A typical message looks something like this:
Quote:
Hello! How have you been? I haven't heard from you for a while!
X just posted X in X thread, which you were probably waiting on so I wanted to give you a heads up if you are still interested and not too busy.

This is often very helpful to me as a GM and I think it also keeps the RP going longer. The responses I get are usually very positive so I think people like the PM reminders/information and are not usually annoyed... but if they were annoyed they might not tell me, right? xd Yeah. So I have a poll:
For an RP with about 5 or more people, especially an RP where people post on a weekly or biweekly basis and not a daily basis, do you think a generalized "newsletter" every week-- or, more realistically, every time I post if there is a week or more between my posts-- would be helpful to people and not annoy them? In my experience a lot of people have internet hiccups, get sick, have school, or give up if their partner hasn't posted in a while (sometimes that's me!) or genuinely forget! My goal is just to remind people and get information if they are intending to quit so that I know what's going on. The newsletter would not be more often than once a week unless something really freaky happened. Good idea? Bad idea? Dwa?
