-Father Gabriel: The Young Priest of Sterlingshire-
---
Father Gabriel is a yong man who just took his vows as a 'father', and is capable of giving communion and speaking latin as a result. ALL Mass is to be conducted in Latin. ((The common man cannot speak latin. Please do not have random charcters speak this language without first telling me, via pm, an excelent reason why.))
Gabriel is an very passionate and ernest young man, and although in modern times, we look back on the church of his day as an looming and dark presense in the land, for Gabriel: it's his light. He beleives passionately in the Sacriment and the saints and angels, and beleives fully that one must come to the church to be saved. He's a very gentle man as well, doing his best to fully embody everything he beleives the love of his God to ask of a man in his service. Unlike many, he is slow to condem, prefering to try and engage others with his passion to bring them into the fold. Sterlingshire is his first asignment, and has a small 'kirk' or church, made of stone, though the stonework still retains some traits of pagan imagery to appease the other dieties, it's hidden largely as 'gargoyles' to ward off evil.

RP Challenge:
1) You have newly come to Sterlingshire and found it to be perhaps a little lax in it's faith. A town still in conflict between it's old gods and new, trying to get the villagers to come to church can be like trying to herd sheep without a crook or dog. Your faith feels woefuly tested by your failure. How do you attempt to coax your flock into the church doors for communion? Especially when some of them, like the Hunter Bran, tend to vanish for extensive periods of time, vulnerable to attacks and animals, and others like him suffer the potential of dying 'unshriven', their sins unabsolved before death by a final comunnion, which would doom them to hell?
2) Word has come down of an inquisition, people seeking to purge the devil from people with fire and iron and pain, and they eye your Sterlingshire with an dark gaze, demanding to know your progress in converting the staunch heathens, the wild, unrepentent women, and the rest.
Although the bible speaks of shepards tendency to break a lambs legs if it gets lost (a practice to teach it that running away from the flock is bad, and to pet and love it while it heals to help enforse an flock = good mindset), you aren't sure how the use of brands, racks, thumbscrews, or even such thigns as Shrews Bit's (A barbed and spiked 'gag' for the mouths of women too outspoken for taste, to cut up their mouths should they try and speak. A real, and horrible divise), are to teach your flock about the healing light of your God. What do you do? How do you answer their questions?
Edit: Character taken by Ryugen by default.
