WHO LOVES SHOW CHOIR AS MUCH AS I DO?!?!?! I Love Show Choir SOOOOOOO SOOOOOO much. i couldnt live without it. If u dont know what show choir is then u are missing out on a world that u never seen before. lol. so lets see who here knows what i am talking about. lol

I'm in my school's show choir. It's quite fun.
Currently we're working on a salsa dance, singing madrigal music, and performing songs like Without Love from Hairspray.

Meacorme I'm in my school's show choir. It's quite fun.
Currently we're working on a salsa dance, singing madrigal music, and performing songs like Without Love from Hairspray.
<3 YAY! someone knows wat i am talking about. lol I love the musical Hairspray along with others. we just finished Oliver!, Lionking, Guys and dolls, and Fame. it was awesome. we r doing deck the hall, circle round the moon, be like the bird, son of a preacher man, and i know a place, o come o come emanuel, and silent night right now. but we are getting more songs every day. lol ^^

im in my schools show choir it is so awesome we go places and compete we r preforming songs like holiday romance, baby its cold outside, and many others

yea, we go so many places as well.
the advanced mixed choir, Powerhouse, goes to a competition called FAME every year. last year it was in new york. n this year it's in orlando florida. I cant wait to be in that choir cuz i am in the intermediate womens choir right now. LOL!

I think I'm in a show choir... I was pulled from my original Choir and put into it. We are a small group and we are the only ones she is taking to Festival and Solo and Ensamble... She calls us the Elite Choir...
The class was supposed to be "Intro To Theater", but due to budget cuts in our district last year, the teacher in charge of the class was laid off as it was her first year. She was the only one qualified to teach a Broadway class, as she has performed as Little Red Riding Hood in "Through The Woods" on Broadway. smile Ah well. I enjoy having the smaller class though... we get more done quicker. smile

I lurve my show choir! heart We're totally tight like spandex. (Or tight like spankies, whichever you prefer!) We're an all girl group, which is nice because we can do things like have a secret underwear Santa every year at Christmas time.

musicgeek I lurve my show choir! heart We're totally tight like spandex. (Or tight like spankies, whichever you prefer!) We're an all girl group, which is nice because we can do things like have a secret underwear Santa every year at Christmas time. awesome. we have secret sisters. in the beginning of the year all of us pick a name out of a hat and we have to get a present for that person during every competition and performance. ^^ what's ur show choir called? maybe i have heard of it.

In response to the above two posts, I am also in an all-girl showchoir, which is amazing. heart spankies! we have tour buddies, which is like secret santa during our annual tour. This year we're going to Seattle!

I wish I could love my show choir more this year, but we just got a new teacher who completly underestimates us. She has us singing fifth grade level songs. No SATB either, just SAB.

We just got a new director too because our other one had retired. sad Our choreographers were doing the same thing by underestimating our levels in dance but then we proved them wrong. i hate it when people underesitmate.

Let's see...my show choir has 34 members (17 boys, 17 girls)
and we're performing:
St. Elmos Fire (theme song to some old cop show)
121(from the Goofy Movie. I have a solo in it!!!)
In Whatever Time we Have
Show Choir Man (parody of Z.Z.Top's sharp-dressed man)
Don't stop me Now (by Queen)
Umm...Our costumes are a black tux w/ pink tie and the girls have a pink dress. Then we change into a bright orange pleather jacket and the girls have a pleather skirt and halter top. It's really hot dancing in those gonk

I know A LOT of guys in show choir....but I dont think they go on here. OMG! Don't Stop Me Now was the theme of our Pop Show last year! It was awesome. The choirs did that song to open it and close the show. Our set consists of : Where You Are ~ from kiss of the spider women Comes Love ~ Ella Fritzgerald I Honestly Love You ~ Olivia Newton John I Got You Babe ~ Cher I know a place ~ Petula Clark Son of A Preacher Man ~ Dusty Springfeild We have pink dresses in the beginning and then we change into green dresses with frivals things and purple jump suites. all made of velvet. i hate them. but they are comfy-ish.
