Of course i think it is a great card, because i use mostly dimir type decks so naturaly i have three in my deck... but some people i have talked with say that the card should be banned because its just too powerfull. But come on its so great... sending ten cards from your opponents deck into his/her grave yard... and for only two mana, givin it is a black and a blue, but still it is by far one of the best cards in my deck besides Szadek, Lord of Secrets...

Glimpse is a pretty bad card now days with Reanimator being one of the top decks in Standard. Also with BU being one of the worst color combinations in Standard, it just doesn't see play.

I guess this or Traumatize could be fun if followed up by Tormod's Crypt.

I glimpse you and then put all the cards you need to dredge into your graveyard. Besides, I've seen U/B/G run glimpse on themselves, it's like sifting ten cards for two mana.

Realistically in a Type II game, you're going through 20-30 cards (on average) before you win or lose. A Type II Mill deck will generally hit 10-30 cards per game. Dredging cards add about 10-15 extra cards (in a dedge deck, not a deck with dedge cards) to the graveyard. That to me means that the average dredge deck will deck against a Mill deck. However with Gaea's Blessing now Type II, its a whole different story. Dredge is a Replacement Effect (aka doesn't use the stack) so the Blessing triggers after the card is in your hand.

As I said, A dredge deck generally does about 10-15 extra cards (which is about your estimate) to your normal draw. We're talking about the Cloak, Life from the Loam, Golgari Grave Troll, etc. A deck with dredge is different since Moldervine Cloak is in nearly every deck with Green since it is a Great Card. On average, I'd expect to dredge it 2 to 3 times per game.

Glimpse the Unthinkable itself is a good card, doing a rather big effect for two mana. However the problem is not with the card, but with the mill strategy.

I like the card, and just because reanimation is popular in standard does not make me think any less of it, for my inner Johnny is stronger than the inner Spike. ^^ talk2hand
