss Mocha? Lessons vexing you yet?"

She grinned at him. "Actually, they're a lot of fun," she said in a mock-serious tone. "After all, I get to meet interesting stallions as I learn," she said, cocking her head to the side cutely. "But I suppose compared to you, I'm still a filly, huh?"
His laughter caused her to flush with happiness as well, even though she wasn't sure if he was laughing at her or with her, though she hoped for the latter rather than the former. "Any particular hobbies you like to do, Malchai?"
