Adian was practicly whistling as he took another turn on the abandoned rode to Erik's house. The red haired man's life had been so full of crap lately with Reiha and dealing with...her. But now he was dumping the little brat off with her new friend and he was going to go back to his house for a date! At long last he was going to get laid. And his date was majorly hot too, which is always a plus. Plus she's fun and since Reiha wasn't around he could get a little buzzed without feeling guilty. Oh yes, life was good.
"He hasn't stoped grining since we left the damn house" Korbin muttered to Reiha from the back seat. The pair had decided to stay back there dispite the fact that Adian invited them to the front seat but Reiha wasn't intrested in talking with him at all.
"He can't wait to ditch us" Reiha said with ripe disgust, even as she whispered to make sure he wouldn't hear to be able to defend him. She wasn't intrested in conversing for him. "Which is fine by me. I like Berial better and Erik seems content to keep quiet. At least he barely said anything to us last time. And Berial is really excited to meet you" Reiha's bitterness relaxed as she talked about her friend with the odd arm.
"Heh, right" Korbin wasn't so sure of Berial's trustworthiness but at least he could be around this time. To protect Reiha.

"Whatd do you think she likes to eat? What if burn the kitchen again, Berial?"
"Erik." Berial watched his guardian pace.. He was more nervous than Berial, and it was Berial's guest coming over. He stood next to the fishtank, most of the fish watching thier owner with amused, fishy gazes.
"Nah, I wouldn't burn it down again, but then again if she asks me to cook."
"Erik!" He called again, trying to gain his guardian's attention before he burned a hole in the floor.
"And that Korbin thing you talked about.. What if it eats us? Or worse, what if it eats fish?!" He said, and stopped pacing, horror passing over his features.
Berial took advantage of his cease in movment to toddle over and grasp the fleeve of his dress shirt. "Erik. M'sure the kitchen won't burn down and Korbin wo' eat the fish." He said, patting his guardians hand sympathetically as Erik gave a long sigh.. He wasn't used to having any sort of company.

Adian glanced at his directions and then the street, "Well I think this the way" he muttered to himself. Erik sure lived out of the way but it made sense for that social reject he let himself be. Of course Adian liked Erik alot, then again Adian was always attracted to the socially akward. Proably because he was confident with others, the socially awkward amused him. The socially akward women were pretty fun to seduce to.
"Alright back there, we're almost there" Adian called back, mostly it was pure hope but his hopes were realized when he saw that house apear from behind the trees. He grined and started to go a bit faster.
"Okay Reiha I want you to behave yourself" Adian started what he felt was the standered parent talk. "Listen to Erik and keep that bird in control. And for God's sake please don't insult Erik alright? He's a little shy and all I'm asking is pretend you're nice. Just for one night alright?" Adian pulled the car to a stop in front of the house. "Just one night and if you're good you can come back, okay?"
"I'm not stupid Adian" Reiha grumbeled as she grabed her bag (that had more books then clothes) and got out of the car. "I know how to act with other people." She walked crisply forward after slaming the door shut. She didn't even look at Adian as she headed to the door, pushing the door bell and steping back before glancing over at Adian. "You can go now" she dismised clearly, holding Korbin close to her body, his golden eyes almost glowing from his dark feathers.

Erik almsot jumped a few feet into the air at the sound of the doorbell and immediatly began fidgeting with his dress shirt (thy seemed to be all he wore). "Coming.." He called out before turning briefly to Berial. "let's go then." He said.
Berial grasped onto Erik's hand and went rushing to the door. Flinging it open as soon as he got there. "Reiha!" He called out, grinning at the fact that it was her and not the postman or something. Catching eye of Korbin, he only beamed a bit bigger, though he didn't think that the bird in her arms was the Korbin she had spoken of.
Erik grinned down at Reiha, a tad awkardly, yes, but most thigns about himw ere awkward anyways. "Hello Reiha." He said, peering around behind her. Spotting Adian's car, h stepped out a bit. "I'm going to go speak to Adian for a moment. Please, come inside and amke yourself confortable" He said, politely, thoguh hsi voice trmebled slightly, moving out and towards the car, if only jsut to greet the older man.

