Session One! Onuris was busily plodding through the aisles of the neighborhood drug store. Only he wasn't doing it alone, in front of him he was pushing a stroller and in the stroller sat a white haired golden eyed infant with four arms. Onuris was looking for a cheap baby toy amongst the last-minute-buy-this-stupid-consumer section. The last baby chew toy met its demise a few moments ago and was now resting on top of the garbage can's trash heap outside of the drugstore. Anyone silly enough to look into a garbage can to see its contents could see ominous fang markings and a busted part where the water drained out. All-in-all Metis seemed proud of herself even though the front of her shirt was all wet.
Bang. Bang. Bang. Neveah was hitting her forehead over and over on the pharmacy counter at the very back of the store, her body completely doubled over and her arms outstretched across the counter itself. She wore very little in the means of clothing; just a very loose t-shirt and plain blue jeans...it had a purpose though, as uncalculated as it was for the rather cold weather. She wore little clothing to save pain on her back. She was in that awkward, painful stage between her fight with her now ex-boss that broke her wings to beginning the surgery to remove her wings, and as such her torso was heavilly wrapped, and four groups containing slivers of various sizes that used to be her wings sprung from her back. One could still see traces of the blue and black they used to be, only now they held blood red as a third colour. Zasalamel was standing beside her, the tall Drow trying his very hardest to get his Ilhar to stop hurting herself even more; he was so upset and worried he didn't even realize he was speaking Undercommon instead of English. When that didn't work, he eventually started to look around the drug store for someone, anyone, who might be able to persuade Neveah from giving herself a bigger headache. Of course, it was then he spoted Onuris by chance, and he waved his arms over his head, not wanting to leave Neveah's side. "Echk! Echk!" He cried out, trying to get the man's attention; he was so preoccupied it didn't register that he knew this man.
It wasn't often a drow waved at him in a store and shouted at him in a strange language, not to mention that he also, by chance, just so happened to look up toward the banging sound with much confusion. For a moment he didn't register Zah as someone he recognized. The last time he saw the boy, Zah was a toddler, thus it took a moment or two before recognition arrived and whacked him over the head. Who was that strange woman next to the lad? Was that ... Neveah? Onuris' brow furrowed as he wandered forth pushing the stroller in front of him toward the pair, "Hey, hey? What's this?" he asked quietly to make sure the woman heard him over the sound of self abuse. Metis stared up from her stroller her golden eyes looking first to Zah then to Neveah. Big people are strange...
Bang. Bang. Bang....Bang.....bang.... .... ...No Bang? Neveah had heard someone speak from behind her, and for a moment, she stopped hitting her head on the counter, instead turning it slightly to look over her shoulder. What hopes she had of the man being the pharmacist here were dashed when she recognized him right away. Groaning a bit, she dropped her forehead back onto the counter and let it there. "I'm trying to knock myself out." She informed Onuris, an edge to her voice that was the result of pain, not of anger towards the man. "Now, if you'll please excuse me." The butterfly hit her forehead off the counter again, though her attempts now were weak and pathetic. "Ilhar..." Zah whimpered softly, chewing on his bottom lip. He didn't like to see his Mother in pain, but now he saw her in pain every day...and it was his own fault! Looking thoroughly guilty, the tall, 5'7" kid started to wring his blindfold in his hands. "...Okay fine." Neveah grumbled after she heard Zah, turning her head towards him to look at him. "Stop looking like someone kicked you, its not your fault." Apparently she was grumbly today! Hmm, I wonder why. Hitting her head on the counter again, she finally stilled. "Hi, Onuris." Neveah mummbled in an undesired attempt at conversation; her voice muffled by the counter.
Onuris leaned a bit forward to look past Neveah over the counter and frowned a bit and then looked at Zah and his mother with a deepened frown, "This won't do," he muttered softly tapped his fingertips against the handles of the stroller thoughtfully. "Hi, Neveah, mind keeping an eye on my daughter for a moment?" there was a small pause and then, "Thanks!" and suddenly he was gone. There was a swing of a near by door that read 'EMPLOYEES ONLY'. No good could come of this. Metis meanwhile stared up at the two she was suddenly left with and she made a spit bubble after a moment it popped and she blinked looking confused before uttering, "Abah? shhrrr.." "Yeah, sure." Neveah said half heartedly, managing to lift one hand in a wave. Once Onuris was gone, and she could tell by the sound of the swinging door, she spoke again. "Zah, watch Onuris' daughter." It never clicked what she was saying; until now she didn't think Onuris even had kids. Daughter? Zah was thankful he asn't asked to watch the---oh. Well, Damn. Sighing, he slowly shuffled over towards the stroller, putting his rope-marked hands on the handle. It wasnt until she started gurgling did he chance a glance at her; and noticing her spider alignment didn't miss him for a second. "Uhm...Uhm...Gud Baybeeh?" He said nervously. Crap. Crapcrapcrap! The baby happned to be female, happened to have four arms, and happened to be affiliated with spiders! He didn't like it, that combination rather unnerved him... Hurry back Onuris, hurry back!
