Standing in the vally, it was quite strange for the young dapple grey soquili. He'd just got done with trotting and felt it would be nice to stop. Though, he realized it was quite dark out. Not use to being out at night, Cualtzin just froze for a second. Where was he? Ears flattening and tail flicking, he tried to see what was around him. It was quite hard sometimes, but he could see mostly trees in the distance, grass close to him, and some fireflies around everywhere.
Summer was coming to a close end, as fall was coming in. You could feel it with the slight cold breeze that was coming through. Though, it seemed to be a little late fall this year, since normally it was cold already. He didn't mind it though. It was actually nice this way. Meaning that winder would be slightly longer, meaning more snow to play in.

The sand colored stallion by the name of Hania, trotted through the lands. He had no particular reason for being out so late, other than just being there, not like he minded the dark so much. True, not being able to notice things quite so well made him a bit nervous, but it wasn't like he was afraid of the dark.
Now making it to a valley, he carefully climbed down into it, tail flickering lightly. His ears swiveled to catch any sound that might be 'malicious' to him, but other than that, he was being his typical self. What he didn't expect to see was the sillouhette of what could be another horse. With a slight tilt of his head, he made his way over to the other.

Cualtzin heard the sound of movement through the grass. Unsure what hit was he froze even more. Perhaps they'll go right past him and not see him. What if it was a monster? What if it was something that might hurt him? He shook alittle, making grass beside him move and make some noice.
He galped and finally decided it was best to show his presences if they didn't know he was there. "He...Hello?" He asked in a somewhat shaky voice. He wasn't much for violence, and was only brave when he had to be. Other then that he was more deffenceless then a little foal. He flicked his ears up to hear around him. Perhaps they weren't as close as he thought. How many where out there?

Hania stopped, ears facing forward when he heard the grass rustling. Was it the figure that was causing this or the wind? Whichever it was, it wasn't going to dissaude him from at least finding out who or what this shadow was.
It was when the figure spoke was when he was sure it wasn't anything that would be considered scary from the tone of the voice. The stallion, once again, started trotting to the other, calling out. "Hello out there... sorry to bother you at such a time."

He's eyes got big, he'd never heard that voice before. Ears flattening. "Do... Don't hurt me, Please... I didn't do anything wrong I swear." He said in a whimper. He felt hopless. How was he suppose to protect his mate if he couldn't protect himself? Well, she was totally different, if something bad was about to happen to her, he'd turn brave no matter how scary it was.
He moved away from the voice, squinting to try to see the other stallion. He was a bit out of his eye reach, but he could see a light shadow not to far away. Well he was a regular soquili at least. Cualtzin gave a sigh of relief. But what if it was that mean soquili he'd heard bad things about? He took another step back. "I'm... Harmless"

The other horse's, by what he could now tell, comment confused him and he couldn't help but quirk a brow at it. "What are you talking about? I'm not going to hurt you." He said assuringly.
He continued toward the other soquili, hoping that the other didn't run away for any reason. By what he could tell from the shadow he was getting closer to, it was a stallion and if it wasn't, that was one large mare. His brown eyes saw no hints of wings or a horn, so he could take a safe bet that the other was a normal soquili like himself.

Cualtzin gave another relieved sigh. Well, that was good to hear. He flicked his tail as his ears went back to normal. His icey blue eyes continued to watch the shadow come closer. The shadow turned a dark sandy color, lighter in the light he figured. "Hello, sir" He said again.
Perhaps he was friendly after all, and wanted to be his friend. An excitement raced over Cualtzin. Making him extreamly hyper all of a sudden. His feet stompt lightly creating a light mist of dust in the night. Thumping sounds as he did so. "Sorry, I just thought perhaps you were a... Lion or something." Seeing how no soquili would ever hurt him. Or that's what he though.

Hania finally came across the other soquili. He was right. It was a stallion, a black dappled one at that. His tail flicked lightly, watching as the male began to stomp his feet. He bowed his head in a second greeting this time as he came to a halt in front of the other.
It was odd to see another soquili out so late, but he didn't question it, especially since he was doing the same. At the other's comment, he couldn't help but chuckle just slightly. "I do look rather lion-ish, don't I?" He asked, bringing his head up. He couldn't keep that up as he shook his head and chuckled more. "Nah, I kid. Anyways, I'm sorry about scaring you."

He looked around before looking back at the stallion. He gave a funny grin. "No worries, everyone gets scared once in a while. " he simply said as if he hardly got scared at all. He stopped closer to the stallion to get a better look. It being dark out didn't help one bit. "You've got curly hair as well!" he said happily as he looked at the stallion. "I'm Cualtzin by the way."

When the other looked around, so did he. He wasn't sure what was around, but you could never be too cautious, especially at night. At the scared comment, he just shook his head and watched as the male stepped closer. This was when he took the time to get a better image of him. It was when he noticed the flowers in the other's mane. He knew he smelt flowers, but he thought it was the ones in the ground... he didn't expect them to be in the mane of a soquili, a male at that. He nodded to his statement and introduction. "It's nice to meet you Cualtzin, I'm Hania. If you don't mind me asking, but why do you have flowers in your mane.... don't they like die eventually?"

He grined even more stupidly. He loved this question. He loved the fact that no other male, no other male he knew of, that liked flowers in their mane. He cleared his throught and did a most serious pose. "Well, seeing how my lovely mate liked them so much in my mane, I decided to keep them there for her." He informed the other stallion. There was really no other reason, other then he loved them. He had them before his mate, but was planning on taking them out until she said she liked them.
He went back to his silly self. "I think they look good in my mane." Quite silly stallions, didn't they know flowers were nice and pretty and smelled nice. It kept the flies away. But bees, that was a totally different story.

At the mention of a mate, the golden stallion beamed happily and began to hop about the other male. "Ah, something for a mate, huh? I can understand that completely, although my mate hasn't said anything about liking flowers in my mane, but I would put them in if she did."
Hania adored his mate and would do anything for her. He was more so playful for her, but he would protect her to no end if it was nessicary, which he hoped would never happen.

He smiled. Another stallion much like himself. He would do anything for Tally. "Ah, Mares have a way to make any stallion to as they asked." He chuckled. Though, Tally didn't ask. It was the least he could do. She's showed him so much, cared for him alone, and sees him as the most awesome soquili.
No wings, horns, awesome tails, he was completely normal, and she liked that. He got a stupid grin on his face as he dazed in her thought. "No matter what, she'll always be the one that can tell me what to do."

"I have to agree with you there Cualtzin." He replied gleefully, still trotting around the dappled stallion. Hania wasn't the type to stay still, loving to gallop and run. But at this moment, he figured it would be a bit too rude to go running about, so he settled with trotting.
But speaking of mates, his mind raced to his fox colored mate Mahiri, and snorted happily. The two were just perfect together. They could just play with each other, and she didn't seem to mind his witty compliments like the other mares do. "Well... that's why we love them so." He stated simply to him, glancing as he circled for the fourth time.

Cualtzin chuckled. "Indeed." He smiled at the other stallion as he trotted around him. Cualtzin didn't mind where he was, as long as he was having fun. Though, he loved to move around. It made him feel free. "Something wrong?" he asked the stallion called Hania. He thought about the name, it sounded mareish, but he didn't say anything about it. It was, infact, a great name to have.
"My mate and I are trying for little ones. Do you have any?" He asked keeping the conversation casual.
