Happy Birthday, Naruto

Notes: It's Naruto's 18th birthday, and also a special anniversary for the two boys. Sasuke has a plan to make this Naruto's best birthday to date. (VERY heavy slash scene... one can read over it if you want, it won't ruin the story.)Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto.[ Naruto x Sasuke ]
Sasuke stood against the wall with his book bag on the ground beside him and his arms folded loosely across his chest. He was wearing his ANBU uniform minus the arm gear and the mask which were in his bag. He peered through the window behind him to see his Naruto intently studying. He chuckled inwardly at the thought of that.... Naruto.. and studying. Not to even mention intently. 'He sure has changed...'
Naruto was wearing fitting gray pants, brown wooden sandals, a goldenrod and grey t-shirt with an orange design on the chest, and Sasuke could barely make out the white fishnet undershirt that was poking out from under his shirt. Sasuke grinned to himself, almost unable to wait outside for the class to be over.
It was a year ago today that Naruto dragged Sasuke back to the Leaf village. Shortly after things somewhat returned back to normal, Naruto and Sasuke enrolled in the college and then joined ANBU under the same team. Perhaps the most important thing that had happened, the same reason Sasuke had done all of the above, and even stayed in the village, was Naruto.
Right after Naruto brought him back, the slight spark that was between them ignited on the night that Sasuke tried to escape. The hospital was finished with him, and he didn't see any reason to stay anymore. He was almost to the village gates when an out of breath Naruto caught up with him, tears in his eyes. The sight of that in itself shook Sasuke, but it was what Naruto said that broke him.
Naruto told him that he cared about him so much that he almost died, several times, trying to get Sasuke to come back and that he wouldn't hesitate to go after him again. Either the levity of the moment, or Sasuke not wanting Naruto to put himself in harm's way (maybe a combination of both), convinced him to stay.
He would never forget that night. Sasuke followed Naruto to his dormitory and stayed overnight. That was where it all started.
Not only was it the anniversary of Sasuke's return, but it was also a certain blonde's birthday. Naruto didn't tell Sasuke that night one year ago. Naruto told him that he had forgotten all about it after he found out, but Sasuke wasn't going to let it slide by this time. He imagined the preparations and cringed slightly in anticipation.
Sasuke shook his head to rid himself of the thoughts as he heard the professor end the class behind him. He picked up his bag and shouldered it as the students filed out of the lecture room. When Naruto got out, he noticed Sasuke immediately and hugged him in a fit of joy, both boys ignoring the looks from their peers.
"I didn't know you were going to be back!" Naruto happily exclaimed as he let go of him.
"Surprise then," Sasuke calmly told him as he leaned in to kiss him. "And happy birthday." Naruto melted into his arms and blushed as he broke the kiss.
"Aaah we shouldn't do this here. Come on, let's get away from here." Naruto took Sasuke's arm with his hand and began to lead him, but Sasuke spoke up.
"Where do you think we're going, dobe?" He smiled at the use of his nickname for him. Naruto looked at him questioningly.
"Um... Home? Your dorm? Mine? It's really late, I doubt anything's open." Naruto had been attending a late evening class. Sasuke grinned and took Naruto's hand and began to lead him now.
"Wrong. Come with me." Naruto pouted slightly but smiled.
They left the campus, Sasuke not leading Naruto by the hand anymore but with the two of them, together, side by side, hand in hand.
Sasuke led them towards Ichiraku's ramen stand, but before they got there Sasuke took a small white cloth from his pocket and blindfolded him, lightly licking his ear from behind as he finished tying the knot.
Sasuke brought him to the stand and then signaled to Teuchi, who smiled and picked up a bowl from the heated plate sprinkled a design on it. Sasuke sat Naruto down on the seat and then slowly undid the knot, letting his fingers slide along his neck, grinning when he felt Naruto's goosebumps erupt along his skin. Sasuke removed the blindfold, and smiled more when he saw Naruto's face light up.
On the ramen, sprinkled in herbs, was "Happy 18th Birthday, Naru-chan." Sasuke sat beside him and ordered a bowl for himself and they began to eat their dinner.
"Thanks again for staying out this late, Teuchi." Sasuke remarked as he finished his bowl. Naruto was holding his stomach lightly.
"Yea, thanks!" Naruto closed his eyes and grinned.
Teuchi nodded as he took off his hat and turned off the lights to the stand, getting ready to close up. "No problem at all!"
Naruto and Sasuke waved to him as they left. Naruto leaned over to hug his boyfriend tightly.
"Thank you so much, Sasuke-chan." Sasuke smiled and then put a hand on Naruto's head.
"But the night's not over just yet." Naruto looked at him almost in disbelief. He looked around, and realized that Sasuke had led them to the college stadium. He really needed to pay more attention to where they were going....
Sasuke looked around for anyone and then lead Naruto over to a tree beside the gate. He climbed up and then helped Naruto up and over the fence.
"We aren't going to get into trouble, are we?" Naruto shot him a look. Sasuke looked at him with a grin.
"Not if we don't get caught! Now come on, I have something I want you to see." Naruto followed Sasuke up the path to the seating areas and then they went down to the track which circled the immense football field. Sasuke led him onto the turf and then laid down on his back in the grass. Naruto did the same, and looked towards him.