Behind the EMPLOYEES ONLY door there was a bit of a tussling and shuffling and some words exchanged. All was mostly muffled, but one of the voices seemed a little upset and the other unmistakably amused. Apparently Onuris was taking things into his own hand for the sake of a friend and her poor, poor forehead. Metis stared at the drow boy and tilted her head noticing the discomfort and looking very confused about it. Her head tilted unto one side and then the other, "Guuurrrrhh?" there was an upward inflection to her tone suggesting a questioning, but sadly she couldn't talk. She sat forward a bit exposing her oddly colored wings and fluttered them a bit, "Ahhiiceee bah...beeh," Now, why didn't Neveah go in there and do what Onuris did? Well, for one, she was afraid of fighting others now; two, just the effort of walking over there involved too much pain; and three...well, if she did make it back there, she'd probably seriously hurt someone. Really, she was thankful Onuris was there to save her back, her forehead, and her sanity. Zasalamel made a bit of a surprised, confused face. Oh no, wasshe trying to talk to him?! He couldn't understand her! What to do, What to do, What to do...! Eventually, after a moment of shuffling silently from one foot to the other, he let out a rather nervous chuckle. "Uhm...uh. Siyo." Thats right, just agree with whatever she was saying! It was a safe bet.
After a moment or two there came grudgingly shuffling out a proud employee of the pharmacy. A little behind the individual strutted out Onuris, "Go on, it's your blasted job, now do it." "I was on break!" came a retort which only earned the employee a boot to the rear with a not too gentle shove. "There are customers in the store, the bell was removed and no sign was up. I have half the mind to report you." Onuris went on to lecture the employee about service and the like. The employee stumbled and shuffled and moved behind the counter looking as if someone had just recently pissed in his cornflakes. Metis giggled lightly at the boy clapping her tiny hands in delight. She liked the boy even if he was apparently scared of something. She didn't quite register that it was her that he was scared of. After all she did nothing to him that she could recall. Her giggling exposed tiny fangs, "Bah...beeh, ammmrrr...skrrik?" she spoke only babble but now thanks to his responding to it she thought she was talking. The pharmacy employee droned in a deadpan tone, "Can I help you?" Neveah turned her head to the side when the door reopened, partially watching the going-ons and partially not wanting to watch them. She was, however, entirely thankful to Onuris for helping her. Hell, for even BEING there she simply adored him now. When the employee FINALLY asked her the question she'd been waiting to hear, she managed to withdraw a slip of paper from her person without really moving. Without lifting her head, she waved it infront of the employee. "Gimme this. Now. And water. If not water, at least gimme that." She was referring to the lists of medicine on the slip of paper. Once the employee grudgingly went to do his job, she turned her head towards Onuris, her thankfulness shining in her dull aqua eyes. "You're my hero I love you." "Uhm. Siyo. Bahbeeh. Feemayel ehs baybeeh." Zasalamel was accidentally wringing the poor stroller handle by now, entertaining the little female since she seemed to demand it. The tall Drow brightened considerably when Onuris re-appeared, and then again once he noted that his Ilhar was finally getting some assistance from a male that should, by ll accounts, have been punished for his attitude.
