((feel free to jump in when you're free. squee))

It wasn't rare to find Ankita sitting outside of her trailer. Despite her having spent so long trying to arrange the entirety of it in a specific manner, she'd swear that sometimes Sarava would move some of the things she could out of pure sadistic humour.

Besides, she was more fond of open spaces. It always helped her concentrate, since there was less of a feeling of clutter and suffocation.

In her lap was a small bowl of Sarava's favorite fruit, which one by one she'd pick from, tossing them in the air in whatever haphazard direction she could think of to keep Sarava on her toes. Some might look at her as a careless owner, but she knew that for whatever fruit she didn't catch, Sarava would make up for by sneaking another straight from the dish.

Charlot was still searching for the workers 'quarters'. It wasn't that the place was horribly elaborate and hard to navigate... he just didn't know what the hell order it was in currently. There were personal trailers all around, decorated and not- followed by huge trailers of supplies, costumes, and whatever else a circus might need when traveling. He was about to give up and just FIND a comfy bit of earth when a piece of fruit smacked him in the face.

"Er-" He stopped, catching it as it fell. "Mm.. thanks?" Charlot glanced around for the culprit, spotting a pretty woman sitting with a bowl of fruit in her lap. His footsteps were soft as he stepped over to her, spotting the little creature sitting with her.

Maybe that thing had thrown it at him.

((aie, sorry. I'm in a 'have to share computers' situation. Oh god I miss my laptop *weep*))

Ankita's ears flicked a little at the sound of the food steps and turned her head somewhat in the direction of it.

"Sorry." she said fairly quickly, "I guess Sarava wasn't fast enough." Ankita usually tried to keep out of the way of people since, well, she couldn't see, and hated the burdening feeling that came with it.

Sarava, on the other hand, wasn't so apologetic. She scampered over quickly to his feet and looked up at him, eyeing the small piece of fruit. For a quick moment she began to reach up to him, and quickly changed her mind. She decided a full on assault would be best. No one takes her fruit with permission, and began climbing up his leg, up into his shirt, out his collar and down his arm. Rather than take the fruit, she just began eating it right out his hand.

[ no worries XD ]

"Oh, it's alright-" Charlot murmured, watching in fascination as the little creature climbed his pant leg and made it's way to the fruit he held carefully in his hand. "Looks like it got it's bit a fruit any way."

He glanced toward Ankita, offering a smile. "Uhm, m'name is Charlot- I'm one of th'new guys."

He wasn't at all aware Ankita was blind, his main attention was on the little creature eating the fruit. Couldn't be too careful with critters.

Ankita let out a small gasp that sounded somewhat like a mixture between that and a hiss, and began to make small clicking sounds to call Sarava. The creature looked at her familiar, than at the culprit, then back at her owner. And for a split moment, she glared at him, giving a strick warning to not mess with her food again, and crawled back down to sprawl across Ankita's shoulders.

Ankita turned her head in Sarava's direction and pat her head slightly "No more for you tonight". She chuckled quietly and turned once again in his direction, "Sorry, I can't quite get her to behave sometimes... I'm Ankita." She said stretching out her hand in what she was hoping was the direction in which he was standing, "And this is my little Sarava".

Charlot couldn't help but laugh a little at the display. He blinked as she thrust out her hand, side stepping infront of her to take it. Odd gesture, maybe she only shook hands from the front?

"Plea'sha t'meet you, Miz Anky'tah." He clasped her hand, giving it a firm shake before releasing it again. He crouched down where he'd been standing, resting his arms across his thighs. "And you as well, Sarava."

He tilted his head, wanting another cigarette but thinking he should save the ones he had left for 'better days'. He didn't want to run out without a place to get more.

"You would'n happen t'know where I sleep t'night, would you?"

Ankita sunk into herself a little when she heard his laugh. Apparently, her guess wasn't that spot on.

Sarava leaned her head out until her nose touched his hand, sniffing it enthusiasticly, breathing in the still remaining fruit fragrence. She grabbed his hands with her long, spindley fingers and licked at it incessantly.

"Uh, ..." She started turning her head in an obviously over-exaggerated way, and took another guess at where he was standing, and looked in the direction. "Well... I'm not so good at giving directions..." She said laughing nervously.

