AyaneHajinmon blaugh ummm...where did it said it? sweatdrop When not downing bottles of Jack Daniel's, smoking unfiltered cigarettes and pinching Tecmo staff, Tomonobu Itagaki makes video games. He's announced Dead or Alive 5 in a press conference that celebrated the 10th anniversary of the series' conception. Itagaki already has game play concepts in mind, such as no Tag Team and a special http://xbox360.ign.com/objects/866/866449.html

Amazing enough the people on the DOA forums said they wouldn't mind it coming to the PS3, as long as the 360 version came out first and then PS3 one came out as some kind of DOA5 hardcore.

Imagine how many levels, and COSTUMES ^_^ I think then the only fair thing to do would then be to allow the 360 users to get these items though an online shop using in game money. But then... it KINDA kills the purpose of getting a 360, why get it when you can get the PS3 version? which is improved?

I might be on the PS3. Sigma is making it way to the PS3, but Itagaki loves his 360. What could help this game a bunch is a mode where you can make your own fighter. That would make me buy a 360.

Well if I imagine if there is a 360 and PS3 version, the 360 version would sell more due to a much more stable online play, the PS3 version is probably going to make you pay ACTUAL dollars for extra costumes online and stuff, like with Gran Turismo 4 HD. If you ask me Itagaki is probably just going to make a 360 version unless if there is a popular demand for a PS3 version (and by popular demand I mean threads being started saying WE WANT DOA5 ON PS3, not just "I wouldn't mind it being on PS3").
If you ask me Itagaki needs to work more on the number of characters, Tekken 5 Dark Ressurection has a crap load, with a much more detailed gameplay system, almost as good graphics, and a story mode. So I think Team Ninja could put in at least 7 more characters.

So I think Team Ninja could put in at least 7 more characters. I think it's up to the game designers if they want extra content to cost real money or in game. and FYI GT HD extra stuff is now free. And as I said Itagaki got depromoted in Tecmo so he might not have a say what console his games go on, or if they get ported. Also we have to remember Team Ninja and whatever the dev teams name for Tekken is are REALLY different in man size. As Itagaki has said before that the team is so small that they can't work on one game and do extra costumes for DOA4 at the same time. Tekken is OK in my book. But I still prefer DOA to it. Tekken to me since it came out last gen has taken a step forward and then one back. Tekken Tag Team was great with environments and tag teams. They had a lot of people within the battle Area. Tekken 4 took the environments up another level with that mall, city, etc AMAZING! But they lost the tag team. Then Tekken 5 came, they lost the amazing environments that 4 had, and then still no Tag team. But I can't say DOA doesn't do that. DOA2 was GREAT IMO, it showed powerful improvements in everything! DOA3 would have been great if they had more costumes. DOAU was great BUT how you got the costumes SUCKED! Just play Story and Time mode on different levels? BORING! DOA2 had a challenge with it playing a character a certain amount of times, or getting 4:15 in time mode, get this item in survival, etc. Even DOA3 had that kinda. DOA4... UM... YEAH kept the way you unlocked in DOAU but went back to DOA2 number costumes and most of them where just color different. I liked how with the minor stuff DOA3 had that button thing. I mean most of the girls in DOAU had 20 costumes and then they go to 8 in DOA4... Not what I was hoping... I know the guy who is doing Sigma said there going to see how it goes and if it goes great then they'll release more of it on the PS3. Which I think MIGHT work better, I mean no offense to the 360 but 9 GB doesn't really cut it with RPG/Action games. Blue Dragon has been confirmed to have 3 discs! A game like Ninja Gaiden would most likely take that much.

Yes, Ninja Gaiden Sigma is being directed by a different person. There's a slight chance that it might come out for 360, but it's a toss-up.
[angry Black man] If Itagaki takes out Tag mode, I'm gonna put Kasumi in an unprecidented amount of grotesquely-written yuri fanfiction and mail them to his house! scream [/angry Black man]
Hai Tien: I don't think they should do all *that*, but they could vary the characters a bit more. Virtua Fighter 5 has even less characters than DoA4, and it's cool. I think they should put more tweaks in the gameplay... and revert some of the costumes back to their DoA3 incarnations. Personally, that was the one thing i didn't like about DoA4: some of the characters' outfits regressed back to the DoA2 version (Hayabusa, for example). gonk
Still, this gives me even *more* incentive to get a 360. biggrin

In that case Visual Gran Turismo, I wasn't sure which one has the online shop. some guys at Namco made Tekken and the Soul series (Soul Edge, Soul Calibur etc.), you're definately right about Team Ninja being small though, I'm not sure if Itagaki really got "demoted" but maybe he lost some "power" over the licensing of the games Team Ninja makes. The Namco fighting game team has a strong team, they even worked with Capcom to make Namco x Capcom, and they even made the fighting game Ehrgeiz for Squaresoft which featured a Kazuya like character and FF7 characters, but if you ask me I can't really say which one I prefer to play more, DOA4 or Tekken 5 Dark Ressurection, I'm only a little better at DOA4 then T5 biggrin R, but I prefer Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution and Virtua Fighter 4 Final Mix way over Tekken 5 or DOA4. Yeah I was a little pissed too when DOA4 had only like 8 costumes as the highest number of costumes per character, well they did rush the game, remember the old DOA4 glitch that erased your game data?

No you were right before with GT. A couple of months ago it did cost real money to buy extra stuff, but recently they said they would change it. Hiroaki Yotoriyama has been the designer for the entire soul series, but i'm not sure about about Tekken though. THANK YOU for Ehrgeiz! Someone told me about a fighting game with FF7 people and THANK you for the name! Monolith Soft did Namco X Capcom so I guess they could have done it with them. I also like VF4: Evolution *CAN'T WAIT FOR VF5*. Even for a rushed game DOA4 was still good looking for it! Most rushed games you can TELL were rushed DOA4 to me didn't. But it does make sence. And yeah I do remember that glitch.
