The first things that had come from the leopard's mouth upon hearing of the events was that he'd make sure the bad guy's never hurt anyone again. Since then he'd been trying to sneak some information about them from D-Corp. With no luck.
But now... Now he had something to work with. The boy grinned at the sheet of paper he'd just tugged off the wall of a hall. This would work.
"I'll make sure none of them get hurt by them. Because I'll show them good always wins before that." Now he just needed to find out where they lived. Maybe some names... something. He glanced up and down the hall to make sure no one incriminating was around. If D-Corp had this much information on the murderers... they might have more.
Which meant it was time to snoop around. Which floor was it that they might keep files like that on again?

"Wasn't right what they did." Cody snorted, folding his arms tightly over his chest. The sound of his hooves echoed through the hall as he walked beside Keanu. He wasn't unaware that he was poorly armed compared to Keanu. His dragon hadn't hatched and he had little training on how to fight, use magic, or even defend. However, he wasn't going to admit it. He was strong enough in his own mind and his two horns were good as any stick, sword, or gun... well maybe not a gun but close.
"I didn't know th' guy or th' kid he had for a daughter but no one should see their parent die." He snorted around his nosering, "Just ain't right, specially a lady."

Paxton wasn't really sure why he was tagging along with the two. Maybe it was because the lovebird felt that he owed something to Alan and his company. With out them he wouldn't be here after all. Besides, Cody was right, what these guys did to Tailia, well there just wasn't something ethical about it. Why, why go after Alan? Paxton was still struggling with that one.
Then again, perhaps the lovebird was just here because he was worried for his friend. Sometimes Keanu didn't think things through all the way. Thomas was right, Keanu felt with his heart, not his brain.
"If they had any more information, it would probably be on the upper floors." Paxton pointed out, "The very upper floors, at least for the files were not supposed to know about." After all, the elevators for normal kids and parents only went up so far. They had to be protecting something on those upper levels.

Keanu nodded to Cody's words. "Yea, it wasn't right. They can't do things like that to people and get away with it." He'd liked Mr. Rikery. He didn't know Talia, but he didn't want that happening to anyone. No one deserved it. So it had to be prevented now. Before it happened again.
Paxton's suggestion made a lot of sense. They would hide the important stuff up away where the kids couldn't go. which meant it was time for a bit of snooping. "Yea. Let's go to the stairs, I bet the elavator has some sort of code we'd have to type in. The stairs will be easier." He quickly glanced at his two partners in the mission and shoved the flying he'd taken off the wall into his pocket before darting down the hall toward where the staircase was.
Time for operation save D-Corp.
Upon reaching the stairs he quickly yanked the door open and started to head up the steps. "What floor do you think they'd have this stuff on?"

Cody began up the stairs, pinning his ears back, "We dunno, adults are tricky so we should search each floor... I remember one room though." He turned back to the others, recalling the time that Talia had gone missing. It had been quite a big deal for D-corp. He and the weasel girl had been kidnapped. "There was a monster that kidnapped me and Roule an' he took us into a room he said was a secret... it had computers n' all kinda gizmos and do-dads all over th' place."
He puffed up at his 'brilliant idea' "I bet that secret place is where it is."

So up the stairs, it was a good plan. Of coarse, one that was minimal in detail. This could take time, and time was not on their side. Paxton swallowed nervously as he began to climb the long seemingly endless and empty flight of stairs. Stairwells never did make Paxton happy, dark, depressing, gray places that they were. Soon enough they would be found out. These places were swarming with cameras. At least, that's what Naito said..."Come on Marigold."
The boy beckoned softly to the golden dragon whom had been standing quietly besides him. Even the voice of reason here needed a voice of reason.
"I like Cody's idea," the lovebird also chimed in. At first he was simply going to propose walking until the found the first locked door. But then what good would that do? Besides, what if he was being foolish and the files weren't anywhere to be found on the upper levels?

"Yea, that sounds like it makes sense." He added after Paxton. A specific location was better thana vague one, and computers meant something was on them. "Lead the way, Cody. We'll search there first!" Of course that meant following for once. Keanu wasn't good at that. Still he simply patted Ymir on the head and stepped slightly to the side to let Cody through.
First they'd check that lab... then maybe some others on that floor if they didn't find anything. It was just a matter of being thurough, and not giving up.

Cody nodded and began down the hallways, absolutely hating the polished floors. His hooves clopped down the empty halls as he walked through them, looking around slowly. He remembered how to get there, he'd been running away from Kat then the scary man draiped him over a shoulder, "Kay...there was a fire putter outter thing...." He tapped his chin, "Then we turned a corner, went up th' stairs, then down two more hallways... the door didn't have no number on it an' th' window was covered in th' shiney wrappin' stuff fer food."
Tinfoil... the man had worn it and insisted they did too. Something about aliens and all that.

