I know the AYGSS members that were there last year will be there again this year (those being myself, Joshina, Peppy the Pirate, and Dorjonosama). Just figured I'd ask if anyone else planned on going this year. We could do another group photo either way.

If I had instantaneous travel and unlimited wealth, I could.

BlackRavenWyrd If I had instantaneous travel and unlimited wealth, I could. Sell all your gaia gold on ebay and you'd have instant plane tickets. Because seriously Raven, you have way too much gaia gold.

After several years of schedule conflicts, I'll be attending ComicCon this year. But things arn't shaping up as well as I'd hoped. One of the people I'm sharing a hotel room with is one of my clients. This could be bad news. He's a pain about making every trip a buisness trip so he can write it off on his taxes...
We shall see. Even with the possibility of having to work, it will be fun as long as it's in San Diego.

I'd give you money if I had any for myself.
Although if I had money I'd probably by now be on the plane to Americaland to come to ComiCon or something.
Weep. crying

Well, a little over a day from now I'll be going to get the car I'm taking to San Diego. Most likely I won't be at the convention center in time to pick up my pass for the con Wed. nite. But I'll be there Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We're scheduled to be out of the suite first thing Sunday morning and on the way home by Noon.

Well, I'm home from the con a day early. My photos are now hosted on Josh's old forum http://forums.studio-zoe.com in the picture post section of the forum. I'm sure Raven will want the Transformer I found at the con as soon as he can afford it! Not a lot to say other than seeing Jack Black rocked my @#$$%! world. Seeing his brother offer his d**k for Kevin Smith to suck as he was leaving the stage as he introduced them was worth every penny of the con admission to see. That made my whole weekend! I'm sure Floyd will have a thing or two to say when he gets home.

I just heard that Andy Helms of Buttlord GT fame announced his new comic project with Oni Press at SDCC - the marvellously named 'The Aggressive Adventures of Fearless Griggs', (via gamera's LJ anyway), which sounds like thoroughly best ever.
Otherwise there was the photofeed on Warren Ellis' website ( www.warrenellis.com ) which mainly focused on the scary side of the world's biggest Nerd Prom.
I hate being stuck over here penniless.

Er, you could rob a bank or something... twisted
It was a wondrous and mystical event. Something like being on the set of The Surreal Life, only the set was all of Downtown San Diego and there were thousands of professionals and media stars you would be bumping into at any time. Very worthwhile.
Saturday was a mind bender. Too many details to recall here and now, but bits and pieces are worthwhile to recall. The King Kong panel and the Tenacious D concert were the highlight of the early evening, capped off with a two hour Sick and Twisted animation festival later in the evening. I'll forget how much the weekend cost me long before I forget how much fun I had that one day!
