How do Diclonius's get vectors? Why does Mariko have more vectors than Lucy? Why do Nana's vectors stretch longer than Lucy's? Tell me please!! confused

umm first they were born like that and second she umm i think is speical because she is the ultamite umm declonius and not sure maybe it was because she was a project and had to be used so more she trained or what ever it maybe got longer or she was just born with it that long not sure

LOL. *Ahem.* Allow me to slightly school you. The Diclonius are born with vectors, which get stronger as the Diclonius ages, I assume this from a part in the anime when number three tries to escape. For the difference in Diclonius' vector amounts and their ranges; The manga states that the Diclonius are evolving as the humans did to better fulfill their purpose. Nana was born a few years after Lucy. The slight difference in the range of her vectors show that as new generations are born, their vectors are beginning to reach farther. Mariko was born many years after the other two and is the only known third generation, making her the most evolved form, which is probably why she has so many more vectors than the others that can reach farther distances. Then again, I'm no expert.. this is just what I got from the anime. =D

Mariko is nowhere near the ultimate diclonius. The ultimate diclonius is Anna, she is the most powerful diclonius, so advanced that her head is the size of a small lake and she can basically predict the future to a base extent.

I don't know if and how many vectors she has, but believe me, she's called the goddess for a reason.

Diclonius get their vectors from a mutated enlargement of their pineal gland, a small gland in normal humans that is much bigger in diclonius. Nana "turns off" vectors by disrupting the pineal gland, in this case its not actually done through pain as most people believe, it is the pineal gland being "turned off" that is painful. However pain DOES disrupt a diclonius ability to be use their vectors.

Inochi was right in saying that as generations progress the power and number of vectors increases.