So kidnapped and dragged here? That's how Cody had found where they were going? "Interesting..." mumbled Paxton. Never before had he been inside the walls of D-corp. At least to this extent. Sure, he had taken a class here and there, met with a Tech, done a skill. But those were all simple things, in areas he was aloud to go.
A ruffle of feathers was heard, as the three continued to make there way according to Cody's directions. Finally at length they seemed to come to the place they were looking for. It didn't seem like much, but...one could only hope. Behind his back, Paxton crossed his fingers.

Tinfoil? Why would someone put that on the window? Still, he nodded and continued to follow until they reached the... area? Stange place. He'd never been in this far. Not that he was afraid! No, he was ready for anything that the building could throw at him.
Anything.
And even if he was worried. He had Ymir with him. The dragon was the best partner anyone could ask for.
So after a second more of eyeing the classroom he reached out and quickly yanked at the doorknob. "Locked." He mumbled half heartedly. Then glanced at the door. "Should we try another, or... break it open?" This was for the safety of d-corp afterall. It was a bit more important than a door.
A sword could cut through a lock right? "We need to know who thesepeople are so we can save everyone, so I think it's alright."

"This is th' place." Cody grinned, looking the door over, "Yup, I never forget a place or face. Thas' what I pride m'self on aside from my guns." He flexed an arm, grinning over to Paxton who he had only known a bit, "Best ya learn, I can teach ya how tah be a real man..even if yer all colored funny."
His ears rotated up... locked huh? "Stand back. This is where I come in. Might be younger but hell an' tootin' tarnation if I ain't useful."
He clopped back down the hall accross from the strange door and lined himself up. Quite suddenly he burst into a full-on run, ducking his head down and squaring his shoulders off. He'd seen this on TV. Keanu would know that Cody could get going on these floors...trouble was the crash landing. "YEEEEEHAW!"
His horns slammed right into the door, splintering through but other than that he managed only to accomplish a bit of a headache and getting his horns stuck.

"Hey..--" The lovebird went to protest but thought better of it. Despite his scrawny size, Paxton felt perfectly fine about where he stood as a guy. How old was he? Boy hadn't even hit puberty and yet he had done things that other little boys could only dream about. Sure he lacked strength...but he made up for it other ways, "coloredfunny..-grumblemumblegrumble-"
Irritated the lovebird would have continued on with his rant had it not been for Cody's change in stance. "Wait what are you--Noooo!" Paxton waved his arms, voice becoming rather loud as Cody rammed into the lab door. Wood and splinters flying, Paxton turned himself away, letting the debris pelt against the long black shirt he had decided to wear today. Marigold too turned away, letting out a small whine, "No good, baad..." the dragon protested at the boy’s actions.
Frowning, Paxton glanced over at Marigold. The little thing was right...but that didn't matter now. An--awh, great, just great, Cody was stuck. "Keanu--" Paxton hissed, "Hurry and get him loose. We need to speed this up, someone probably heard that." Worriedly, the lovebird glanced to either side of his shoulder.

The techs had been watching, no doubt, after hte first security breach anyone that entered the building was monitored. And already, a bodyguard tech had been called to go to the floor. However, suddenlly one of them was bursting into the door, trying to knock it over as they assumed, sending off alarms in the servailance room. While the boys had good intention, no one knew that, for all they knew they were trying to get the same information the last terrorists had tried, and eventually blew up... Eck. That sucked still.
But now, the little rescue group would be met with a tall, gruff man, a 5o'clock shadow apparent on his chin, his brown hair was tussled like he never combed in the morning. and he had a scar circling around each finger on his right hand. "Stop!" he hollared, rushing up before they could even start to pry Cody out of the door. "This is restricted area, you need to leave now." He started calmly, they were still kids afterall... No need to break out his gun and start shooting. That and D-corps job was to protec them, not blow them up.

Keanu had only been about to reach out to help his buddy get loose from the door when he heard the man's voice. He quickly glanced over his shoulder to stare at the tech a moment before frowning. They where being stopped? THey only wanted to help though.
"Why won't you let us stop them. You just want to run away and hide, but they might hurt people again! I'm not going to let that happen!" He'd dealt with being told no a lot. Why didn't anyone just understand that he wanted to save everyone. Why wouldn't they let him?
He quickly reached out and tried to tug Cody loose after having his quick say. It wouldn't be earning him any points with the tech, but what where the chances he'd see the guy again anyway?
As for watching his back. Ymir was there to watch it. He trusted Ymir. Besides, this guy worked for D-Corp, it wasn't like he'd hurt them... right?

Cody grunted, trying his best to look back at whomever was talking but failing miserably. Once Keanu started to yank he began pulling back as well, his hooves skittering on the floor below and around him. "URNNNNNNNGGGG!" He snorted again, relazing a bit, "Ey bub, ain't that why y'all made us here kids? We're a'pposta do all yer fightin' an' all that hero stuff. We're th' good guys. Y'all can help me out now."
He went back to yanking at his horns. They were getting more loose but bent as they were, it wasn't at all easy. Of course these guys would let them go- they were on the same team right?
