1. Do NOT, for any reasons, any under circumstances, STEAL ART. Not all of the character designs are ours, but all actual artwork shown were done by artists listed in this thread.
2. Please maintain your civility. Flamming, bashing, threatening, and general idiocy (there is a difference between that and sillyness) will e dealt with accordingly.
3. One character per person, with exceptions to Organization Replicas, NPCs, and occasionaly others, which will be clearly stated should the situation arise.

Report Archives Report; Entry Code: OF_AAAD001 It started out as a simple project proposal. A series of experiments to test the limits of awareness and what exactly it means to be human.
Was it the ability to reason? Our unique conciousness? A soul? A heart? Or was it simply something invented by the philosophers, something that holds no true scientific significance at all, like the word "planet"? If we can unravel the secrets behind human existance, the possibilities are endless. Or, in our worst case scenerio, we can prove it to be no more than a tales that humans have come up with to explain things they do not understand.
And the Nobodies seemed like the perfect ones to test our hypothesis with; They are beings with no hearts, yet they have somehow retained human awareness. We have made clones of them, dubbed "Replicas," to further test our proposals. All technical aspects proceeded perfectly, and the results upheld our initial speculations.
However, it remains inconclusive in regards to our original goal.
More data must be gathered before we can make further judgements.
Lorika Report; Entry Code: OF_AAAF002 In every person, there exists the three inseperable components: Heart, Body, and Soul. If any of these components is missing, the being ceases to exist as completely human. The Body is the physical aspect, the Mind being the conciousness, and the Heart being the venter of all memories and emotions.
The Heart is also the most prominant connection between a human and Darkness. Except for the Seven Princesses of Heart, no heart is completely free of Darkness. When a person gives in to this Darkness, or perhaps when the Heart is forcefully taken away from the body, the Darkness within the Heart forms into a Heartless. If this person had a strong will, then the Body left behind by the Heart will become a Nobody, and begin to act with a mind of its own. They are but empty shells, incapable of feeling emotions. Yet some will remember what it's like to have a heart, and go on pretending that their heart was never lost. Go on pretending that they cans till feel. Some do this to fool others.
A few do this to fool themselves.
Nobodies do not exist, because they do not have the Heart that makes a being human. While Heartless are purely governed by Darkness, Nobodies still possessed the human trait of Reason.
A few of both Heartless and Nobodies will retain their human form, while others become another creature altogether. The Replicas of Organization XIII, a group of powerful Nobodies, have been looking into the question of what exactly gives an imcomplete being the ability to stay human in appearance. Is it simply strong will? Or...something else?
Lorika Report; Entry Code: OF_AABA005 We've been studying our first subject for about two days, and have decided to call her a replica. She seems to exist only on her memories and lacks a soul and heart. We've been keeping a FIRM eye out for her Heartless (and her Nobody) but we haven't seen a trace of either! It's really quite strange. She doesn't seem to really fake emotions too well, which puzzles me. Nobodies seemed to do it right, and, well, she was a Nobody so of course I thought she'd be good at it. But she's really not.
I think they're rather like Nobodies in that they shouldn't exist. But abominations, I guess, are a part of nature and can't be avoided. I mean, Subject One can still reason well, and seems to follow humanoid logical proceses.
Ever since we began work on subjects Two, Three and Four she's been thinking about how much we should tell them. She also wants to come up with a goal that they can work towards, but I'm not sure if Subject One should be permitted to do so.
She seems to lack any kind of apparent power except for the main ability of her old life, which we are using to great effect on Two, Three and Four.
We believe it may soon be possible to create completely new Replicas from no real memories at all, as long as One keeps aiding us as she has.

Human
It begins with a regular, average, every-day Gaian. Or maybe not; maybe s/he is some mysterious stranger of an almost extinct race from another world and holds strange significance to the meaning of the universe...but those ones don't tend to get eaten by Heartless. Really. In most cases, the ones who fall prey to the Darkness are fairly insignificant, innocent people, mere bystanders to the mayhem until a Heartless comes along and takes away their heart. But perhaps, a few would willingly do such a thing...nah, who would?
Generic Nobody
This is how the vast majority of those who lost their heart end up: as some type of plain, generic Nobody, mostly Dusks, though a few may be able enough to gain higher ranks. Only a miniscule number of people have been known to retain their human shapes after becoming a Nobody, and that's counting all the worlds to ever be touched by the Heartless.
If you're lucky, your Heartless might be found and we will be able to retain it for now...we still haven't learned how to rejoin a heart in such a form to the body yet. That is, if you're lucky enough to locate your own Heartless.
Maybe, just maybe, there might be someone strong enough to produce a humanoid Nobody, without aid, located here on Gaia. We seriously doubt it, but there is a chance. A slim chance.

Congratulations; we have managed to change you from a featureless existance into something that resembles what you used to be, before things went in the wrong direction (for you). Humanoid Nobodies that were formed through laboratory methods are not as powerful, but they still have their own abilities. Some may even be able to command an entire element. But for now, you must learn for yourself how to control and use these powers. There is only so much that we can do a step-by-step for you, and this is not one of them. Good luck.

It seems you have done a fair job with your trainings. Well done. If there is a particular element that you are in tune with, it should have become apparent by now. Keep up the good work. A word of warning: accidents, believe it or not, DO happen. Be careful of what you are doing and don't push your limits. If you happen to have gone to far, for whatever reason, there is a chance that you could fade. We have no way yet of fully resurrecting a Nobody that has faded, but the other team, the two human girls, might be able to do something for you. We are not entirely sure what they are up to, but for now we shall maintain the truce least they tred upon the lines.
