Kea skipped merrily behind her mother as they walked through the marketplace, humming a little off key with the music she was listening to on the mp3 player she took from Eight. It was some weird song with a lot of guitar and a really long name that scrolled along the screen. When she asked Eight was it was called she'd 'our lawyer made us change the name of this song so we wouldn't get sued.' So she assumed that her mother must have been in this band if she said it like that...except she voice was a guy so maybe she was the one playing the guitar since she had that room full of guitars. She had no idea that was really the name of the song.

"Mommaaaaaa? Can I have one?" Kea asked as she held up the mp3 player for Eight to see. The woman smiled and twirled the purple piece of Kea's hair--today it was blue to match her blue eyes and the blue sweater she was wearing to keep her warm.

"We'll start with CDs, okay? ...Oh dear. Looks like the battery's dying." Eight frowned, coaxing the mp3 player away from Kea to turn it off and put it back in her pocket, taking's Kea's hand and turning around to backtrack to the music store they'd walked past a few minutes ago. Now all Kea had to entertain herself with was her hair, she held some of it in her hands and narrowed her eyes in concentration for a few minutes before her hair turned chestnut brown. Now she looked completely different! This ability to change her eye and hair color was so much fun!

The music store wasn't only housed to the various shoppers that day, but a young furry woman with her Tale. After a previous incident involving a certain Koru and a cup of tea, the pair had gone out in search of a second copy of what various CD's both Taley and Fai had been listening to the morning prior.

The pair hadn't been there long, actually, they were only just into the store; lingering by the classical section. The little Tale sat on his author's shoulders, one headphone covering his ear. Large hazel eyes dazzled, pressing his pink ear into the speaker. There was only one problem; his goggles. Presently, they sat upon his head, lapsing up against the edge of the leather headphones.
His small nose contorted into a frown as they, for the third time today, slipped on and against the leather headphones. It didn't help that his thorns had somehow got caught up in the wiring, altogether it left the small lad with a mess on his hands. Leaning his head over to one side, he flickered his downy feathered wings to try and stop the curve of gravity.

"I should have thought of this earlier," Taley mused, holding onto one booted hand with one arm, while the other contained the very CD she had been searching for. Bi-coloured eyes faltered over the tracks, strangely unaware of the situation happening just next to her white rounded ears. Her tail slowly swished behind her, apparently happy that the CD was what it said on the cover.

Aha! Flicking one wing this way, Fai could rest his baby cheek against the rounded opening to this headphone, the music flowing joyfully through his ears. Holding his thorn covered arm up, still painfully wired up to the electronics, he swung his hand around to pat one of Taley's furred ears to the soft lullaby beat.

Luckily it didn't take long to get to the music store, and both Kea and Eight gladly welcomed the heat of the building as they walked in. Kea's hair was now bubblegum pink with a cotton candy blue strip while her eyes had been changed to green, however her eyes became blue and her hair brown with the blue stripe when they walked in. Eight let go of the Tale's hand to let her look around on her own for a little while while she searched for the perfect CD player for her.

Kea hummed the tune of that song she'd been listening to over and over, she only remembered the chorus section, as she looked at the covers of all the CDs. Some of these were really weird! There was one with a half naked girl with just a bunch of diamonds covering her privates! She put that one down and gave the immediate area another quick look, only instead of CDs she saw the fuzzy lady with the boy on her head. Oh my god! A two headed person! How cool! The girl gasped and ran around to the next aisle, creeping through it until she got to the end and peeking around to watch Fai and Taley with wide eyes. Wait a second...that wasn't a two headed monster! It was just a fuzzy lady with a boy on her shoulders. Despite that her eyes were still wide and her mouth formed an 'o' at the sight. She'd never seen a completely fuzzy person before!

Keen eyes had been watching the entrance haphazardly during the latest bout of song, but hadn't truly taken much more notice than briefly glimpsing at the two females walking in; one with the raccoon tail, the other with the brown hair and the rather startleing blue stripe placed in the center. His hand continued to bop onto the edge of Taley's furry ears, despite any protests made. Not that he'd be able to hear any protests; he was far too absorbed in the melody swimming through his ears.

Yet, all good things have to come to an end and presently the song wrapped around to a close. His ears flickered as silence filtered through the headphones, only to be replaced by an odd and rather annoying buzzing at the back of the headphone. Obviously, it wasn't supposed to do this, but that might have had something to do with the thorns digging into the plastic cord currently intertwined with Fai's arm.
Two mottled wings twitched, large brown eyes blinking; as if one might blink bleary eyed awaking from a pleasant dream. Chubby toddler fingers found themselves curling around the edge of the purple splodged ear, his forehead creasing into a frown. Why had it stopped? He had been enjoying that!

"All over?" Taley questioned, the author only forming that opinion once the soft patting had ended. She had heard some of the louder crescendo, and amazingly Fai had been able to keep to the rhythm perfectly. How a child of such a young age could do that was anyone's guess, but Taley was quite content with being baffled for now. Twitching her ear within his palm, she shifted her fluffy arms up to pull him off from her shoulders.

Except, there was a slight problem.

It was only when Taley had managed to put the small Tale onto two feet that she noticed the cord hanging off his arm, noticed the thorny spikes scraping the plastic off the cord. From this position, she could even see the yellow, red and green wires within.
"Maybe that wasn't such a good idea, eah?" Feigning a smile, Taley tapped the little boys nose, before winding around to get stuck into the thorny mess. Usually, she wore gardening gloves for such dangerous activities, but she'd have to cope without for now.