Reiha smiled when Berial opened the door, no mater how she felt about Adian she really did like Berial. He was nice and he agreeded with her most of the time. Which was always a good way to be on Reiha's good side. "Hi Berial, this is Korbin" she introduced, nodding down to the small hateful crow.
Korbin glared at the boy, bright golden eyes looking up to sneer at Erik. Weakling he thought in joyful distain. Reiha had nothing to fear from Erik,...or Berial the bird had to admit. Both looked like simple marks to someone like Reiha. Though true they did out number her Korbin could go for Erik's eyes while Reiha took down the boy. Glad to have that figured out he ruffeled his feathers to look more scary.
Adian had gotten out of the car only to turn around and find Erik there. "Oh hey kid" a hand came down for a manly hit on Erik's back as Adian grined. "thanks for taking the brat don't be afraid to call if she's making your life hell" Adian pulled out a few numbers feeling horribly adult. "But please dude, if you can help it, don't call. I got me a date tonight"

Berial smiled broadly. " 'Alo Korbin." He said to the bird, reaching out hsi blighted arm before stopping. "Does he mind being petted, Reiha?" He asked cautiously. He knew that the octopus had his moods where he didn't want anyone bothering him, and perhaps Korbin was the same.
Erik's gangly frame buckled until Adian's hello, but he just pushed his glasses up and smiled up at him. "Reiha seems like a nice girl, and she seems to like Berial enough, so that's what's important.." He said, taking the numbers in his hands.. "I doubt thigns will get that bad.. You can enjoy your....date.. without worry.." He found his own cheeks tinging pink at the mere thought of someone elses date.
Not that he'd ever been on one of his own.

"Ah normally he hates it" Reiha admited, glancing down at Korbin. It was clear they had that silent communications most hope to get when they marry someone. Reiha then glanced up to Berial with a smile. "But you're nice, so he'll stand it. I pet him all the time. His feathers are silky and soft" Reiha's arm moved out so the blighted boy could pet Korbin.
Korbin really didn't want to be 'petted' like some sort of lame puppy, but Reiha said Berial was nice and Korbin was sure that he could get his eyes with very minmual effort. He was a very morbid crow...
"Good, good. Yeah Reiha tends to be pretty well behaved if you don't try to tell her what to do oddly enough. Sadly what she always want to do isn't good for her. anyway feel free to feed her whatever" Adian asured him, eyes glancing at his watch. "She'll eat what ever. As for Korbin just let him go out hunting. He'll get what he wants. And Reiha will just let him out when he's hungry. And he'll come back when he's full. And don't be afraid to kick him out if he tries to do anything bad. I warned Reiha about it. If they make a fuss call me and I mean it. Okay I'm done playing dad. I'm soooooo honry. See ya Erik" Adian waved as he got into the car.

Berial took note of this and simply rushed his fingers over the crows feather's once before retarctig his hand, not wanting to upset the bird. "He is soft.. You're lucky he lets you pet him all the time.. He's pretty." He remarked, glancing upwards as the two sporkets came whizzing about overhead to examine the newcomers. "That's Lazare and Aiolos.. I think they like you too.." He said, as the sprocket let out some high pitched pings.
Erik nodded and commited Adian's words to memory. "I'm sure they'll be good." He said, hoping they would be.. Erik's cheeks turned a bright crimson at Adian's parting statement and he simply waved back meekly. "I uh.. have fun.." He mannaged to stutter out through his embarassment.

"I am lucky" Reiha smiled and hugged Korbin to her, giving his small head a loving kiss. "I don't know what I'd do without him. He's always been there for me. And he'll always be there" Reiha hugged Korbin happily and then looked up to the lights "Ohhhh! Pretty, that's really neat Berial" Reiha moved in and let her bag fall to the floor. her hand reaching up to try to touch the sprockets.
Korbin fluttered his feathers as he was complimented. They say the ways to a man's heart is his ego. That's a lie. The way to anyone's heart is his ego. And Korbin may have a small heart but he had a pretty big ego. Everyone had an ego after all.
Adian grined up at Erik, "Oh don't worry, I will" he let out a loud laugh as the car started and he happily drove away. Oh yes, he was going to have LOTS of fun. God it's been far to long since he got to spend some alone time with a chick with breasts. He understood why people liked couples when they had kids. It allowed them to get at least some action. Oh well, it wasn't like he planed this kid. He hoped she had fun.

