Personally, I think Rin died some time during the Kyuubi attack, but there are a few people who think she's still alive. Thoughts?

I think she's dead; no idea when, how, or where she died though.
Kakashi has already stated that all those close to him are already dead, though I have no idea what he means by close or if he was just doing that to help convince Sasuke to stop being an avenger.

Juuyonbi_No_Peko_=3 she wasn't all that strong anyway... stare physical strength isnt the greatest thing ever.....her strength was that she was an excelent medical ninja.

Also, Kakashi said everyone he loved was "gone", implying death, but not dead.
