Gale didn't often come by the Wayward Pound, the very place he had been left as an infant. He thought it too... crowded most of the time and liked to just spend his time alone in his room practicing his cello or writing poetry.
He was a very quiet and solitary teenager, what one would expect as they went through changes and got ready to be an adult. Even though he was very much still young in the eyes of elders, his body seemed to be in overdrive. Although he held no desire for the opposite sex like most his age, he was 'blessed' with the fact that he was growing... a lot. He was even taller than his adoptive mother now.
Not that she was very tall by anyone's standards, but at 5'11" and still growing he wondered if he would end up being taller than his aunt, Lidiya - whom was a six-foot-tall vampiress. He supposed in the end it really didn't matter though.
The black cat sat underneath a tree with a tiny green patchwork book in his lap. He scribbled away in it line after line of poetry, scratching things out when they didn't sound right and rewritting them over and over until he got the flow he desired. An iPod also hooked to the waist of his black cargo pants, his own choice in classical music ringing into his pointed ears.

Heaving a sigh, a rather young and different looking Wayward moved outside the Pound. He had been found a few days ago, in his little home under the shed in the clearing, and had been given someone to care for, a better place to live, and had been thrust into the company of many others that had been homeless just like he had. But getting used to the hustle and bustle of a place such as The Wayward Child Pound was going to take him a little time. Especially since so many were interested in the fact that he was a new type of child, a bat.
He had large ears, sensitive hearing, and he had grown up in a rather quiet and solitary environment. He was happy that he had people to speak to, other than his two other friends that were of a similar species to him, but he wasn't quite used to the commotion quite yet, and therefore found the outdoors quite a nice place to be. Large electric blue colored eyes scanned the trees, it was good to be out from underground.
Long gray fingers brushed strands of dark hair from his eyes as they fell upon a solitary black cat sitting against a tree, writing in a little book that rested in his lap. Naolin's head tilted to the side gently as he blinked, it wasn't often that one found a Wayward Child wandering around outdoors, most of them loved the company of others, or so it had seemed by his encounters inside.
The faint sound of classical music reached his large ears and a smile flitted across his face, he was seeking solitude as well then? Naolin didn't know whether he should bother the young cat child, or just move on his way.
((hope that was alright ^^; ))

((Yep! Have a pic of him? heart ))
The black cat didn't seem to notice the other at all. Afterall, people came and went from the pound all the time - one wasn't bound to attract his attention. He continued to scribble inside his little book, yellow eyes focused on the paper in front of him.

Shinji walked around the Wayward Children pound bored as heck, no one was around for him to talk to. Being the smiley, happy go lucky guy he was, he was optimistic about it and decided to go outside and see if anyone was there. He walked out the doors and spotted a new kind of child and was amazed to see him, and another under a tree. Shinji smiled to himself and walked over to the bat child to hopefully make a new friend. "Hello! My name is Shinji, whats yours?" he smiled as he asked the bat child his name.

((He isn't certed yet, so this is all I have. But his name is Naolin, and his personality it Kind and Intelligent ^^ http://server6.theimagehosting.com/image.php?img=batboycuffearring.png )) The young bat-child seeing that the black cat hadn't noticed him, let a small smile play across his lips. Kind and intelligent he may be, he had a bit of cunning flowing through his veins. After all, to make such a mess in the basement in the pound and to try to get away with it... as well as snagging a few things here and there... Well... He wasn't all innocent. He never harmed anyway with his cunning, merely, most of the time at least, made other people smile as well as himself with his little anitcs. Moving around behind the young cat, he hid behind the tree he sat at the base of, making a wide-arc to avoid betraying himself. He smiled and tapped him on the shoulder with one long finger. Yanking his arm back and hiding behind the tree, careful to keep the chain on his gothic earing from clicking against the other metal pieces. He wasn't doing this to scare him, nor to make him angry, but merely to grab his attention and perhaps even start a conversation with the cat boy. He seemed like the type he could get along with, after all, it seemed he liked the quiet and solitude as much as he did. However, the boys ploy was ruined as a rather loud blue and white cat moved up calling out that his name was Shinji. Naolin simply smiled and moved out from behind the tree, giving the black cat a grin as he did so. So two in the same place, both outside... Maybe the pound wasn't so bad after all. At least when you were alone with a few rather than many. Though the loud voice hurt his ears a bit. "Naolin," he answered simply.

