Deep in the heart of the temple, as the sound of the cascading waters echoed against the stone walls...one Malu resided. In the center of this garden, filled with trees and colourful flora, was a fountian which casted a light mist over the area. Sitting in the pool of water a small femme of Green and orange, her eyes closed as she relished in the cool water that trailed down her pelt.
Deep in thought, the young Malu seemed to be younger then her mind made her...sometimes it was worrysome. This was proably due to not having friends he age, her closest ones being Mythos and Amadeus...both not really in a sense friends. Mythos was her adopted father, and Amadeus being the one her heart skipped a beat to. Otherwise, she really had no one to talk to. Giving a gentle sigh, she hummed a small tune as she smiled up into the streaming water she sat under...feeling it was too nice a day to be downed by her problems.

With a mind swarmed with thoughts, Kamin padded about the temple, not quite ready worship. He liked to clear his head before hand, offering up a clean mind to his god when he entered the shrine. It was sort of a silly practice, but it was the way he had been doing things since puphood, and today was no day to quit. Moving around the corridors silently, listening to whispered prayers and mapping out the temple as best he could. It wasn't usual for him to stray so far form the western wing, but he was curious that day to see what the rest of the ancient building held. He knew a few Malu who went down this way daily for their shrines, yet he had never walked with them in this direction. Going round a corner, he was shocked to find the garden. He must've taken a wrong turn, for he knew well where the fountains were, and they were not in this direction. Unless the temple made a giant circle, of course.
Deciding that pacing wasn't going to clear his head, Kamin walked deeper into the garden, taken in the fresh scents and the sounds of trickling waters. Meshed in with the usual birds and ripples was a small voice, a relatively cheerful tune, and the male followed it with mild interest. He came upon a younger female who was seemingly enjoying herself, and, not wanting to disturb her, sat himself down against a fern and watched. He had yet to meet the Malu, and found it appropriate to study her in case they should ever come in contact again.

Tilting her face upwards into the stream of water, a look of utmost peave and tranquility remained plastered on the emerald malu's face. Taking a breath of the mist ridden air, her voice rang out when her vocals no longer hummed. "This world may have failed you, it doesn't give you a reason why. You could have chosen a different path in life. Sparkling angel, I couldn't see, you're dark intentions, your feelings towards me..." She sang out clearly, by no means like some of the song malu in professionalism, yet her childish tones were light and full of heart.
Feeling cleansed of her worries, the female stood and stepped out of the stream and across the shallow pool of water. Once closer to the edge, she violently shook out her fur as water droplets scattered as they were airborn. Feeling her fur dry enough, Elina opened her doe brown eyes to raise a brow at the male before her...one she had never seen now splattered with water. Smiling sheepishly, she hopped out of the pond and flicked her paws to get rid of the excess water. "Sorry, sir....I didn't see you there." came she sheepish reply, her ears drooping slightly as she smiled weakly with a dipped head.

The silent male cocked his head slightly, listening to the female's song. She had quite the lovely singing voice, and Kamin made note of the position of the sun as to check back tomorrow for her around the same time. He could've easily curled up and taken a nap with the song as his lullaby, but unfortunatley, none of the such would happen.
The sun above had heated Kamin's body for a time now, and as the cool droplets fell to his short furs, it felt as if he was being snowed on. The Malu gave a violent shake, eyes wider than usual, and he stood abruptly. The water trickled down his skin, causing him to close his eyes in an attempt to ignore it. "Ah, no problem. And please, don't call me sir. I am not your supierour." He opened his eyes and looked down at the young Malu. "My name's Kamin; you can call me that."

Tilting her head slightly, Elina could not believe how short of fur this Malu had...it was almost as if that was his own skin. He seemed quite regal, which made her want to continue calling him sir for that reason....plus Amadeus' formal attitude had rubbed off on her in a sense. "Alright S- I mean, Kamin. I'm Elina! Its nice to meet you." She smiled and sat down, innocently looking him over as she had never seen such a pattern before.
"You have shiney fur, Kamin! I like it." She giggled lightly, before glancing around the small garden around them. "So what brings you around here?"

Kamin nodded and took a seat, feeling lightly drowzy. He smiled at Elina's manners, rather pleased that the younger gerations knew how to be ladies and gentlemen. It was the way he himself had been brought up, and he was happy to know that some in the Temple were brought up about the same way. Minus the ocean swims, of course. "Nice to meet you, too, Elina. And thank you. It's rather short, isn't it?" He hadn't thought of his fur as short until he had come to the Temple and saw that every Malu there had longer fur. Sort of impractical for the desert heat, he had first thought, until he had gotten a sun burn. It was only then Kamin knew the luxury of longer fur. "Your voice is rather beautiful. Do you sing often?"

Nodding, Elina's eyes closed for a moment as another peaceful smile crossed her lips. For some reason, Kamin's mosture came off as tired, maybe that is why he had come to this garden...to take a nap. "It is, yet its such a pretty colour. It reminds me of water!" She stated before opening her eyes back up, looking up at the older male. It seemed she had a knack for meeting older malu, not knowing anyone else her age other than Cymeck.
A faint blush crossed her lips as she nodded lightly, turning her head to the side. "Why thank you, Kamin. Actually, I don't really. I like to sing when I am at peace...My Goddess often likes to whisper to me, and I just put those words into a song. Makes me feel happy." She confessed, her orange tipped paws squirming slightly...only having sung for Amadeus before. "Do you sing, Kamin?" Her gaze shifted back up to him, looking curious.

