Isis drifted through the town. Banished from her home place, and nowhere to turn, her eyes caught the shop called "Stray Cat Strut". Knowing her powers, and no limits, she felt up for some fun. She had noticed small cats going in and out. She raised her paw, and pushed the door open, holding her breath. What or better yet, who could she possibly meet? She hoped it was someone that could be her guinea pig. However, she contorted her face into something pleasant, yet a little disturbing. She walked over the thresh hold, ready for entertainment.

(( I hope this is the one I'm supposed to respond to. xDD ))

Beelzien was, in a word, bored. Yes, his looks ensured that he always had at least one person, usually female, hovering over him and giving him attention, but there wasn't anyone new he could flirt with. The humans had been amusing for a while, but he was as bored with them now as he had become with the cats. Of course, he never let them realize that, putting on his usual face for them. Old attention they might be, but they were better than no attention.

The red anthropomorphic cat sighed from his place sprawled on a couch, and fiddled with one of the straps on his pants. (he thought them unneccssary of course, but the humans usually had something to say if he went without them.) Nothing to do.

He gave a cursory glance towards the door when it opened, out of habit, but paused before looking away again. Now this was someone he hadn't met before.. A grin curled onto his mouth, equal parts sultry and calculating, as Beel straightened on the couch. He might be 'anthro' now, but there was nothing quite like playing with the emotions of another. He might as well keep his hand in.

"Hello there.. who might you be?"

[Yep :3 ]

Isis was slightly taken aback by this tall, red, yet surprisingly handsome cat. A coy smile widened upon her face, as he talked to her. Here was her chance to have some fun.

"Why hello. I'm just a wandering drifter." She was hesistant to tell this cat her name, besides, it was more fun this way to not be known.

"And who are you?" She continued, sizing this creature up. She wasn't sure what she was getting into, but there wasn't a situation that she couldn't get out of.

Beelzien kept his smile, purple eyes flitting over Isis' form, calculating how to interact with her in order to maximize his own entertainment. Her expression... it told him that she was just as skilled at playing with others as he was. Of course, no one could be better than himself, the incubus simply could not comprehend the possibility.

He formed his mouth into a slight pout at her refusal to give a name, but it didn't reach his eyes. As usual, he hardly felt what his face and body told people he felt.

"My name is Beelzien, Princess." Referring to someone as simply 'wanderer' or some such bland name, Beel preferred to give flattering nicknames in leu of a real one. It made the emotionally weaker ones blush prettily (thus ensuring his victory from the start), and annoyed the brutish ones (thus ensuring his entertainment from the start), and appealed to his own sense of beauty to boot. (thus ensuring that nothing ugly and undesirable came near to him from the start)

"To what do we owe the honor of your presence?" He was not sure what this feline would bring with her, but there was nothing that he could not control with a little flexibility.

"Princess?" She snorted at the word. Apparently, this cat was not something to worry herself of. Sizing him up within her cool eyes, she felt less threatened by him than the moment she walked through the door.

"Beelzien, eh? Pleasure to meet you." The words rolled off her tongue, as yet not fully aware of their meaning. She looked about the shop, to see if there were any other "toys" she could play with. Upon seeing none, she settled in her mind that this one would have to do.

"My presence does not require a reason, now does it?" She stared coolly at him, still debating what to do with him.

He arched one eyebrow slightly, only a degree. His smile widened by just as much. This one was one of the brutish ones, was she? The name Princess rubbed her fur the wrong way, and so she thought less of him? He'd seen it before, though he saw it the most in the only daughter who had bothered to make herself memorable to him. Apol... Lyn, the thought.

"You don't care for the name? Why, you didn't give me a different one. What's a male to do without a proper name to call another? I don't like calling females 'you.'"

Then again, wasn't it all over the television these days? Everyone always underestimated the strong when they decided that they looked weak. And everyone knew that the strong always, always prevailed.

"However... it's a pleasure..." He purred. "to meet you, too."

He tilted his head only slightly (which was enough normally, to send at least one human female swooning.) and smiled again. He hadn't missed her questing look for someone else to interact with. So he was below her... This would work for him. He need only... bend his tactics a bit.

"No, I suppose not. Forgive me, Princess."

A smile began in the corner of her mouth as she stared at him. She knew what he was up to, however, she was a step ahead. Instead of letting him get to her, she decided to give him a warm smile. Two could play this game.

"Pardon me. My manners seemed to have left my previous home. My name is Isis."

This cat wasn't like all her other toys. She knew she had to watch her back with this one. No matter, she always got what she wanted, no matter the cost. She didn't like to lose very easily, even if the toy was rather handsome.

With another cool stare and smile, she decided to question him. Perhaps he had some answers she was looking for.

"Are you the only cat around here, prince?" She had tacked that on the end rather sarcastically. She didn't like petty little nicknames, and he appeared to have known so. She flicked her tail slightly, wondering what to do next.

So she had changed her own act in response to his? He had been right from the start, she knew how to play the game better than the other creatures that usually inhabited this building. But it was of no consequence. She would become one of his conquests eventually, like they all did. But if he went too quickly, he would be bored again in no time. What did they say.. eat your food slowly, so as to savor every bite?

The corners of his mouth curled upwards when she gave her name. "Isis... the name of a goddess, mm? Fitting for a Princess." And a rather beautiful one.

He paused briefly when she asked her question, a slightly surprised look making an entrance on his face. After only a moment, he'd composed himself again, suppressing a snort. That would ruin the game. Now, how to go about this...