Due to having his headphones on, Gale didn't even hear the bat boy coming until he felt the tap on his shoulder. His head snapped around, yellow gaze glowing fiercly at the tree trunk. He looked around and watched as another bounced towards the tree.
Damn, solitude interupted.
Yellow eyes watched as the bat revealed himself and started talking to the other feline. What an odd looking guy.
Even though he made no greeting, a black clawed hand reached down and turned off the white iPod before pulling the earpods out from his pointed ears.

"Nice to meet you Naolin," Shinji smiled again," I've never seen anyone like you but you look so cool!" Shinji noticed the other Wayward had been listening to his ipod and knew it was his fault for making him turn it off. "Sorry about me being loud" Shinji said to the black cat, his ears drooping a bit.

Naolin looked a little detered for a moment at the comment, but as the cat who had introduced himself as Shinji finished, the smile returned. "Thank you," he said, feeling a bit more proud of the way he looked. However, as Shinji directed his attention to the black cat behind him, Naolin turned as well.
"I'm sorry if me tapping you on the shoulder wasn't the best thing to do. But, I thought I would try to catch your attention, after all, you seem to like the quiet as well. Though it isn't as quiet anymore is it, being that there are three of us," he spoke, giving the cat a harmless smile.
"I'm Naolin," he stated, holding out a long gray fingered hand, the red webbing folding between them.
"You may be loud Shinji, but it's the way you are, don't apologize for it," he stated simply, glancing over his shoulder quickly at the cat, before re-focusing his attention on the black cat.

"Yeah but I know when i'm too loud" Shinji said to Naolin and smiled a little. Shinji looked down at the black cat and smiled," and I'm Shinji"

"S'ok." Gale said as he shut his tiny book and slid it into his coat pocket - he didn't want anyone to see what was inside it.
He simply nodded to the Naolin and stood at his full 5'11" height. He took the bat's webbed hand in his own and shook it before letting go. Yellow eyes glanced between the two of them. "I'm Gale." He said, his voice somewhat quiet.

Naolin glanced up at the suddenly rather tall Gale stood to his full height. Naolin himself was only at the moment, 5'6", still rather young, and still a little ways away from becoming a teenager. His large eyes gave a gentle blink as he looked away from the tall black feline, and focused back on Shinji.
"I will admit though, that you are a bit too loud," he said gently, pulling his hand back and giving his large ear a tap, "My hearings a little sensitive," he said, "that's why I'm out here in the first place, I'm finding it a little difficult to adjust to all the noise in the Pound." he stated, letting his hand drop to his side.
"Why are you two out here?" he questioned, glancing from one to the other, though his blue eyed gaze stayed on the black feline. "I know you were writing something, but I won't ask what, you came out here for privacy and quiet judging by your reaction," he stated, his voice falling to a lower level.

"Nice to meet you Gale" Shinji smiled. "Sorry Naolin... I just love meeting new Waywards and people" his ears drooped again. "I'm only out here because it seemed like no one was inside, if you guys prefer it quieter I could always get my brother to come out, he's very quiet...."

The teen nodded to Naolin. "Poetry." He said simply as to what he was writing, a boy a rather few words. Yellow eyes then looked over at the other feline and he just shrugged. "Doesn't bother me."

As if on cue, Shinji's brother, Tsuji, showed up. "Shinji you idiot, i've been looking for you, it's time to go," Tsuji scolded his twin. "Hey Tsuji, I was jus talking about you," he smiled," This is Naolin and Gale" "Nice to meet you," Tsuji nodded to them then turned back to his brother," let's go, now" he enforced the now part. "But why?" Shinji asked. "Because i'm mean" Tsuji said. Shinji sighed,"Alright. Bye Gale. Bye Naolin, see you guys later" Shinji smiled and they both left.

Naolin opened his mouth to say something as Tsuji and Shinji began speaking, but the two were gone before he could say a word. Leaving his long finger in the air and his mouth open in an attempt to say something. His jaw snapped shut and he turned back to Gale.
"Well... that was rather abrupt. I really didn't mind that much... Poetry? That's nice, I wish I could write poetry... Are you good at it?" he questioned kindly, giving a gentle smile.