The Malu cast a glance over his coat. "Well, I was born right next to the ocean. Thank you." He smiled kindly, sending a sweeping glance over Elina's coat. "Your coat is quite colorful. It's very lovely. Sort of reminds me of this garden." He looked about him, seeing fruit and flora alike all around. She really did look quite nice surrounded by the plants.
Kamin had to admit he had been apt to sing in his childhood, when the pods of whales were close enough to the beach that he could swim out to them. Their music was something more beautiful to hear than he had ever come across on the land, and it had prompted him to make up words to go along with their melodies. "I did when I was a pup, yes. I haven't in some time, though." The thought was sort of sad, really, that he had given up a healthy pass time. Singing is a great way to get ones feelings out. He was a shy creature, though, and the idea of someone hearing his songs was all too much for him.

Blushing once again at such a nice compliment, she decided Kamin was a very kind malu, and that she enjoyed his company very much. "Thank you, Kamin. The ocean? What's that?" She inquired quite curiously, it had such a nice name that whatever it was much have been beautiful!
Her smile faltered slightly as she listened to how he had given up on singing, as she stood abruptly with vigor. "How could you have stopped! Singing is one of the most beautiful thinks when you do so from the heart. It isn't something you should ever give up if you enjoy it. Would you sing with me sometime, please Kamin?" Taking a step foreward, she gazed up at him with her doe brown eyes, her tail wagging eagerly for his answer.

The Malu grew misty eyed for a moment, as if in a far off place. "The ocean is where the land ends and the water begins." After having been asked the question several times since his arrival, Kamin had decided that it was the best description he could give. Staring at the fountain, he quickly added, "But not freshwater, like here. Saltwater."
As the conversation took a sudden turn, Kamin lowered his head slightly. There was a Maluess younger than he, chastizing him for not singing. The situation was truely ridiculous if an outsider would've looked on it, but to him, it was rather serious. "I..I'm sorry? I didn't really mean to stop. It just... happened." He looked down a little, but then perked up again. "Sure I will. Singing again could be good for me." He smiled, glad he was no longer being yelled at.

Smiling warmly, Elina closed her eyes for a moment as she listened to his description, imagining the place in her own mind. From what she could see, it was a beautiful place even though she had get to see it for hersef; yet his admiration and love for the place strongly told her it was as such. "It sounds absolutely beautiful, Kamin. I feel jealous that I have not seen it myself."
However, blinking as he seemed down, Elina sheepishly smiled and lowered her own head. "No, do not be sorry, I am sorry. I get so emotional when Malu give something up...its like losing hope to me...which is very important in my life to always have hope. Yet I am very happy you will sing again! I can imagine your voice to be very very good, Kamin!" Eline giggled, noting if he held such strong feelings in his heart as well as such a elegant voice, then his singing must be wonderful!

Kamin nodded vigorously. "Yes, it's quite beautiful." He smiled to himself, wondering when he'd be able to go back. It had been a plan of his, to journey back to the beaches. He wouldn't stay there; the Temple was his home now, and he was growing fond of it. He would, however, like to bring Evey with him. And a few others. He wasn't sure who the others were yet, but he was certain the more there were the merrier it would be.
Elina's enthusiasm was quite refreshing, he had to admit, and it forced a larger smile on his face. The little Maluess was so strong in what she thought was right, which was something to be admired. Her pelt meshed in with her surroundings as Kamin gazed at her with a smile. Yes, she fit in with the garden quite well. They were both so colorful and full of life; it was a gift to behold either of them. "I wouldn't say it is as good as yours, Elina. But I am glad you are happy."

"Someday, perhaps you can show me the ocean? Something so fondly spoken of must be worth seeing." She beamed, cocking her head to the side as Kamin seemed so excited to be talking about his homelands. If she had known of her origins, perhaps she too could be able to talk about it...yet for now, she had her roots set in Mytho's forest abode as well as the temple. This made her happy, and not fret so much about the unchangeable past.
Standing up, her eyes lifted to see the setting sun overhead...Mythos would be worried about her and would indefinately come to look for her. "Well, Kamin, it has been a pleasure talking to you...but I should get going. My daddy doesn't like it when I wander about after dark. However, lets make a promise to sing together sometime, okay? You get those vocals warmed up!" She placed her smaller paw over his, awaiting for his acceptance to her promise.

The male smiled at the younger female warmly, his mind flitting to the idea of his great journey home. He had to build up a small group to go with him, and it was forever in the back of his mind whom he would take. Evey, for absolute certain, as she had never seen the great power of her god. And perhaps young Elina, when she was an adult. It would take some time to plan the trek to the beaches, and she would surely have matured by them. If she was still interested, he would gladly have her go with him. "Perhaps some day I will."
Kamin's eyes, too, looked up towards the falling sun. He should be getting back to the pack shortly. If he was to be caught on the path home in the dark, he was positive he would become lost and have to make camp somewhere along the trail until morning light. The little paw on his brought his gaze back to earth, towards the green and orange Maluess. "Yes, we will sing together some time, that is certain. Maybe even here in this garden."

"Oh good!" Elina chirped gleefully, oh how she loved to see new places, the hope that went with finding something grand was all too pleasing to her and her Goddess. "I would be honored to go with you....it seems so grand!" Smiling happily, she very much enjoyed Kamin's company, as he was such a laid back and happy Male - much like Amadeus. Standing and removing her paw from his, she nodded, grinning slightly. "Alright Kamin. I'll hold you to that. I hope to see you around soon! Have a nice night." Elina bowed her head, before frolicing out of the garden and back to her father for the night.
