What do you like to listen to? What is your skill level? Do you read music, or play by ear?
... my hubby plays guitar (by ear). I'd be happy to ask him for suggestions...

i like rock, and metal (mostly really hard stuff xD ) i consider myself a begginer, i play only 11 months or so .. and i learn by myself xp and i read music .. i cant play by ear (yet razz )
the biggest problem (for me) are guitar solos in songs, because most of them are too hard to try to learn at my skill level... i like to learn but im faaar away from playing like Steve Vai, Yngwie or Jimi Hendrix XD heart
edit :// i can add that my rock/metal education began when i was uber-little and i was sleeping , listening to Queen heart xD i began to discover the world of Metal 8y ago, when i bought my 1st metal Cd - Mettalica xD then , iron maiden, black sabbath... and many many other...

Paw's pretty good actually, his skill has developed a lot in the time that i've known him, and he's more confident in his playing than he was earlier in the year. i think he has it within him to be great, as long as he pushes himself 3nodding maybe one day, when he's brave enough, he'll share some of what he's done with everyone whee

not watching that! i end up with that tune in my head for days otherwise lol
let me tell you that Paw is miles better now than he was when this was filmed, his playing is far more together and flows nicely, and he doesn't watch what his fingers are doing anymore. Paw i think it's time to get the video camera out again 3nodding as a personal request, i'd like to hear some more of the Turkish March, i thought that was great xd

I totally agree with Paw on this. Don't stop playing George just because a string broke. I'm sure it happens to everyone.

My Irish friend Mo played a little guitar (not much) and the few bars of recognizable songs I remember were Come As You Are by Nirvana and either Sad But True by Metallica or Nothing Else Matters, I can't remember which. A lot of Metallica ones have really good guitar tunes in them.
And I like your taste in music. 3nodding My hubby probably more so as he's more into the 80's metal (Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Megadeth, etc) than I am, but we both like a lot of the hardcore stuff (I like newer stuff like Soil) and he kind of veers off into the Death Metal and Black Metal too.