He blinked and then laughed good naturedly, "I love you, too," he replied cheerfully as he moved back to the stroller and Zah. He tilted his head a bit noting the light discomfort the boy was in, "Something wrong? You seem a bit uneasy," He didn't understand and chances were he likely couldn't at least he wasn't able to make any real connections based upon his limited knowledge. Metis looked up at her father and tilted her head and held up her top most set of arms a demand to be picked up and held. "Not right now we'll leave in a second though," He said gently to the child. Metis didn't understand what was said but she knew it was something that denied her being held and thus her expression became cloudy. Onuris glanced at Neveah a look of concern passing over his face but he was obviously saving his questions for now. Zasalamel lifted his purple eyes. "Ahh...feemayel." Was all he could say when asked what was wrong. But since Onuris was there now, he took the opportunity to shuffle back towards his Ilhar, who had just finished taking the required medication that booted her pain out the metaphorical door. Neveah stayed in silence for almost twenty minutes, waiting for the pain in her back to subside before she even thought of standing up straight. When she did, she leaned against the Drow child that happened to be as tall as she; he supported her weight rather well, almost as if he'd been subjected to this for a while now. "Before you ask...I got into a fight with my ex-boss over Zasalamel...and I have to get my wings removed now. They started to remove them, but it was too big of a job to do at once.' She stated quietly, that annoyed edge to her voice. The young Drow flinched again, then lowered his gaze. "But...! Pain Killers are my friend."
"Ahh, she isn't that bad, she only bit me once," Onuris replied as he moved to stand behind the stroller gripping the handle of it. He too stood still watching Nev as she delt with the pain that was jolting through the body and he couldn't help but admire the woman's ... strength to go through such a thing. Onuris also was glad that Zah was willing and able to support his guardian's weight as it were. At first Onuris said nothing after she spoke eyeing his friend and her 'son'. What could he say? He wasn't sure but 'sorry' didn't seem to cover it at all. He looked away from Nev and Zah and sighed a moment before finally uttering, "Your ex-boss is a b*****d, pain killers are indeed your friend, and tell me when the next proceedure is and I'll be sure to visit or go with you," he said with seriousness. She can't make him not visit or go with her. After all the way they bumped into each other? Most definately he considered her a friend. Then a silent moment, "Can I help in any way?"

Session Two! Seriously, being told he'd only gotten bitten once by the multiple armed girlthing was NOT helping Zasalamel get over his fear of her. In fact, it only made him want to help out his injured Ilhar even more. Girlthings were bad enough, but BITING girlthings were even worse...though not as bad as girlthing-with-weapons or angry girlthings. Neveah had gone silent with Onuris spoke. It was natural to agree with her about her situation and her adoration of painkillers, but to offer to visit or go with her to the hospital? That...was new. Well, she'd probably offer to go visit, but to go to the hospital? Nah, she wouldn't do that. But he did. The broken butterfly was staring at him as if he'd sprouted another head on his shoulders; though it could have been a lightheaded after affect of the medication. "You'd...go with me?" She questioned quietly, slowly trying to take her weight off of her Drow-child. Then, when the next question was asked, and she thought about it for a moment. "I guess...helping me back home would be a nice place to start..." She mused, glancing at the counter. Either Onuris had scared the crap out of the kid, or maybe it was her health-coverage, but the man behind the counter had disappeared again, before she could think to pay him.
Onuris glanced over at Zah and noticed the greater unease his comment caused and managed to hide his amusement just barely. He shook his head and offered, "She only bites me if anything, she really is nice," of course it probably didn't sound convincing to the poor Drow-child. As far as the red haired man new his daughter didn't carry any form of malice within her four-armed body. Of course he could be wrong. His golden eyes were brought back to Neveah as she questioned him and Onuris' return reaction was to tilt his head, "Of course I would go with you, I'd even take you there by whatever means necessary," he was unusually serious as he spoke. It was a sure sign that he meant what he said, "And I'll be glad to help you guys home." Metis peered up at Neveah and then over at Zah. A small smile crept upon her lips as she stared at the boy. She thought he was pretty even if he was a bit ... jumpy.
Girls? Nice? PAH. Well, there were only two girls he could say were nice; his Ilhar and Kishi. But Kishi didn't found because she was boyish in mannerisms ANYWAY. He glanced over at the four-armed girlthing...then promptly looked away, shifting very slightly from one foot to the other in discomfort. "..Oh." Was really al Neveah could say in response to Onuris' words. For now, at least. A moment or two later, she would reply with "I'd...like that." Though it would be difficult to figure out which of his words she was responding to. Gee, pain medication made her quiet and almost shy! At least, this was what Zasalamel had come to as a conclusion. Soon, She'd move to stand on her own legs, without the help of her drow-child...though she was a bit wobbly for the most part. Taking in a deep breath, she took some slow steps towards the outside street, determined to do this on her own.
