Dang, seriously. Pokemon has been in the US for almost ten years now. Anyone else having trouble belieiving it?

Lately, I've been having sort of an Young-Mid Life Crisis. Just been down on everything. I look at how much I've changed since I was younger, and I just hate myself. I look at my friends, and realize, I hate them too. At this point, I don't really like too much, and I've outgrown most of the things I loved when I was younger. (Basicly The 90's) I've just been into a lot of pokemon stuff lately.

Then I just realized, I've liked Pokemon for almost TEN years. People have said Pokemon is just some fad that won't last, but it's not really. I'm sure pokemon comes up at school for everyone once in a while, and everyone is making fun of it for a while, and suddenly, everyone is talking about how they used to love it, and how much fun it was. sad It happens all the time for me.

Sure, you can't walk out the door and spot a million fans as easilly as you used to, but we've lasted ten years. That boy who mocks it at school could easilly be that kid you talk to online about it. It kinda hurts. But I still love it, and openly admit it. If only more people could...

It hasn't been in the US for 10 years, if I remember the trivia correctly. It's been in existance for 10 years. The "10th Anniversary" stuff you see everywhere is actually talking about Pokemon in general, not just the US.

You sure? The 10th anniversary special was never in Japan. US, and I think it was dubbed into spanish too. Eh, I'll check up on it.

Pokemon has been in existance for 10 years. But it's been in America for only 8 years, but hey that's pretty darn close to 10.

Anyways just the other day I was chatting with a kid at school. He still likes Pokemon and goes to all the card tournaments. The last one he was at was just a few weeks ago and it's not just him his family goes too, they all play pokemon. Kinda cool eh?

If you think about it the Pokemon craze is still sort of here, it's just that all the fans are spread out and/or are afraid to show they're Pokemon Pride. Cuz when I went to Pokemon Rocks America a few years back it was PACKED AND CROWDED!! So yeah it's still popular.

Show pride, guys. Like me.
I got 4 pokemon t-shirts which I wear all the time (all very nice condition, not that worn out junk) and I go to school everyday with my pokemon backpack. I also often wear my pikachu hat in class cuz it's sexy. I'll try and take pics for show.

If you're taking pictures to prove you have it, don't worry, I believe you.

If you're taking pictures to feel sexy, Just forget it. talk2hand I don't need to see you brag about thinking you look good. I come online so I don't hear that stuff.

(Yeah, Brock wouldn't do that. I have Pokemon Pride, and Dignity Pride.)

Geez, yeah, the tournaments are crazy packed. I go to them all the time, and funny enough, there are probably just as many, if not more, full grown people playing than kids. Some are parents there to do something with their kids (which I think is really cool), adn some are there just because they've adored the game since it came out.

And Pokemon Rocks America was INSANE. The downloads line at the one here in Phoenix was ridiculous, and when I was working the TCG teaching tables, there was an endless stream of kids. I lost my voice by the end of the day. ~_^

So, yes, Pokemon is very well and kicking. I see kids at work all the time getting all excited about Pokemon, and obviously if there are constantly new leagues opening and sites like the Pokemon Center stay in business, somebody's interested.

*Mouth drops* I didn't know they still sold Pokemon shirts!! And even if I found one what would be the use they're all in kid sizes, darn they need to come out with adult sizes.

Although back when i was 9,10 & 11 I had 15 Pokemon shirts and I wore them every single day!! But as I got older I grew out of them all. crying

Heh, the only Pokemon Stuff that I would wear might be... A real life version of Lord-Wannabe-Gary-Rookie-Trainer's Jacket. Yes, I have come to admire Shinji's awesome Jacket, and I've been searching for one that looks like it. stare No luck. I'll give it some time.

The day I wear a Pikachu shirt is the day I stop loving Shinji.

I'm hoping one of my friends will take the hint and buy me this for Christmas. Otherwise I've got a spiffy 'staff' shirt from when I worked Pokemon Rocks America.
