After watching several Top Gun AMV's mixed with Macross it hit me...What is everyone's favorite fighter, this can be from real life or anime. Most likely the starfighter will be from anime or games since we dont have any in real life xD.
These are my top 3 whee .
1. F-14 Tomcat (Navy fighter) 2. SA-77J Silpheed (GameArts) 3. B-1 Lance Bomber

I'd have to say the ships from Battlestar Galactica. All of them. (Especially that nice little stealth number they used to take-down the resurrection ship.)
By far, they've done the best job that I've seen in SciFi in regards to physics. While not in an atmosphere, they can flip their crafts around independent of the direction of travel and fire. They don't need to burn fuel to maintain a constant speed and direction. You can only hear sounds in space when they're doing it for effect. Etc...
Of course, they get bonus points for ditching that accursed shakycam that made it hard for me to actually watch the show.

Now that I know that you watched Battlestar Galactica...can you give me some information as to why one of the starfighters is called the Vic-Viper? Im curious if Konami adapted the name into their game starfighter or did the producers of BSG liked the game so much that they implemented it to the starfighter.

As near as I can tell, it's just the "Viper" series. I haven't heard them refered to as the "Vic-Viper" series. BGS uses the name "Viper" because that's what the 1970s show called the crafts, and it's possible that Konami got the name from there.

Hmm, I could've sworn I saw an image titled Vic-Viper Once o_o...