Charlot's eyebrows rose, realization dawning on him. There were too many little things about her that clicked at once. He let the little creature clean his hand off as he lifted his free one to gently touch the blind woman's nose.

"Pardon my askin', I 'adn't realized you couldn' see." He shifted to grab a piece of fruit, offering it to Sarava so he could reclaim his other hand... and wipe it off on his coat.

"Well, quite th'pair we make Miz Anky'ta. I don't know where t'go, and you can' tell me." There was a smile in his voice, despite the irony.

Ankita flinched at first. It wasn't very often that someone she barely knew would break her mental bubble barrier of personal space. Her lack of sight made her significantly more aware of her space, unfortunatly that only really worked when people were exceptionally close to her.

Sarava's eyes quickly glanced over to the new piece of fruit. Taking her tail and wrapping it around his wrist, pulling it close to her mouth so she can begin feasting again. She was heavily pleased over this since she was already told no more.

"Sorry I can't help you much..." She said, holding Sarava's head in her hands, trying to open her jaw to keep her from eating. "If you can't find your quarters then you're free to take Sarava's hammock for the night. It's very much too big for her anyway." Ankita turned to Sarava and stuck out her tongue. Just because she was blind, didn't mean she couldn't tell if someone was trying to sneak her a treat.

"Ah well, that's a'right." He blinked, tilting his head at her. "You offerin' me a place in your trailor Miz Anky'ta?"

That was nice, and a bit unexpected. Of all the people he'd met so far, this was one of the... well, nicest and 'normal'est he'd come across. She didn't have the creepy factor that the others had possessed.

He doubted the little squirrel creatures hammock could be big enough for him, but that didn't mean he couldn't find a bit of warm floor to sleep on.

"If you need it. I'd feel bad if you didn't find your quarters and had to sleep out here..." She said quietly. Sarava sat up quickly and looked to her. There was a quite evident 'Oh no, you're not sleeping in my bed' expression on her face.

"Besides, it'll be nice to have an extra pair of eyes, since the other pair that does work likes to use that to 'it's' advantage." She said scoffing and slouching a bit.

"Ah, well then I'd love to sleep in said hammock-" He flashed a wicked grin and wink toward Sarava, knowing full well he wasn't going to be anywhere near that little creatures hammock and most likely camping himselt out on a bit of flooring.

"Oi don' take up t'much space, I pro'miss." Since he was obviously going to be here a bit, he set his bag down and sat. The tails of his whips stuck out the bottom of his jacket, like a couple of snake tails with tiny bells at the end. They gave a muffled chime before resting against the ground.

"Y'mind if'a 'ave one last smoke?" He glanced sidelong toward Ankita and Sarava. Always polite to ask in the prescence of ladies.

"Well..." she paused for a short moment. She really wasn't fond of the smell of cigarettes and she knew Sarava would probably do something not so good in her favor, like trying to jump for the glowing cherry tip.

Little did she know, Sarava had bigger and better things on her mind.

Her ears caught wind of the chiming sounds, and she decided it'd be best to investigate. She slowly climbed down Ankita's arm, making her way surely, but cautiously, towards the target. She began sniffing at his jacket, pulling her head back every once in a while until she just shoved the light of her body in.

Ankita felt the movement and laughed nervously as she tried to grab hold of her. "I guess you can.." She said, trying hard to hold Sarava back.

"If'n it bothers you Miz Anky'ta, I can justice-soon wait." He shrugged, glancing down at Sarava made her mission getting beneath his jacket. An eyebrow raised again as he lifted a finger to scratch idly at his chops.

"She can'do not much 'arm, I've nothin' in me pok'ets but a few coins. I'm think'n she favors me bells." He tugged loose one of the whips, dangling the belled end toward the little furball.

"She's a bit of a nibbler though.." Ankita said nervously. She'd gotten into a lot of trouble because of Sarava's fairly untameable habbits.

When Sarava finally discovered what was making the sounds, she poked the little bell for reassurance. And after supporting what her theory, she began to pounce on them like mad. At this point, Ankita just let her go, she knew she'd have to get tired at some point in time.
