I always recommend LaVyrle Spencer if you want true romance books. She's in a league of her own with regards to writing and I am sad she no longer writes.

Judith McNaught is really good. my favorite of hers is Whitney my Love. then there's Johann Lindsay, Julie Garwood, and Sala. i'm kinda obsessed with historical romance so ... yeah...

Recently I've been reading a lot of paranormal type romances (mainly about vampires and such), so I was wondering if ya'll had any recommendations for this genre. I really love Sherrilyn Kenyon's books and have been reading those for the time being... any other great authors?

Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire series is one of my favorites.
I also love Laurell K. Hamilton though technically she's in the horror/erotica category but it does deal with vampires and relationships. The earlier books in the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series are more on the plot and less on the sex but all are worth reading.
Maggie Shayne has written some wonderful vampire books. I like hers because it just seems so real.
Christine Feehan is also popular as a vampire/romance writer. I find her books repetitious but ...

aukima Karen Marie Moning, the highlander series. first one is in the highland mist. I highly recommend this series! It delves into the rich mythology of scotland and time travel, immortality . It's Beyond the Highland Mist. I loved that series. The Dark Highlander and The Immortal Highlander made me cry. xd She started a new series that's a spin off of that one. The second book doesn't come out until October, though. ):
