The afternoon was quiet, very much so. The sun shone through the holes in the canopy of leaves on the trees, and the usual sounds of the jungle were all around. One angry leopard was stalking her way through the jungle, unsure of what to do with herself. Her step was as if she were hunting, though that was not her intention. She would just walk until she felt calm, or found some distraction or outlet for her feelings. (( Different from original post. And unsure if it's actually going to be replied to..? ))

((Sorry this is sooo soo late D: )) Monifa walked through the thick underbrush of the jungle, where she had been when she was a cub and had met Athrun. That had been so long ago, and she was so much older now.... The lioness heaved a sigh, her ears flattening. She didn't have a problem about the differences from when she was a cub... The sounds of the jungle flowed to her ears, her tail flicking back and forth behind her. She loved the forest, much better than any of the other surrounding that she had been. Whether it be the scenery, or the sounds, there was no other place she rather be...

(( yay : D It's ok, I'm glad you posted <3 ))
Aside from intention, another contrast of Mleli's manner to that of hunting was her concentration and attention. Lost in her own angry thoughts, she only walked and ignored everything she saw that was just some obstactle to walk around. That is, until something knew and obviously not just a tree appeared in the corner of her eye- something that no doubt caught sight of her before she really took notice of it.
A lion, she realized. Then Mleli froze and just stared at the young lioness.

Monifa walked a few more paces before actually catching eye of the leopard. Once she did, her head turned, ears flicking back and forth, azure eyes skimming over the figure. "Hello" She murmured, just loud enough for the other being to hear. She didn't step any closer, not knowing if the leopard was a friend or foe. Her tail swated behind her, burshing against the foilage around her.

Mleli's eyes narrowed at the lioness. She was a smart one, she decided, keeping her distance and her voice down. However, she didn't just ignore the leopardess, but the leopardess had not just ignored her.
"Hello," she greeted the other stiffly, then stood waiting to see if the lioness would further pursue a conversation.

"I-" She stepped foreward a bit towards the leopardess, "I'm sorry if I bothered you, ma'am" She bowed her head lightly. As she lifted her head, her azure eyes flickered, scanning over the figure before her. Her tail flicked from side to side, flicking up dirt from the ground. "M'name's Monifa" She murmuerd, looking to the ground.

As much as Mleli liked the instant apology she got from the lioness when clearly it was the leopard that passed by and not vice versa, she was in too much of a bad mood to just happily accept it.
"Hah, apologizing for nothing," she snorted, and smiled smugly as if the idea was foolish. The leopardess looked the lion up and down and decided it was an apology for being a lion, how else would she be bothered by the mere sight of another? It was a lovely apology to hear, "Perhaps not, Monifa, was it?"
Monifa didn't look very.. strong, or outgoing. It wasn't as big-headed as Mleli had been imaging lions for the last couple days, and it reminded her of the little yellow lioness who told her the lovely story.
"My name is Mleli," she introduced herself. Her anger was put aside for the moment, but her eyes showed well how critical she was being, how judgemental she was being.

The lioness nodded meekly. "Yes, Monifa is is." She bowed her head lightly, ears still perked. "It's a pleasure to meet you, ma'am." She didn't have a problem with leopards, then again, she hadn't really met many in the past. She could tell her leopardess' light distress, and she decided not to press, not wanting to anger her.
She was silent for a few moments, her tail brushing in the dirt behind her.

Too restless to stay still much longer, Mleli paced back and fourth before the lioness thoughtfully. She had an indecisively menacing air to her, displaying conflict between how she felt and how she wanted to feel. Respectful lion was not a bad .. thing to run into.
"Do you live in the jungle, or are you only visiting?" she asked, continuing to pace.