Naturally, Onuris wasn't going to force his daughter on the boy and so he just dropped it and began moving after Neveah to make sure she doesn't collapse. All else failing he'd carry the woman and make Zah push the stroller along. "Good, because it is my pleasure to be of help," is all he said. The red haired man was idly leaning on the stroller and just seeming to push it along with his forearms kind of lazily. How the stroller supported his top weight without tipping over baby and all was unknown. Metis meanwhile took to gnawing on the nearest strap with a sigh of boredom.
After a bit, Neveah had to stop. Not because she was tired, but because her body seemed to have discovered their current path was uphill. She was biting on her lip now, swaying on the spot. Unless it came to children, she didn't much like asking for help...and she was hesitant to do it now. She took in a breath that might have suggested she was going to ask, but instead she held it and put one of her feet forward. Only, instead of bringing it down in a sturdy manner, her brain misjudged where her foot was in comparison to the ground, and the poor Butterfly went down onto the pavement. Her hands hit the ground first, stopping her actual body; but it was enough to send two very convincing jolts of pain into her already numb form. Neveah let out a cry, unable to stifle any of it. Zasalamel had been walking behind Onuris, since the logical order of travel was behind a female, and behind your elders. Of course, that meant his position in line as behind the older male. At first, he wondered why they had stopped...and he only knew why when Neveah let out that painful cry. "I-Ilhar?!" He gasped out, taking a few steps towards her.
Onuris took a moment to kick in the stopper for the stroller so that Metis doesn't roll away in the rush of all the panic before going to Neveah's side. He allowed room for Zah to be able to be near his mother as he didn't find it right to deny the child a right to be able to check on someone dear to him. "Woah, you alright?" he asked as he knelt next to her offering a hand, "I can carry you on my back," he said simply. There was no option in the offer it was simply as it was. He wasn't going to dare carry her in a fashion of cradling as that would likely focus the pain on the back, "Think you can manage?" he could easily handle giving a piggy-back ride to Neveah. Metis watched the commotion quietly and slowly stopped chewing. What was wrong with that lady? She didn't quite understand. Softly the baby began to whimper.
"I...I'm fine...!" She tried to say as cheerfully as possible, though she failed miserably. For a moment, she looked like she was going to refuse his offer outright...and even after raising her index finger and opening her mouth, the eventually relaxed both then sighed. "Alright. I can manage that, if you can. Its a long walk to my house..." Hoping that would deter him, she slowly and wobbly got to her feet. Zasalamel stared at his Ilhar and Onuris...and after a minute or tw, decided Onuris had everything covered. besides...he doubted he could carry his Ilhar back home right now. Instead, he nervously glanced at the stroller that contained a now-whimpering little girl. After fighting internally for a moment, he rounded the stroller and knelt infront of the baby girl, reaching out to pat her head in a comforting manner...without looking at her.
Even if she did manage to sound cheerful he'd probably have a thing or two to lecture her on for that. He didn't stand instead he stayed kneeled down and offered his back to her, "I can handle it, trust me," is all he said as he waited for her to get on his back so they could start going forward. Metis quieted down a little her upper hands going to her mouth, but not biting on it. She gave Zah a quiet almost mournful look. She blinked twice as he patted her head, "Bah beh?" The man glanced over at the stroller and Zah, "Hate to do this to ya, kiddo, but mind pushing the stroller along for me?" he'd find a way to make it up to the boy in the end.
Neveah sighed. Damnit, it didn't deter him! Having utterly and completely lost, she found herself awkwardly climbing onto his back; she'd never gotten on anybody's back piggy-back style before...! Wrapping her arms around his shoulders, she clasped her hands infront of him, then rested her cheek on the back of his head. "I feel like a baby." She grumped to him; even injured, her pride was still very much intact. "But...thank you."
Zasalamel, who had only been glancing at the girl, found himself staring at her when she gave him that look. Girl or no girl, that look broke his heart. Managing a smile, he pet at her hair again. "Siyo, Gud Baybeeh." Well, at least he was trying to be useful. At some point in their walk, Neveah had fallen asleep on Onuris' back, and it was up to Zah, who was stuck pushing the stroller, to guide them home. Of course, as it always went, the sleeper woke up once they were infront of the house, and she wiggled and writhed and complained until she was put down. After her wobbly feet were back on the ground, she leaned against the door as she unlocked it. "Since you're here..wanna come in for tea or something?"
