What are your plans everybody?
We're headed down to Albuquerque today for a lot of errands running, will spend the night at Jason's mom's, and join his huge family Thursday noon for a Thanksgiving feast, then drive back up here for Thanksgiving dinner with my parents, sister, and her family. 3nodding Jason's making his famous manicotti for his family's Thanksgiving, and I'm making easy-peasy instant stuffing for my family's because I *really* feel like stuffing!
Also at my family's Thanksgiving, we always play family games like Cranium or cards or Taboo or pictionary or something, and we stay til late. No wonder it's my favorite family holiday!

We are having dinner here.
I get to make a turkey (just a breast) and hubby is smoking a breast and some drumsticks! Yum!!!
Shrimp for appetizers, homemade dressing (stuffing), instant mashed potatoes (we like 'em), sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts, asparagus, can of jellied cranberry sauce, couple jars of gravy and probably some other things I can't think of at the moment.
We have my sister and aunt coming over and hubby's sister, brother, mom and uncle. I like the idea of games... we haven't done anything like that... I wonder if I can talk hubby into running out and picking something up... hmmm.

My Turkey Day is going to be pretty low-key. We're making a turkey and some of the trimmings. But it's only going to be four of us for dinner--my dad and uncle, my mom and me.

We'll be having dinner here: just us, plus my mom and her husband (6 people, including the kids). I'm doing the bulk of the cooking....
Turkey with (instant) stuffing and (jarred) gravy --- Sweet Potato & Apple casserole --- corn on the cob --- (premade) rolls --- canned, jellied cranberry sauce --- apple sauce (jarred, unless I get a chance to make home-made) --- green bean casserole (or something: Mom's doing this) --- pie & icecream and brownies (time permitting) for dessert --- and it's looking like we'll have some mashed sweet potatos (leftover from the casserole) --- and whatever snacky things I can find in the cupboard and in the fridge (nuts, crackers, raw veggies & dip, whatever).
We don't have anything truly "planned out", but we'll probably watch a parade on TV while dinner's cooking, play some games, take a walk or watch the kids play outside a bit after dinner. Quiet. Simple.

Well, we will have the traditional turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, noodles, cranberry relish, dutch apple, apple cranberry and pumpkin pie. Possibly green bean cassarole (sp). If I decide to make it. I think we are having some sort of dinner roll too but I can't remember.
Right now, Jess, Tab and I are just hoping we have a nice day without drama. (long personal story that I don't want to get into here. If Tab feels like talking about it, I will let her explain)

I'm looking forward to it as well! YUMM!
We're having dinner here... as we do every year because our house (and table) is bigger whee Hubby does all the cooking though... he makes a mean turkey xd Mom cooks pies and dressing and the little bits at her house and brings it over here. I do some baking... maybe a little batch of magic cookies or a cake or something... I haven't decided yet. Seriously... when mom cooks... we need both stoves to cook... one for what we do here... and her for what all she does over there. She has this habit of baking about 5 or 6 pies that only 6 (well 4, cause 2 of them are the girls and they don't eat much anyway) people will eat... so we're trying to convince her to only make a couple... just everyone's favorites. We're hoping my father-in-law will be down for dinner but I think this year he's coming on friday and won't actually be here for Thanksgiving. But he always makes it a point to come every Thanksgiving whether or not he's (we've) visited often during the rest of the year or not... it's good though... keeps him and hubby in touch rather than just over the phone. Mom doesn't work now so she doesn't have to "run off" after the meal whee
We don't know exactly what all we're having to eat because every year something is different... the only thing we do exactly the same is the stuffing, turkey, and ham. But hey... it's all good... everybody will have full belllies and a warm heart... so that's all that matters 3nodding

We're going to be having Turkey, Dressing, Gravy, Rolls, Sweet Potatoes (with marshmallows on top.... YUM!), macaroni salad, deviled eggs, and for dessert pumpkin pie and Watergate Salad.
I've invited Devan's friend and his sister down for dinner, and my mom's friend and my friend might possibly come down for a while. Otherwise, it will be only us 3 here.

lmao Kim, I kind of agree with you on that second one there. razz It just gets a little overwhelming with all those people sometimes.
We don't know what we're doing tomorrow. Normally we both work on Thanksgiving, but this year we're off. Either we will end up at one of our family's or we will stay home. It's actually my only day off work this week, so I'd prefer to sleep in and then catch up on housework. redface

we had thanksgiving dinner on Sunday cuz my Aunt and cousins were in town from Georgia. We had Turkey, (instant) stuffing/dressing, corn, mashed taters, gravy, croissants, broccoli cheese pie & sweet taters (which were just baked in some lemon juice and brown sugar *yum*)
But that doesn't mean we aren't having dinner tomorrow! Since we got the fam obligation out of the way, we're making a small dinner for us and whatever friends decide to drop by. Turkey, spiral sliced ham, green bean casserole, white castle turkey stuffing, sweet taters (mashed w/ veggie stock salt and pepper and then topped w/ banana slices and brown sugar sprinkled on top...the only way kevin will eat them), mashed taters, gravy and jalapeno cheese cornbread. My gf is bringing over desserts and my mom is supposed to bring tamales and broccoli cheese pie. Sounds like alot, but it isn't compared to normal years.
The plans are to have dinner ready by halftime of the Lions game (which we will hopefully win...altho I seriously doubt that) and spend the rest of the day with friends drinking some beer, watching the games, maybe playing some cards or darts (we have a board in the basement) Absolutely nothing exciting and no travelling lol
I love thanksgiving!

Sounds like alot, but it isn't compared to normal years. i see that the georgians have had an influence on you jaz....very seldom have i seen anyone say taters...hehe xd as for me...considering that i have the ability to burn water rofl ...we are having a small dinner at my step sisters house....her and my mom are doing the cooking...the main thing i dont like is having a house full of people...its hard when you have anxiety attacks around large groups of people...and with all those people crowded into a small house...my claustrophobia starts and i start shaking and all...but i bear it for a few hours so i can spend time with my family and then back home i will be wink .... but i hope evreyone has a happy and safe thanksgiving tomorrow xd heart
