Personality ~ An extremely shy and quiet thing, he’d rather observe events from afar then be in the middle of a conflict (even if that conflict was caused by him). Around companions, he can be extremely sarcastic and stubborn in his ways. Despite that, he will always remain bright and gentle towards anyone who needs him; whether it be friend or foe.

 Ashen's Spirit - The Praying Mantis
So what exactly is a Praying Mantis? A Praying Mantis is the common name for an insect of the order Mantodea and are insects known for their typical "prayer-like" stance. A little interesting tid bit about Praying Mantis is the name "mantis" comes from the Greek word for 'prophet' or 'soothsayer.’ The art of camouflage is something that comes naturally to this insect as they have to blend into their environment to avoid becoming someone’s next meal. Another attribute accustomed to this insect is their extraordinary sense of vision as it plays a huge role in their hunting expeditions and survival from predators. And of course, never underestimate a Praying Mantis for despite their tiny size, they have been described as being ruthless with the sharp spikes on their front forelegs and can devour other insects, tree frogs and even small nesting birds while they are still living.