"I'm not. The boss here lets stray cats stay until they're adopted by humans. Old residents stop by when their owners insist upon visiting, as is in my case." He wasn't ashamed that he was 'owned' by a human. Rather, he liked to simply let her believe that he belonged to her. She did seem rather enthusiastic about making sure he was fed and taken care of with no charge to himself. It was a good life.

His smile grew at the 'princely' nickname, and he gave a mock bow in response, flourishing one hand grandly, though he stayed in his reclined position. "Cats don't stay strays for long here. Humans seem to be overly fond of our kind."

"Humans huh? I don't have time nor patience for them." She retorted at the sound of that word. She wasn't about to be "owned" by anyone, let alone a creature that thought it was better than her. She was becoming more interested in this cat. She didn't realize that there could be other cats out there just as cold as she was. Perhaps she hadn't searched long enough. To her, he was but a mouse, just waiting to be trapped and eaten.

She grinned at him as he bowed to her.

"I'm sure you say that to every cat that walks by. However, I wouldn't call me a princess quite so lightly." There was a tone of malice and warning in her voice, however hard it was for her to conceal it.

He couldn't hold back the chuckle that rumbled in his throat, so Beelzien didn't bother, and simply covered his mouth with one hand halfheartedly, and let his quiet laughter have it's way for a moment.

"Haven't the time or patience? Princess, there is no work to survive when there's a human who thinks it owns you. They're ugly, furless, stupid creatures, but they have their uses. It's to our own advantage to let them believe that they own us, until they live out their usefulness. All they need is a little affection now and again, and they'll take care of you for life."

She truely didn't know what she was missing with humans. He really didn't care if she ended up with an owner here or not, but he thought it would be interesting if she stuck around. He hadn't had this much fun making a conquest in his life. He had no doubt that she would be the latest in his long list of victories, though, and simply bided his time.

He tilted his head in amusement, and simply waved away her warning, even though he heard the dangerous tones in her voice. He hadn't enjoyed himself this much in ages, and he wasn't about to stop now. "I might. But I've only meant it a handful of times." He would let her guess if this was one of those. "A dark princess is more beautiful than a bright one." His words rolled off of his tongue with their usual suave smoothness, with a touch more sincerity than usual. He'd always been fonder of the darker side.

"Please. I do not need someone to take care of me. I can take of myself quite well." She replied. It was true that she had no need for a human, for she had enough powers to keep herself well alive and happy. Humans were just an inconvenience that would just simply prevent her from the fun she could or was having.

She rolled her eyes slightly. Apparently this cat thought he was some type of Casanova, however, like humans, she had no need for love, or any of the other weaker emotions that hindered her. "Sorry, but I'm not interested." She stated bluntly, hoping that he would leave her be. She had resigned to the fact that he wasn't the plaything she was looking for. He was merely a cat looking for a good time, one time. She wanted someone whom she could play with for at least a few days.

Her eyes began darting about the shop, trying to spy someone else to at least talk to. She was growing bored of him, even though she tried not to show it.

Beelzien merely shrugged at her response. If she chose to ignore his advice about humans, that was her loss. Frankly, he didn't see the point in expending energy when he didn't have to, thus the appeal of an 'owner' to him.

And why wouldn't he believe himself some sort of Don Juan? He had been fawned over for his looks since the day he was old enough to walk around. He'd always gotten what he wanted because of it, be it cats or material things. Save for the odd feline that wanted him dead (he thought there might be several males out there with just that desire), everyone he met was willing to do what he wanted them to do, just because of the way he looked. He had simply learned to play on that.

One time? He could play the game for ages.. until he grew bored with his playmate.

"Not interested? In what?" He decided to play innocent this time. He'd never actually asked her anything (he never would- he'd never needed to before.). However, this was getting boring, and a little frustrating, though he didn't show it. She wasn't responding the way she should be, and this was turning into an uphill battle. Pretty she was, but stubborn. He might be forced to resign her to the ranks of the Annoyable that he bothered when he was especially bored.

"In anything you may have up your sleeve." She said with a slight smile. She thought of something interesting. Perhaps if she played along, he wouldn't realize her true purpose of being there.

Changing her tone rather suddenly, she noted a couch, from which he had first arisen.

"Perhaps we could sit and get to know one another." She motion her head towards it. "I feel that I was being too harsh. It happens when I don't interact very often." She put on the best smile that she could, and began walking towards it.

"Princess, I'm not wearing a shirt." Beelzien grinned. If he was going to be frustrated, he might as well play the part of the dimwit and irritate her as well.

Ah, but she wasn't as good a player as he thought. That tonal change.. far too abrupt. Still, if she wanted to try and play him, he could play along for a short while. It wasn't often that he wasn't the only one who played the game.

Beel, having not moved far from the couch at all, simply seated himself again ((even though he never got up, really. >3> )) and assumed his usual reclining position. "...Perhaps." The corners of his mouth curled again in what he thought was an accomodating smile.

She forced a grin upon her face at his remark. She walked over to the couch, and sat on the edge of it. She looked about the shop, seeing if there was anyone around. Assuming not, she settled a little more into her seat.

Not sure what to say to him, she asked the first thing that came to mind. "I hope I'm the first on this couch with you." She wasn't sure whether to smile or be slightly disgusted by the thought. She figured it was a false statement, but she preferred not to think about it.

She knew why she came there, and wasn't about to be distracted by it. She stared at her paws momentarily, mulling over the power they wielded. She wanted to get it over with, yet something was telling her to wait.
