 If I visit another town, or if someone visit's mine, do the purchases count towards the buy/sell total needed for an upgrade in the town? Or does only the purchases made by the resident in his/her own town count.
Also, if you buy things from Nook in another town, does it count towards your membership points, or not?

Actually untrue, one of the users went to my town, the next day Nook closed down shop. I had just started it, yet to buy anything from him

How about ordering things from the catalogue? Do they count towards the point system and/or upgrading Nook's shop?