Still baffled by the hasty halt to the music, Fai tipped onto his booted feet. Just like Kea, he was too clad in an overlarge green jumper, yet, unlike the older Tale; his jumper had one sleeve missing. His wings flickered rapidly as the headphone was removed from one delicate ear, flicking and flapping to keep his goggles upright upon his hairline.
It was only when Taley tapped his nose that he made any gesture of his own, an infectious smile spreading from one cheek to the other. He gazed up from his position, eyes wandering around the store for his next source of music, that was until deep hazel eyes meeting with those of green. Why exactly did she seem to surprised?
Raising one hand, the other that wasn't presently stuck, he waved at her. He'd seen that guesture many a time on television, maybe she'd respond to him if he did it?

Kea blinked and the color of her eyes changed. Now they were the same color as the boy's in front of her. She watched quietly as the fuzzy lady freed the wing-headed boy from the evil headphone wiring trying to entangle him forever and make him a part of it; Miss Fuzzy Lady was so brave! But at least she saved the little boy from the dangerous clutches of the wire!

She was about to hurry across the store to tell Eight about Miss Fuzzy Lady and how brave she was when Fai waved at her. The Tale blinked and looked around for a moment to see who he was waving at, turning back to the boy with wide, blue eyes and pointing at herself. After a moment she finally decided she was probably being rude by just staring at him like some idiot. Keaira smiled brightly and fixed her skirt and sweater, skipping around the corner she was hiding behind and waving a few fingers in greeting. "Hiiii." After her little wave she folded her hands behind her back, looking up at the cd Miss Fuzzy Lady was holding and then back at Fai. "I'm Kea~!" Might as well get the awkward introductions out of the way. Eight was carefully watching from nearby where she was picking out a cd player for Kea. As long as Kea was content she wouldn't interfere unless she was called for by her daughter; it wasn't like they'd be able to run off with her anyway.

Fai's own eyes widened, watching a pair of identical irises blink back at him. His mouth opened in pure awe, large hazel eyes battering open and then shut just to make sure it hadn't been all an illusion. Apparently satisfied it hadn't been, his look of awe turned to that of glee, a happy smile spreading once more over his young features.

Battling with the wire was harder than it looked, and it took quite a few winces, tugs, pulls and yanks before she pulled the Tale free. In all that time, Taley barely noticed Kea communicating with Fai, bitten lip drawn in concentration as she untangled the last of the yellow wire. It was at times like this that she wished she wasn't put in charge of a child, let alone a child with thorns adorning one arm and neck.
Once Fai was freed, Taley drew herself up to her feet, wire in hand. Safely securing it back into the stand, it was only then that the woman smiled. The cable was safe for another day, and Fai wouldn't be entangled in that very same wire again. Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for the wire, which hung rather precariously off the edge of the stand, mortally wounded as it's very wires were strapped out from the black casing.

"Hm?" Taley had been about to usher the little boy along when she saw his lingering gaze with the other, watched as Kea bounced over towards the two of them. Her furry ears twitched, unconsciously finding herself tightening her light grip around the CD she was holding. Never again would she trust child, man nor beast anywhere near her favourite soundtrack: not after Magik had split tea all over the CD player at any means.

Apparently un-disclosed to his authors apprehension, Fai's fingers outstretched as his thorns were untangled. He carefully placed one boot in front of the other, in an attempt to meet with the girl should she have decided not to have wandered over. Luckily, he got a point, a smile and a skip all in one turn! His wings twitched lightly, finally succumbing to gravity, his goggles falling right in front of his deep hazel eyes.

What a great way to make an introduction, when he couldn't even see! Instantly, he rose both hands up to his face, tugging the leather away from his button nose. It appeared he was no apprentice at this art, and soon enough the goggles found their place once more; much to the distaste of his downy wings, which now had to hold the heavy flight goggles up once more.

"I'm Fai," He spoke rather softly for his age, his speech no where near as concrete as Kea's had been. His nose crumpled as he tried to vocalize what he wanted to say, but rather pointed to her eyes instead.
"Changed col-coler!" Fai stated, amazement and admiration dripping off his tone. He knew exactly what he was trying to say, but why was it so difficult sometimes? When he had thought her eyes had been his own hue, now they were blue. This girl was fantastically magical!

Kea fixed her sweater a little now that she had stopped skipping, the neck of it had begun to unfold because of her bouncing and was defying gravity by covering her mouth. Silly turtlenecks. The girl continued to watch on with curious eyes as Miss Fuzzy Lady battled with the headphones to free the littler boy. She almost had it! Yay! She'd freed him! Her wings fluttered happily as she applauded Miss Fuzzy Lady for freeing the boy, turning her full and undivided attention back when she caught movement in the corner of her eye.

A bright giggle escaped her when his goggles fell. He was so silly! But the little wings on his head didn't look very happy to be holding his goggles for her. The poor things. Kea smiled when Fai introduced himself, jumping a little when the boy suddenly cried 'Changed col-coler!' That was unexpected. She giggled again and nodded. "Uh huh! Watch~!" The girl thought for a moment on what to do, an idea suddenly struck her.

She closed her eyes for a moment and rubbed at them, it sometimes felt weird when she changed the color of her eyes, the color of her hair changing to the same color as Miss Fuzzy Lady's. When she opened her eyes they were silver and gray. "Ta daaaa~!" She announced with her arms out wide and a big grin on her face. Now she was Miss Fuzzy Lady!
