Well it has only been days since the release of the PS3 and Wii systems. I have not gotten my hands on a PS3 yet. A friend of mine acquired his Wii when I gave him the heads up that a shipment got to our store. So I touched that but no game play yet. As for the 360 I barely played a little Halo 2. I am not going to consider myself a know it all, in anyway. I just wanted to gauge peoples thoughts. However I would like people to include a description of the their console experience so people know what angle your coming from.
These are roughly in chronological order of release.
Atari-my first system, found in brothers closet, loved it
NES-played at friends place all the time
SNES-same as above
Sega-none
Sega Genesis-my first purchased console, loved Sonic to pieces
Playstation 1-no console exp. but I have games on PS2
N64-owned, loved, gave to nieces
Sega Saturn-played on a resort in their arcade, that is all
Sega Dreamcast- only played SCI
PS2- I own 2, regular and slim style, can you tell where my love is?
Gamecube- played with friends
XBOX- played with friends
XBOX 360-a tad bit of time
PS3-nothing yet
Wii-have not done gameplay yet

You are welcome to add ones I didn't, minus handheld, they are a different breed. I would appreciate if posters started their post like this so we know biased when we see it. 4laugh
So after that I invite you to have at it. Let your feelings rip. But I think that can be accomplished without flaming. We are gamer chicks right? We can step back from this and not let other goade us into petty arguing.

ninja My personal stance- It is too soon. Until we see games that push the hardware, and when the consoles have been patched, and upgraded, we can not really judge. Sometimes it also seems like apples and oranges. There is a reason why certain age groups are attracted to certain systems. Right.

Atari- This was the first system I ever played and Astroids was what game I played and quite honestly even though the graphics are pretty much none existant by todays standards I still can sit and play Astroids for hours and hours on end.

NES- I still like the Atari play the NES. Some of the greatest games again not with the best graphics by todays standards but has some great games and introduced some of the most well known series of our time. Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Super Mario bro's come to mind.

SNES- See above.

Sega- I really dont remember this one I remember the genesis

Sega Genesis- How can you not love a console system that introduced us to Sonic the Hedgehog?

Playstation 1- I bought this system for Final Fantasy 7 when it was out which is a trend for me if theres a Final Fantasy for a gaming console that will get me to buy it. Anyways the PS was the next big step in gameing and some great games were introduced with the playstation I still play my PS to this day.

N64- N64 was a great system but there wernt many popular games for it however Legend of Zelda: Orcania of Time was enough reason for me to buy this system and keep it.

Sega Saturn- I was not impressed with the sega saturn to say the least.

Sega Dreamcast- Same was the Sega Saturn it just wasnt interesting

PS2- I own the second version of the ps2 that was released the one where you can put a hard drive in as well as a network adapter and all that fun stuff. If I remember right I bought the ps2 for Final Fantasy 10. However there are loads of games I love on this system and I still play it all the time more so than any other system.

Gamecube- I own one but honestly I dont think ive played it in a year or so. There arnt many games on gamecube that im fond of. I originally bought it for Resident Evil 4 before it came out on the ps2. There are some other games I like on it but my poor gamecube gets neglected.

XBOX- I bought the Xbox for Knights of the Old Republic, Morrowind, and Ninja Gaiden. At the time I didnt have a PC that would run KoToR or KoTor2. Now it kinda sits I dont play much of it there are some great games on the system but I just usually get them for ps2 if they come out on more than one system.

XBOX 360-
Havnt really bothered playing it much.

PS3- Dont have one yet but soon

Wii- see above this is the system I really want for games like Twilight Princess, Trauma Center, ect...

Atarti Beyond my day but it still was the first console I played. My grandmother had one in her basement before she lost it in a flood and I loved to play Pitfall but I called it "The man that jumps" which in child babble was "menajumps"
NES my older cousins owned one and I played everything from Mario Bros. to Ninja Turtles and Alien 3. Had to turn the volume off when I came to koopa's castle cause it used to scare me. X3
SNES the first console I ever owned. Got it for Christmas when I was 4. Super Mario World and Mario Allstars were key. Zombies Ate My Neighbors is probably one of my most favorite games ever.
Sega I own one now but I didn't when I was younger. I had friends who owned one, however, and I spent hours playing Jurassic Park and Earthworm Jim.
N64 Perfect Dark and Turok. Mmmm
PS2 First console I bought myself. Keeping it since I don't plan on getting a PS3 anytime soon.
Xbox360 Stayed up all night last night playing Gears of War with some friends over Live. I'm dumb. XD

NES-Didn't belong to me but I played it a lot at my grandmother's house. She didn't buy games much so I didn't have many of the main stream games. I played the Zelda game on it in third grade at my neighbor's
Sega Genesis-The first system that belonged to me. I played the sonic games, out of all I hated Sonic 3-D. I also played a lot of the disney and power ranger games for it. Once again, we weren't getting many mainstream games.
Nintendo 64I really started getting into a wider genre of games with this. The first game I got was Diddy Kong Racing. My favorites were Zelda OoT, Donkey Kong 64, Banjo Kazooie, Harvest Moon and at the top, Jetforce Gemini.
GameCube A huge jump to disks for me and my brothers. We payed Eternal Darkness, SSB, PSO, Sonic and I played my first Resident Evil game(4) on it, which led to me playing all the others.
PS2I wasn't really interested in it unitl my brother Showed me the Jak series and Kingdom Hearts. I got into horror titles like Fatal Frame, Silent Hill, among others. We also got into the Final Fantasy too. We were a little behind in gaming at the time.
X-BoxI hated x-box at first. I thought it was bulky and had no good games. But my brother showed me KOTOR and Halo, which I love now.
X-Box 360 Not too big a change. Just better games like DOA, Oblivion, and others that don't come to mind right now. I have yet to get a copy of Gears of War.
WiiThe most recent addition to our living room. The Wii was more than I had expected. I continue to underestimate game systems. I like the interactive feature instead of just sitting and thumbing buttons all day. Right now we only have Wii Sports and Zelda. I want to get Red Steel but I have heard bad reviews.
