Most people I know that read Sword and Sorcery Fantasy (and/or played D&D) has heard of Drizzt Do'Urden, the Drow Ranger, in some way shape or form
Even him aside, I'm loveing the world of Forgotten Realms more at more
diffrent authers always focus on their difrent charicters, but the world still stays as it is and I lonve hearing more and more of it (Fucusing on International Studies in College, I'm a bit of a culture fanatic, real or fake >.> )
After reading some of the books, I acually went out and got the D&D supplement books just to use as a makeshift atlas xd

I'm just been reading the Drizzt books so far, but I must say, dispite how so many people seem obsesed with his character, he disopoints me alittle
My faverate charicater would have to be the 'main bad guy' and Drizzt archenimy, Artemis Entreri

I'm all over anything Forgotten Realms related.
I sort of like Drizzt, but I'm not totally obsessed. I prefer the typical Drow. Yesss... I rather like Entreri as well.

I like the Drizzt books, though my favorite Forgotten Realms books was the original Pools of Radiance series.

I like the Drizz't books written earlier in Salvatore's career better. He seems to have gotten a bit tired of the character now. The Jarlaxle books that I have read have more vigor & vim to them.

Salvatore's writing style--sometimes I find it charming, sometimes it annoys me. He's got the habit of telling his readers what to think about the characters; his books are full of sentences like "The good drow waited as his evil adversary, the assaissan approached." Y'know--I like to think I can figure out for myself which one I should be rooting for.

And I wish that he had not named Drizzt's swords "Twinkle" and "IcingDeath." How on earth am I to take blades like that seriously? One sounds like a cute little sword Tinkerbell might carry and the other sounds like the results of eating too much sugar....