Berial nodded, smiling over at Korbin.. She was very lucky.. He suddently wished he ahd someone like that, so he wouldn't be lonely, but the thoguht was quickly dashed as Aiolos dipped down to let Reiha graze him with her fingers. Berial giggled. "See, they do like you." He said, as Lazaras followed suit dippign down and starting tospin around Reiha, as if examining her.
Erik just waved, standing there until Adian was out of sight before he turned, tucking the paper with the numbers into hsi front pocket. Striding back inside the hosue, he smiled as he saw the sprokkects with the kids. "Adian jsut left.." He stated simply. quite unsure of what to do now.

Reiha grined as the sprockets drew closer. "You're so bright" she whispered, "It's very cool" the mocha skined girl then glanced over to Berial, "I think they are very neat, I wish I had one" she said honestly even as she stroked Korbin. Reiha didn't even glanced over at Erik as he mentioned Adian, or respond. Adian didn't elect feeling in her.
Korbin looked over though, glaring at the man, he broke free from Reiha's grasp so he could flutter over the door, staring at Erik. If the boy didn't feel threatened then he wasn't as whimpy as Korbin thought. And Korbin would have to just try harder. Which is what Korbin did best.

"I'll get you one then." He said simply.. He hadn't exactly gipped the concept off money (or lack of) yet.
Erik fidgeted slughtly under Korbin's gaze. He was ussually only unnerved by people, but this bird seemed not to be very friendly. "I uh..." H said, at a loss of what to do.
"You wanna see Erik's fish? They're so cool!" Berial declared, saving his uardian from having to think fo an activit or soemthing like that.

"thanks Berial" Reiha said happily, moving over to give him a hug before she glanced back to look at Korbin and frowned slightly. She knew what Korbin was doing and since part of her was kind of happy with the protection she had to be nice to Erik so he'll invite her back.
Korbin on the other hand was smirking as he watched Erik fidget. He loved making people squirm. Korbin let out a sudden cry and spread his wings, circling over Erik for a few circles (very vulture like) before he returned to Reiha's grasp.
The girl held the crow close, a muttered 'Behave' slipping though her lips before she turned to Berial and smiled. "Sure! Korbin likes fish, but he doesn't eat them" she asured her friend as she turned to follow him.

Berial hugged her back briefly, beaming at the fact that he'd made her happy. "Mmm.. that's good. I lik the fish, I wouldn't want them to get eated." He said, nodding, reaching for Reiha's hand and elading her into the lviing room.
The fishtank took up most of the living room, filled with all sorts of colorful fish and coral, eve a small cave wehre the tip or two of tentacles could be seen. "Cool, huh?"
Erik gave a small squeal at Korbin's display but forced himself calm. It was just a bird, and angry vicious devil bird. "I.. uh.. I think I'll just.. be in the kitchen reading.. call em if you need anything.." He said, fdgeting slightly.. Devil bird..

"Don't worry, Korbin will be good" Reiha promised with a pointed look to her bird before she let her hand slip into Berial's as she followed him to the living room. It was odd that she let Berial hold her hand, she hated it when Adian got to close to her. Then again she didn't like Adian.
As they reached the tank Reiha gasped slightly and moved closer. "Ohhh, look Korbin. Look how pretty they are, like jewals of the sea" she smiled and moved up to try and splash her hand in the water. "You have a octopus in there?" she gasped surpised.
Korbin grumbeled slightly as he was yelled at but he watched with an inner smirk as Erik made a not so graceful reatreat. Stupid human he thought to himself At least the kid seems nice. And Reiha is smiling Nothing made Korbin happier then seeing his charge smiling as brightly as she was.