"What are we here for, Sasuke-kun?" Sasuke then pointed upwards, and then Naruto adjusted his gaze to see what Sasuke was pointing to.
Because most of the lights in this area of the city were out, it was a crisp cool night, and there were no clouds.... one could see the sky perfectly. The moon was half full and shined brightly down onto them, illuminating them, the grass, and the bleachers in a light blue tone.
Naruto could pick out and any all constellations that he knew and was able to see in the sky. At one point he raised his hand to trace the outlines of them with his finger.
Sasuke looked over at him, and smiled. He then reached into his pocket and pulled out a box. He sat up and then Naruto saw him and rose as well.
"What is it, Sasuke?" Naruto asked, and then Sasuke held out the box. Naruto blushed deeply and then opened the box. When he saw its contents, Sasuke could have sworn he saw his eyes get teary.
It was a bracelet that he and Naruto had seen on a previous adventure together while they were passing through a city. Neither of them had any money on them at the time, so they weren't able to get it, but Sasuke passed through the town on his way back from from his last mission.
The bracelet didn't seem like much at first. It was clear, but had a grey cover that formed an almost tribal design around it. When Sasuke put it around Naruto's arm, closing the lock, the bracelet seemed to illuminate with a soft orange glow, the light shining where the grey design wasn't covering it. Naruto shook slightly, and then hugged Sasuke so tightly that the motion knocked them both to the ground.
"Thank you so much, Sasuke... I've never had a birthday like this.." He buried his head into Sasuke's neck. Sasuke sat them back up, gently stroking his face.
"I really think that my telling you that I love you would be quite an understatement right now..." He closed his eyes and brought Naruto into a kiss, which lasted for what seemed like a very long time. When they broke, Naruto nuzzled softly down his cheek to his neck where he rested his head with his arms wrapped tightly around Sasuke's chest.
"I love you too." Naruto spoke quietly into his skin. Sasuke held him tightly still, kissing along the top of his head. Just then, as if to break the moment, two guards with flashlights appeared in the bleachers.
"Hey! You two! Stop right now!" They broke their hold immediately, looked at the guards, and then grinned at each other as they stood up and rushed towards the other side of the stadium. The guards, which were obviously just plain campus policemen, were very slow compared to the two boys. Sasuke and Naruto leaped over the fence in a single bound and then they hopped the back fence to the stadium, heading back towards the main part of the city.
When they were safe, they ducked behind an alleyway where they began to laugh as they caught their breath. When they calmed down, Naruto stepped forward to rest his head on Sasuke's neck, trailing his hand along his chest.
"That was so awesome..." He chuckled again, remembering how funny the guards looked as they chased them.
Sasuke kissed his forehead.
"The evening's not over just yet." He spoke with a grin on his face. Naruto looked up at him, and then Sasuke led them towards the dormitories. It had to be well past two in the morning by now, they had been running around all evening. Naruto was loving every second of this though. This had to me the most time him and Sasuke have spent together in a month or so.
Sasuke brought them back to his dormitory, and then gave Naruto a look as he was putting his key into the door to unlock it.
"Close your eyes." Naruto couldn't help but smile as he remembered back when he was a child, right before he got a really good surprise from Iruka-sensei he'd be told to close his eyes. He heard the door click open and felt Sasuke's warm hand gently grasp his own hand, tugging lightly to bring him across the threshold.
Naruto kept his eyes shut although he kept his other senses open. As they walked through the living room he realized that someone had been baking something. He had no idea who or what, because the two of them had been out for the whole evening.
He realized they left the living room and were walking down the hall. He squeezed Sasuke's hand a little and felt his thumb rub slowly along the top of his hand in response. Naruto smiled when he realized where he was led to as they turned into a room. It was Sasuke's bedroom, which was dark save for the candles around the room, giving it a dim glow.
"You can open your eyes now." He heard Sasuke speak softly as the hand left go and the fingers linger on his skin. He opened his eyes and realized that Sasuke was very close to him. Too close for there to be any space to be allowed in between them anymore. Naruto hugged him tightly and they began to kiss. It didn't take them long for each other to be adjusting positions as they stood in the room, each of them seeming to fight for dominance in the kiss.
Naruto felt himself go weak as Sasuke's tongue explored his mouth and slid against his own, and realized Sasuke was leading them to the bed. Sasuke broke the kiss only for a moment to trail his hands down Naruto's body, both of them breathing slightly heavily now. Sasuke reached under Naruto's shirt and slid it up over his head, nuzzling along his chest and neck as he did so.

After he finished, he climbed back into the bed, pulling the covers over them. Once the covers were over them, he wrapped his arms around Naruto, who did the same to him. He nuzzled against his neck lightly.
"Happy Birthday, Naruto." He spoke quietly as he breathed against Naruto's neck. Naruto hugged against him a little tighter, kissing Sasuke's bare chest.
"I love you so much... Thank you... This was my best birthday, ever.." Naruto buried his head into Sasuke's chest.
"I love you too, Naruto." Sasuke smiled as he kissed the top of Naruto's head. Sasuke couldn't wait, because it was Friday night... or Saturday morning by now, and he still had a whole weekend's worth of plans for this celebration. It wasn't long at all before both boys were asleep, entangled in each other's limbs, Naruto dreaming of ramen and Sasuke; Sasuke dreaming of Naruto with him in the hot baths that they would be going to the next day.
