(Private RP, don't post unless your me or Caj, please. =D Or unless your invited. )

Sooo cold! Just likethe day she got out of that dark evil thing, wich was known by most as basket. It was a bit more windy that it had been then, though. The mare was at the clearing, away from the ravine that her parentscalled home. Kasi wasn't very good in the head, and didn't like staying put, wich led to many unecessary problems when you often sounded more like some sort of sick dog than a soquili.
See, she liked to imitate them, but obviously, couldn't soundlike them, but close enough for a mare. This one didn't talk much, and when she did, despite not having a rough voice or anything, she didn't talk exactly.. correctly.
Nonetheless, Kasi ws enjoying herself in the snow, running around like a lunatic(as she usually did), jumping and kicking at nothing, if only for the pleasure to move her legs. She had a carrot in her mouth, not common this time a year; somekid in the mountains had given it to her, after she'd finished panicking. Humans weren't that bad afterall.
Only she wasn't hungry yet, carrying it around would do for now.She opened her mout mid air, letting out ahalf whinny/half 'bark'. Of course, the carrot fell, and distracted by its fall, she flopped into the snow, forgetting to land gracefully.
With a snort, Kasi got up and retrieved her carrot, looking around with amusement. Boy, she'd made alot of holes.

...Sometimes it came to you right away, and sometimes you were thrown into a total state of confusion. In the recent past, it had been neither, as Safi hadn't been in the least bit interested in observations; indeed, he'd done his hardest to avoid being around other Soquilis for a time. Not that it had really worked, mind you...but he'd at least made the attempt.
Prior to that, though, he'd basically taken with a grain of salt any seemingly strange strangers he'd come across; after all, everyone had their little quirks, right? Hell, he'd been more than guilty of being odd himself, so he'd liked to think that he was exceedingly open...
But this was a totally new one.
Blinking a bit in confusion, the icy white and blue stallion stood ankle-deep in the snow atop a small rise, staring rather blankly at the antics of what seemed to be a very...irregular mare. At the very least she was having fun, at the most...having breakdown O.o
Now if he could just figure out which...

There was a grin, then a blink. there was -something- there. The mare lookedtowards whatever blueish thing had caught herattention, ears pricked foreward.
It was a stallion. A umm.. Funny stallion, he had these funny things on him. Pallaton had told her bout these funny things, and birds had them too. This was probably a .. a.. something that was.. just standing there. Standing. There. Yes. Standing there. With funny things. Made sense! Of -course- he was standing there. Thatwas probably natural if you had no brains!.. Did he have brains? Not that dad said they didn't but.. he looked pretty brainless from here. Then again, Kasi wasn't even sure what a brain was.
Maybe he was brainless. The mare trotted towards the winged stallion, carrot in her mouth, a small grin wherever it wasn't. She stopped, however, half way, and blinked. Maybe he wasn't brainless, he might just want her carrot or something! She snorted. Well, he could have it, tho. Kasi lowered her head, getitng the carrot by the end, then lifting it, tossing thecarrot towards the stallion.
Of course, she couldn't throw that far, and it landed pathetically a few gallop-paces away from Safi. She stomped proudly, it had gone further this time. Soon enough she remem bered why she threw it.
"Hai! "

Had Safi been able to know what Kasi was thinking, it's doubtful that he could have been any less confused than he was by the curious tableau she performed in front of him, culumnating in the flinging of the carrot. What was this, some sort of bizarre ritual that he'd stumbled into? Anything was possible, and given the way she was acting...
Maybe he had been on the right track with assuming she was off her rocker. If she'd ever been on one to begin with.
Well, whatever. TUrning his head, Safi studied the carrot for a moment; it LOOKED harmless, but one could never be too sure these days. Why had she just chucked it at him? Was it a greeting, an attempt to drive him off, or what? This was just too odd!
...But odd or no, she had greeted him; he could at least retun the favor. If she turned out crazy, he could always just fly away. "Hello yourself. Um...what are you doing out here?"

She blinked, swishing her tail and looking at the carrot in contempt. "Dinna ya wann carroth? " She asked, looking up at the stalion again, head tilted slightly.
"Im' havi fun! 'cause is fun. " She grinned agin, and then just..sat. Like a dog, yes. Like herdad did sometimes, only she did it more often.
"Who ya I 'm Kasi! "

All the articulation of a foal; well, he wasn't going to rule out crazy yet, but if that was the case..as least she was HAPPY crazy.
Glancing down at the proffered carrot, he decided that there couldn't be any harm in it. "Well, it was very nice of you to give it to me, but I'm not really hungry. Are you sure that you don't want it yourself? And it's nice to meet you Kasi, I'm Safi."
Her head tilt was both unnerving and intriguing; he hoped that didn't mean she was having a seizure. "What are you doing specifically, Kasi?"

(( *hides* Yes, I'm finally replying-- pleasedon'thurtme xD; ))
"Well then why was ya starin'? " Her ears tipped foreward quizzically, rolling her gray eyes for a moment, then smiling, pulling back onto her all fours, trotting around the stallion, though with a respectfull distance, Kasi was aware of ow she freaked soem out, though she didn't look it, and she didn't want to do that any further.
"Speni.. Speci ffily. " She paused when infront of Safi again, a brow quirked. "A told ya. " Her tail flicked, but her attention again fell on the wings. "Ya fly like berd with those? "

"Can't a stallion stare without wanting something?" A loaded question to be sure, but Safi was confident that the mare would only think of the carrot; anyway, that was what he was referring to to begin with. She was an interesting one, this mare.
Disregarding the curiously disjointed early part of the arguement, he smiled and flexed his wings. "Well, I'd say I fly more like a Soq with them, but they do bear a striking similarity to bird wings, don't they? Maybe they fly like us!"

Her hoofs stomped, merely just flexing it, releiving from the weight of her body. "I dunno, but starin' is starin', 'n its not nice. " She shook snow out of her mane and tail, but then when the stallion flexed his wings, her attention was on them again.
"a. Safi fast as berds? Berds very fast. " The other thing in her mind, was how nice a puffy his feathers were, birds where nice and puffy, hen you managed to find one.

Safi couldn't help but grin. Neat circular logic she was employing, and at the same time it seemed that she forgot that she herself was doing just that; staring. But staring didn't bother him like it seemed to her, so he wasn't going to bring that fact up. He did, however, decide to play the cards that he had: his wings.
Spreading them casually, he looked back at them and shrugged at her. "I've never exactly raced a bird, so I don't think that I can say objectively. But I AM faster than them when they aren't racing me, so that's at least half the battle, right?"

"Oh. " She said oh as if she understood it, like anyone would, but actually, she had no idea what he was saying. So instead, she just nodded smartly, flicking her ear.
"Can you fly right now? " She flicked her tail. "Cause I n'ver saw any un fly ' fore. Only birds. "
