Kanti snorted as another frosted flake fluttered near her nose. She remembered the frist time she has seen snow. It was peeking out of her small basket near Lilly's teepee. Alona had curled up beside the basket that morning keeping it warm for her. Shaking her head, the beads rung with noise. It was cold, crisp and she was happy.

Windflame found himself staring at the white, cold snow in light surprise. He had just been thinking that it was getting chillier recently, so the sudden appearance of snow right in front of him, under his hooves, came as a surprise. He hadn't thought it'd be winter so soon... was it that season already? He was sure it was still late fall! His look dulled into his customary calmed state, he blinked when he heard the sounds of clapping beads. Glancing around, he saw a mare; red white and blue, but definitely a mare. He made his way toward her. Perhaps making an ally was in the works.

((Wah! sorry I poofed on ya! One of our guy friends showed up and wanted to take us to Macdonalds, which is rare becuase he never seems to have money ^^' ))
Kanti's ears flattened as she heard a noise, however, with her intuition told her not to imediately swing her head to look.
"Hello" she replied giving her tail a slight flick before looking at him. He, didn't look like a breed of a soquili she had met before. Alicorns, uni's, winged, she had met them all, but he wasn't any of those. This was slightly amusing, happily Kanti greeted with a small smile. A new friend prehaps, someone interesting at the upmost.

Windflame watched this mare carefully through narrowed eyes. She was a happy... enthusiastic... kind of mare. Concluding all of this due to her smile, he greeted her with cold politeness. "Greetings, young mare." He found it strange that so many mares (the first one being Sgina, of course) showed no fear of him, and yet, the one male he knew was. Females were strange... they didn't seem to have the same instinct as much as a male did, apparently... he wouldn't say that aloud, but nodded to the mare. "Who art thou?"

"My name is Kanti, and young would be a little bit more of an compliment than necessary, old to be more like it" Kanti gave a small nod to add to it. Old, she was almost a year old living there, and being called young, was an unecessary compliment that was unneeded, than again most compliments where. The stallion's eyes where sharp keeping bent on watching her, cautionary, possibly, either that or he was amused.

Old? "Thou art teasing this one," he said curtly. The mare hardly looked old! "Ah, 'tis a pleasure to meet thee, Kanti," he acknowledged with a nod. "Thou can callest this one Windflame Bloodrider... Windflame, if thou prefers. Mine name is long." This mare definitely amused him; but only a little. Why did these mares seem so unafraid? Oh! He'd forgotten to ask her... but wait... her name... so no... it wasn't her... He still hadn't found her yet, but that was fine. He'd just have to be patient and keep searching.

"No teasing, I have seen far more days than most of the soquilis around here have. Windflame Bloodride....Windflame for short, well than it is a pleasant to meet you Windflame" Kanti gave a short nod before taking another look at him. Long braids, well at least he had sense in braids, large skined wings, and two horns on head. She still had no idea what breed of soquili he was, but by far his malicious grin slightly amused him. Sure she was slightly was weary of him, but there was no way she was going to show it.

He shook away his amused grin and nodded at Kanti carefully. "Thou lookst confused. What troubles thee?" He wondered if this mare had ever met his kind before; it could explain why she was examining him so thoroughly, from mane and tail to fangs to wings to horns. She had the scent of a common mare, not that her appearance in itself didn't give it away. He supposed she just seem unusual because of her odd declarence about not being quite so young. But he decided he'd just have to agree with her either way.

"Nothing toubles me. Its just, it is just the mere fact that I have never met a soquili the same breed as you before. Your.." she implied looking at him with her deep blue eyes scanning almost detail "...much more malicious looking than the other breeds. Interesting certianly. But not as odd as the soquilis that normally wear those odd clothings..."
Kanti shook her head again, letting the beads clap with sound. "Is there anything, you are searching for?"

Windflame tilted his head regally and nearly let loose a grin. To him, he was nothing short of intimidation, and he only wanted to appear so on first sight. "Mine kin are called the Kalona," he spat out the last word bitterly, "...a word and name of which this one dost not wish to say, but for thy information, this one will say it."
An unusual one indeed; he hated saying the name, the breed, that his kind was; he didn't want anything to do with his race, and yet, he was a part of the bloodlusting blood of the Kalona, something he knew he couldn't change. "Yes. This one searches for a special friend of whom this one hast yet to find."

"Kalonas...." Kanti whispered almost confirming with herself. Alona, had told her she had met one before, but they were rare, almost as rare as seeing her up before noon. So she finally met one, this was certain a treat. But he apparently didn't seem to think so, to hate one's race must be a sort of disappointment in ones life.
"You are looking for a special friend. Seems as if everyone is looking for someone these days.." the blue eyes danced, in a way if amused. She had met other soquilis lately, each one looking for someone else.

He watched the--older--mare for a bit, careful to not say much more than what he'd already spoken of. He briefly wondered what she was thinking about, and then moved on from the thought. His goal was to merely see if she was the one he was looking for...
She reminded him of the one he was searching for, but he now knew she wasn't the one. He'd tried, though. "Yes, this one supposes it seems that way... art thou looking for someone special?" he asked, slightly intrigued to know he wasn't the only one looking for someone extraordinary.

Kanti gave a small waffle before letting her blue eyes resting looking at the snow.
"Yes..... in a way I am..... who that soquili or creature is I'm not sure..... but I hope to find them....." reassuring with a nod. She had been restless in search, restless for almost over a year now, but she had yet to meet them... "Odd it really is...to look for someone for this long and not know who they are... but yet you still go on and looking..."
