I am a Christian and I do think that God sends messages to you in dreams. I had one a couple months ago. It is sad to say, but I have been scared about that one day he will come and I am not ready for it ... I still want to be here, have kids and a family, even grandkids. For a 6 months I was soo depresed about it, that I didnt go to church (my mom is a pastor same with my grandma and grandpa). I was freaked out and thought If i went he would, i dont kno, i felt if i went i would be a disappointment. It's hard to explain.
But anyway the dream i had was when the world was ending, and I was one of the last ones, I was scared to go. And all of a sudden God showed up and said, " Don't be affraid, don't ever be scared, I am always with you!" It really touched me , now I go to church, but I still dontwant it to end for 45+ years.
Is that bad? Is it wrong to not be ready?? smile

you are right to be worried
but just imagine u could be with Jesus and God all ur life i would give up anything for that and i want to have kids and grandkids too but i want to be with God more biggrin biggrin

Its normal to be afraid. Just remember...innocent children are the first to go w/ god. Your family will go with you if theyre saved as well. My point is, you wont be leaving them. God loves them too. heart

No one's gonna be ready for when Christ returns. It'll be like a 'thief in the night'. So we just live our lives like Christians (no ones perfect) and we'll be fine.

I had a dream about that too, but more like people preparing for it, in April 2004. It didn't happen, obviously, but think about it. If you are "left behind" then you'll be the chosen few who actually know why this is all happening and it's up to you to tell everyone else. Besides, those who do become christians during that time will not be harmed, supposedly. So keep that message in mind! (the one that God sent to you from your dream!) 3nodding

first: when i read your dream... that was amazing... goosebumps all over...
second: I would like to live my life out, but i know that if Jesus does return before i have a chance to, I wont care, and neither will you. Heaven is better than anyone on earth can imagine... think of the best time you have ever had here on earth, multiply it by a million, and you are just scratching the surface...

I know exactly how you feel cuz I feel the same way. I want to get married and have a family before it happens. But I figure it's gonna happen when it happens and nothin I do or want can stop it. Sure it's kinda scary in a way, but it's also comforting to know that I'll finally be at my Saviour's side for the rest os eternity.

I only slightly know what you feel, to be honest. Now don't keep scrolling down until you find a post that 100% agrees with you smile just hear me out. I'll tell you why I don't agree with you about "not being ready."
Earth is something we've known for out entire life. It is pretty much the only thing we know. We see it with our own eyes, hear it, taste it, touch it, etc. But, we must realize that Earth is not our home! Heaven is our home; and Christ our Lord is There waiting for us.
I know having a family and being successful in life seems really important and hard to give up before trying it, but like in your dream, "Don't be afraid, don't ever be scared I am always with you!" You must take the word of God and bring it to your heart.
The thing is, Earth has its ups and downs and its brief senses of joy or jealousy or anger or lust but...Heaven erases all the things we know on earth and brings us to something far more worth it: God. There is nothing better than God! We shouldn't be scared of the end, because when the end comes so do our worries and fears, our jealousies our anger...and our Saviour Jesus Christ will take us in His arms and shout "welcome home!"

Also, I know my post is getting lengthy but I think God does speak to us through our dreams too sometimes. I am in a sort of doubting period, where I believe Jesus Christ is certainly real, but my mind is still spinning with sinful things, and a couple nights ago there was a part when I said, "I am so angry at God!" and a girl in my class who was next to me said, "Why? God loves everyone!" I know it isn't as breathtaking as yours but I still believe that He was speaking to me. cool
Anyway, don't sweat it. Being with God will be more beautiful than having a family. He is the creator of earth, heaven, the universe, and love. How much better can it get? It can't. wink

But if it's any comfort to you, there are some things some people just know (like my dad before he died knew he was going to die early in his life, and even knew what age), and I just know that I'm going to grow up and have a family. I'm going to get married and have kids. So life will last a little while longer at least.

I used to be scared of the second coming, but now I'm a bit excited. I can't wait to see what heaven's like. O f course...I'd also like to get married and have kids...but I'm not scared anymore, and that's what matters >_>;;

do you really think that if it was your wish to return because of somthing (you name it) god would tell you no
that would be really wierd
god saying no to making you happy
is that to say that god wouln't have anything to say about you staying with her (ya thats right her)
i don't know what happens
but i do know that if i wanted to come back all i would have to do is say so

u know i was thinking of that a few days ago but see this is the way i see it
God knows what u want and he is willing to make u happy. Dont get mad if u think that God will come befeore u even get married. Is all about faith! And trust me I dont know how God is goin to work all that out but all i know he'll do it cuz he's God.
And besides there are a lot of people that want to have a family before he takes us away 3nodding So dont worry! Trust him! He'll work it out somehow biggrin
